I've driven the Civic Si and the Elantra Sport GT, I'm leaning towards the Si and will probably buy it (if you guys recommend a Honda dealer in the Hamilton/Burlington/Oakville area let me know). Elantra was really nice inside, and fun enough to drive. Infotainment was better and it has some features the sedan doesn't even have (like the huge pano moonroof) but at the end of the day the Civic is more fun to drive. The shifter is awesome, like Yuri I kinda dig the light clutch, and it feels way more race car while still actually being super practical. I also found the seats way more comfortable and grippy, and the whole point of these cars is to have some fun under the speed limit. You guys should get in an Elantra GT or GT Sport if you can, it's nice little car that'll probably check a lot of boxes for a lot of people.
I watched this before I had a car. Now I have an Elantra, I'm still watching this review multiple times. You guys are enjoy to watch! Unbias and very constructive in reviewing cars.
This was pretty much the video that brought me to your guys' channel. I bought an Elantra Sport in 2018 and did some research. This was one of the videos I saw and convinced me to get the Elantra! So glad I found you guys, and it's nice watching this video again haha.
@Kekistani Refugee I'm pretty sure that Hyundai has gone up in reliability since 2011... I have to admit that the old Hyundai cars were pretty big pieces of crap, but I would dare to say that the reliability of the Hyundai cars is close to that of the level of reliability of Toyota and Honda...
I have had three people ask me or mention to me that exact fact. It looks sharp. I love the infotainment system and I will never have a car again that pairs its climate controls in the infotainment system again.
Ken S I have a 2017 Civic Si and almost everyday people ask me what kind of Civic I have because they have never seen it and they think it looks so cool. The Elantra look kind of plain to me but aye it’s still a nice car.
I purchased my Elantra Sport after that review and after near 2 years now, i don't regret my choice at all....super comfortable ride...nice interior...i LOVE the steering and the seats and the sound system is very good too...maybe i bit more thirsty on gas than the civic but...i don't care!! I love their style of review. You know how like someone seems like to start an argument but suddenly just got ignore? Hahaha they are like that about their own opinions. Love it!
I purchased a blue 2017 ES in early 2018 and it's been fantastic. It is the base model so it does not have a sunroof or navigation system but it has everything else I need. The sticker price was about $23,900 but I paid just under $20,000. If you want one, go for a 2017 or 2018 because they changed the design in 2019 and it looks terrible. The ES has plenty of power and gets good mileage. I drove it across the country and was averaging 35 mpg at 75 mph with the A/C on. No better sport sedan for the money! The exhaust sound is awesome and it handles very well.
So jelly that you guys get that yellow color Elantra Sport, north of the border, plus heated steering wheel. We could use both in Michigan. Another great vid, fellas.
Elantra this time! Civic name in the market is pretty strong but overall, the Elantra wins for me! looks Better, Cheaper (But doesnt feel cheaper) and its different! older years i give it to the civic!!!
For 5k the hyundai can get an upgraded suspension via coilovers and sway bars along with an additional 100whp via intake, full exhaust, down pipe, intercooler and custom tuning.
And yes, the Elantra is way better looking then Civic. It's appearance is refined vs an anime depiction of a car which is the Civic, especially in Type R garb.
Moved from a 2014 Si to a 2018 Elantra Sport and couldn’t be happier. If the new Si looked better (inside and out), the decision wouldn’t have been so easy.
I'm with Jakub, there are the wheels and the tires. Rims and wheels from my understanding can be used interchangeably. But doesn't really matter, we know what you're talking about!
Love this Review! Just bought a red 2017 Civic Si Sedan because of this review. The salesperson who sold it to me was a fan of you guys too, which is something we instantly connected on. The Si Sedan is really fun to drive, and is the perfect size for me. I'm six foot, and need a lot of trunk space. The seats were awesome, and the shifter and clutch was awesome! Love your guys' review and I'm looking forward to the next meet that you guys do in Mississauga!
I shopped them both and bought the Elantra. I thought the Civic was really ugly and the engine/transmission was more boring to me. I have really enjoyed owning it, it's a ton of fun to drive.
I bought the Elantra Sport 6-manual in Marina Blue. Just bought winter tires for it (Nokian R2 and matte black alloy wheels and weather tech floor liners). Easy to do with the money I saved not buying the Civic. I was originally thinking Civic but I just thought it looked so tacky in the design of the vehicle (especially the back end). I was really trying to like that car but then when I test drove the Elantra Sport, I knew I found my next car. I get many compliments on both the interior and the exterior of the vehicle. I also have a small hitch for a bike rack and with that centre exhaust on the Civic I would not be able to use the small hitch receiver. Many people have stopped me in parking lots and asked what car that is and such. The heated steering wheel in Canada is an awesome feature! I really like how when you shut the car off the needles (tach and speedometer) point straight south. Just looks cool.
I bought a 2017 Si a few weeks after they were released! It is an amazing car. Power and torque is great. Handling is superb. I don't get what all the hate people have with the rev-hang is. It doesn't bother me and I don't even notice it except for when revving hit and going to neutral. I can easily slam thru gears at WOT with no issues or jerking as mentioned. Transmission is a Honda; it is perfect.
