    I've quickly learned that the limiting factor is the speed of the ex, so I try to get my tractor as close to the action as possible to minimize the travel time expected of the ex. They sure are handy where you can fit them and their power to size ratio is somewhat frightening.

    Hey Papa, if you want to have a sudjection , if you not following Viny B, a Frensh- Canadian engineer who ever bought a older Massey Ferguson and put a power steering from a junked car... maybe a inspiration for getting power steering on a older tractor on the cheap.... nice worked.... good job!

      I tried a hydraulic unit from an old Ford car for a while about 15 years ago. It worked fairly good but the way my tractor is designed I couldn't turn one way as sharp so took it back off. I did put a steering gear box from a ford model T or A (not sure witch one) on the steering Colum that helped a lot. I am now a subscriber to Viny B. Thanks
