Mission Impossible: making an good, intersting and informative video of a fairly old design that the Leaf is with comparance to new EVs. And Kris did it with close to top score !

it's a great value but I would argue that getting a slightly used e+ with the 62kwh battery used is a way better value. especially considering they haven't really changed this car much since 2019

it really depends on where you are, here in Canada, Leaf cost thousands more than the base BZ4X and chevy bolt. It's definitely not the cheapest

In the Netherlands price starts at Euro 35.090,- for the 39 kWh version. That's almost 2 times the Norwegian price tag..

I don’t understand how it can be that expensive!

@@KrisRifa I think a combination of the basic price that the manufacturer uses together with the high tax on cars in the Netherlands

@@marczelluffulYeah, I think that might be the case. New fossile fueled cars here are taxed at 25%, while new electric cars are taxed at 12,50NOK per kg, so that would mean that a Nissan Leaf is taxed with 19 000NOK.

    • @matteoponzetto6682

In Italy is 26 900 euros, with tax incentive for electric cars I think 21 900

Knowing Nissan has otherwise moved to CCS I'm a bit puzzled they've kept it on this car. That seems like an additional cost. Maybe they're doing this aggressive pricing in part to get older parts bins out the door before it disappears into obscurity?

This car is definitely worth it in the uk if you buy second hand for example 2019 plate 65000 miles from nissan dealers around 13 grand 12 months aa,12 months warranty, lots of chademo charge point in the uk but I normally fully charge at home then top up charge at home when need to I never use 220 miles so if you are that person the car is great

    Hi!

For 199k + 10k for delivery you can get Visio version which is much worse equipped

In the Netherlands it’s starting from €35.090 I don’t know where the difference in price comes from. It’s still the 39 kWh acenta 🙄

I'm sorry Kris 😂 You say there's nothing that says that this is a cheap car? Well., hold my CCS cable 😂 I absolutely hate Chademo. And honestly I think that's why it's dirt cheap. Or was. Because here in Norway it's almost obsolete..
Take my comment with a little pinch of salt 😂 I don't vibe so good with the Leaf and Prius.
Honestly I would rather take the bus to Kristiansand 🤣 So enjoy your trip southwards

Here in Germany base model starts officially at 36K Euro (40 kWh)41K Euro (62 kWh). In Germany there are rarely CHAdeMO-Chargers, so including rapid gate any trip with 400+ Km is real pain. So Nissan sells hardly Leafs here and then only with special offers. Leaf 60 e+ Tekna 60 kWh costs 43+ K Euro and is on the same level as Tesla Model 3 SR. So here the Leaf is not really a good offer. MG4 costs almost the same and is more usable.
I think the decision to stay on CHAdeMO in europe hast cost Nissan millions of Euros and lots of market share. The Ariya is not real a top alternative compared to other brands. Nissan is in real trouble in europe.

@@KrisRifa It truly is. And the government even removed the 70k tax credit so EV marketshare has actually dropped compared to last year same months from 40 to 35%. Tbh I think tax credits are a bad way of promoting EVs, better with tax cuts like in Norway but still.