The rim is the outer edge of the wheel. The wheel is the actually round piece of metal. The tire is the rubber that goes over the wheel, and is held in place by the rim.
Little more than 2years with my Elantra Sport and I still love it. Had 57k when I got it and now has over 101,000 miles (163,000 in km) and hasn’t skipped a beat. Just regular maintenance. Has basic Mods like a axel back, wheels and lowering springs. In case anyone is curious. The interior and exterior is holding up beautifully, I do clean it pretty regularly so that helps for sure. One gripe with this car is it should have came with a LSD. Besides that. 7.5-10 would recommend.
Styling goes to the Elantra, clutch and shifter. Cloth seats for the win in the civic. Overall I preferred driving the Elantra and will be purchasing it.
Rims usually refer to hubcaps from back a couple years when all the cars were on steelies, and they had a plastic cover it. Wheel refers to the metal part since it isn't a steelie, and tire is a tire.
I’ve driven the elantra sport (both the DCT and the Manual) back to back and for my surprise the one with the dual clutch was way more alive than the one with the manual transmission. Yet, I have to test drive the Si to see how it compares to the Elantra sport. Nice job guys keep it going :)
That piss puke yellow is actually really nice. I saw someone driving the elantra sport with that colour next to me on the 401 and dvp and I couldn't stop looking at the car. I would definitely pick the elantra sport over civic si. I've been driving my veloster for 5 years and now ready to get something more fun but waiting for the kia stinger gt and the g70 to come out to make my decision.
I've owned 2 Hondas (and driven 4) in my life. I was a Honda guy. Then I test drove both these cars. The '18 Elantra Sport was the easy winner for me. They're practically identical under the hood (rear limited slip diff being the biggest difference), but I just found it nicer to drive. The clutch - as mentioned - grabs at the perfect spot. The throws are shorter than the Cruze Eco I used to own and didn't feel significantly longer than the Si (I'd previously owned '02 SiR hatch which still has the shortest throws I've ever come across) so that wasn't an issue. Great pickup in both cars entering the highway but the Hyundai edges the Honda in terms of lag. And for me, the Hyundai's cabin just feels more comfortable. I may end up regretting having leather seats (I've always preferred cloth which never gets too hot OR too cold in our ridiculously variable Ontario climate), but for now I'm feeling very much at home in them. Pedals are gorgeous and feel great. D-shaped wheel is a tad slippery, but that may be down to the newness of the car. Proper handbrake is a huge plus, even if it is a bit snug to the driver's seat compared to what I'm used to. Infotainment is incredibly well-designed and buttery smooth to operate. The transition between the base Hyundai OS and Android Auto is seamless, as is using - for example - Maps and Sirius XM in tandem. All that stuff is good in the Honda too, but in the Hyundai it just feels almost intangibly better. Again, more comfortable. Maybe more familiar/intuitive. I can't quite qualify it, but that's how I felt. All of which led to me picking up my '18 Elantra Sport yesterday.
Honda loves their horsepower numbers to end in 5. LSD + Honda gearbox + cloth seats + no Audi grill = Honda for me. Edit: I do really love that you guys have a conversation when comparing cars. It really adds to the dynamic of the video. Edit 2: wheels/rims are interchangeable. :p
I'd say just because people like the shifter in the Si more doesn't mean it has a better gearbox. But as an ES owner, I might be biased. Then again I have a weighted shift knob and shifter bushings installed as well...
The bushings probably helped a lot with the short comings of the ES shifter. but when i was test driving them back to back, I would definitely prefer the honda one. It's a very engaging shifter, and gives you feedback when it gets into gear. I just find ES shifter (in stock form), to be a bit too long, and rubbery. The ironic thing is the clutch is RIDICULOUSLY vague on the civic. There is basically zero feedback and you have to know where the engagement point is by travel. It's definitely easier to drive in day to day traffic, but for an Si I it's already not that comfortable, why compromise on the sportiness when you go all in on sporty already
skifree Funny, I drove the Si recently and didn't find it to be as good as everyone raves about. Drove it back to back with a Focus ST and preferred the Focus to be honest. Either way, the ES shifter might not be the best but it's certainly not terrible. The Sentra SR Turbo / Nismo shifter takes that crown.
lol, I'm also may have a tiny bias as I own the Si (But its a coupe), Never really went back to ford after my nightmare experience with them. Had a 95 escort coupe that basically blew a head gasket and destroyed the engine on the side of the highway. I hope ford has done better in the recent years, But just on a emotional level I don't think I can be happy with one again as for the Si vs the ES. I personally think they are both great cars. And just like the review said either one is a good buy. the ES though is quite a bit cheaper, but when it comes to trade in, you can get much more out of an Si. Cost of onwership I would say they are more or less on par with each other What boiled it down for me is, I personally like the steering rack on the Si more. The ES is just a bit too numb for my tastes (I owned a 13 optima with the earlier electric racks from Hyundai Kia, and they were so numb it felt like a video game). Also the seating position on the Si is quite a bit lower, which I prefer
