      - First, please make this a regular thing! Let the camera dudes take over on the regular. Doesnt have to be a lot but at least once a quarter if not once per month. It was good to see Edwin back on camera for more than 60 seconds.
      - Second, this beast deserves nothing less than a GHP first. So, I propose that you all make this your drag car. Keep that low profile, flaunt that rear shifting weight distribution under acceleration. put a proper motor in it then let her rip!

The only one I remember that moved the engine had it on a hinge, so engaging the clutch was tilting the engine backwards to put tension on the belt. That is pretty wild! I was thinking of a dual gas pedal set up like that but instead of the engine sliding a spring loaded pulley would move and engage the transmission belt and then increase throttle, both happening with the single action of stepping in the gas pedal. Was thinking the similar set up for a bike build. The body is really cool! Looks like it was manufactured vs a one off build. Great job getting it running!

    The previous owner used the running gear out a riding tractor. the body is a copy of the ZZ Top eliminator. it doesn't have much ground clearance. get rid of those self tapping screws. and either use screws with nuts and grind off the excess or use rivets. I believe it would be a good candidate to give the chassis a complete redesign. the body is pretty cool maybe leave the windshield and do away with the sides. so you have room to move your arms. it would be like a Powerwheels ZZ Top eliminator the only one in existence.
    research the ZZ Top eliminator and you will find who ever built the body got it pretty close.

    You guys need to definitely do this kind of show more often. Extremely entertaining. A pulley change with that lawnmower drivetrain and then you’ll have the speed to match its looks but still no sinderella

    Hey Edwin. Great job getting it running and driving! How much did this go cart cost? Im generally curious. Its perfect for parades, swap meets, car shows, ect... either keep it low and slow or keep the body and swap/build an Ethan approved chassis. Either way great video and great find

    Definitely keep it. Ethan will have a field day with it. I know you figured this out but flooring it down that hill would have slowed it down. Zero throttle is like pulling the clutch. I always have to remember to not go to zero throttle on my golf cart on hills. If the engine shuts down, it free wheels. lol... This was a fun video and I hope to see this little hotrod taken to some kind of extreme.

      100% build it up a bit, it's too weirdly cool not to. If you do decide to flip it later fixing some of the flaws and more power in it would probably work in your favor if you keep the build on the cheap.

    Whoever made that was a damn genius, that engine movement is like a little cvt for it, it lets you have a neutralish idle

    • @kurtl6126
      @kurtl6126 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Not a cvt, it functions as the clutch. The builder could have just used a tensioner instead of sliding the whole engine so I wouldnt be reaching for the word genius here, but certainly creative

      @RatsnRods ปีที่แล้ว

    • @GunnerAsch1
      @GunnerAsch1 ปีที่แล้ว

      That thing will never be an off road cart. You can throw lots of money and parts at it.. and before long those welds are going to start breaking apart. Keep it on road and on concrete or blacktop. Interesting design, brilliant in some ways. The construction is good.. with the exception of the welds.. which unfortunately hold it all together.
      Dont sress it and it will last a long time. Stress it by banging over stuff.. and it will fall apart in short order.

  • @gregcoffey1974