Great comparison of two cars that are similar in so many ways on paper. However, worth noting that if you look at one or two year old models, the available used 2017+ Civic Si models are generally $10k more than the available 2017+ Elantra Sport models.
Hyundai Elantra all the way. Unless one is 15.5 going on 16 and wants something that looks like a riced out whatever that is (Civic is ugly IMO), the Elantra is such a better car all around. These small differences that were mentioned doesn't really matter in the real world. The only reason the Civic has the auto passenger window is for teenagers that want to be seen showing off their rice rocket. jk jk... On a serious note, way more car, way better car and looking with the Hyundai Elantra. Here's the biggest kicker. Lets not forget about the Hyundai N Sports line! That i30 Hatch is amazing and folks this is only the beginning for Hyundai/Kia.... Honda and alike has had years of experience in this performance game.... this is Hyundai/Kias first and even with the first product, it's kick@!! amazing.....N series for Hyundai and how about that Kia Stinger. + Of course the killer warranty, high strength steel produced in house by Hyundai (Many % more rigid than the competition) and oh that warranty? Yes, that warranty. It stomps all. Hyundai was right..." Rethink EVERYTHING." -- It has begun... no one is laughing anymore...
Totally agree. I bought the Elantra Sport and loved the fact that Hyundai produces their own virgin steel and the warranty on my car is amazing especially getting the undercoat lifetime warranty.
@@BenetonXD 43k hard miles on my Elantra Sport in less than two years. Only warranty claim I've had is a squeaky cooling fan. Before that, I had a Forte Koup that went 26k with zero warranty claims. No complaints from me so far on reliability.
@@BenetonXD ok then. My mom recently sold her 2008 Kia Spectra to my aunt with over 120k miles on it, which has had no major repairs done on it during her ownership outside of regular maintenance. Still going strong.
I'd definitely go with the Hyundai Elantra Sport. It looks so much more comfortable (those Sport leather seats look awesome) and the interior looks much nicer. In the long run, I'd be much happier owning the Hyundai Elantra Sport over the Honda Civic even though there are some great things about the Honda Civic.
I'm so jealous...socialized health care, a non-crazy person running your country and now an M3/m4 yellow-green Elantra. Seriously though, the Elantra is 5k cheaper then the Civic up there? If not for the Type R, I would definitely be looking into getting the Elantra GT Sport (wagon version). That car has a lot more space then the smaller crossovers and way better to drive, and the large panoramic sunroof. That car even tempts me from the Type R but Hyundai has the I30n now which has got to make it's way over to N. America.
Trauma Dynamics troudeau is totally nuts, turning canada into ISIS, people die before being seen at the hopital waiting room, i will give u the yellow for this car but thats it
Wheels = the metal/alloy hub Tires = rubber portion Rim = the rim of the wheel Just look at any website such as tirerack or quattrotires, no shop ever refers to them as rims
The inside is the wheel. The outside is the tire. That thing you steer with is a steering wheel, not a steering rim. The edge of the steering wheel is the rim of the wheel.
They are wheels, not rims. A wine glass has a rim but you call it a glass. I like the format of comparing cars in this manner. Good idea. I always hope for base models and manual transmissions when I watch videos. Specs can be looked up so thank you for having personalities and giving driving impressions.
FriscoFlo and they have the best warranty because they are some of the most reliable cars on the road. The Honda is 5k more because it says Honda on it and people like that.
LOL...that's why Hyundai/Kia has surpassed Honda and Toyota a long time ago with rewards with reliability. This is 2017, not 1999. - A company wouldn't or couldn't afford to offer the Worlds best warranty if it couldn't back it up. They'd go bankrupt.
The rim is the "outer edge of a wheel, holding the tire". It makes up the outer circular design of the wheel on which the inside edge of the tire is mounted on vehicles such as automobiles. I got this from the internet but got to I agree with Yuri, I always remember everyone calling it rims, even games and websites
Ehh I'm not sure about way better, but it might have just a slight edge. However, it's all about the driver. It'd be more accurate to say that they are both neck to neck, depending on the driver. This would give the Hyundai Elantra Sport and edge as it beats the Civic in every category that actually matters.
iunlock guru which categories matter for this type of car? Steering feel? Civic. Acceleration feel civic. Brake feel. Civic. Shifter feel(short throw not long.. which is not sporty at all) civic. Fun to drive factor, Civic. Plus you get the adaptive dampers when you don't want a harsher ride. The Civic is also lighter than the Hyundai. For a fun to drive/sporty car, the Civic beats the Elantra. Which is what these two cars are made for. Go watch savagegeese video on the si then get back to me.
Its not 5 grand better though and lets be honest you are more likely to get a deal on the elantra than you would the civic only widening the gap. Hondra dropped the ball and thats the truth.
So which car would you guys pick and why?
Liked the Elantra better.. Bettr daily i think.. But miss those LSD on Honda
I've driven the Civic Si and the Elantra Sport GT, I'm leaning towards the Si and will probably buy it (if you guys recommend a Honda dealer in the Hamilton/Burlington/Oakville area let me know). Elantra was really nice inside, and fun enough to drive. Elantra for me. Elantra looks much classier than the Civic.
Hey does canada have i30 N ??
I love this 2 guys when they argue..
They know how to make this reviews...awesome
I'd definitely go with the Elantra Sport.
Nicer
Comfortable

Cheaper
Different

Civic is more efficient and faster to 100 though
@@Adrenadriven7Elantra will handle more power if you mod it though
New watcher but I love the back and forth commentary you guys do. The chemistry is perfect and it doesn’t seem forced or scripted. Great job!

Elantra Sport for me. Better equipment and better looking. If it had a mechanical LSD like the Civic SI it wouldn't even require thought

for me Honda makes you look distinguishable from others in a fashionable way
Bro facts
$5k difference!!!! Elantra easily wins....
and when you try and resell your Elantra you lose that $5K difference. Honda holds its resale value better than any manufacturer on the market.
Jim Burke I don't think there will be 5k difference when reselling these cars. Maybe 2k..
honda civics have lost that good resale value they once had unfortunately
Not to mention Hyundai will give you a better discount at purchase and better/easier financing options.
Insurance rates should be lower for the elantra.

5000$ difference? That's HUGE. BUT, I won't be caught dead in a Hyundai.
The elantra because it has a volume knob!

We just drove the new honda accord, if the SI had that new infotainment... whole new ball game
personally I only use the volume on the steering wheel anyways... :)

One gripe with this car is it should have came with a LSD. Besides that. 7.5-10 would recommend.
Freakin color on Elantra is beautiful.
Styling goes to the Elantra, clutch and shifter. Cloth seats for the win in the civic. Overall I preferred driving the Elantra and will be purchasing it.
Have great time with the Hyundai
Rims usually refer to hubcaps from back a couple years when all the cars were on steelies, and they had a plastic cover it. Wheel refers to the metal part since it isn't a steelie, and tire is a tire.
+Daniel Colucci Yesssssssss
????
Dude is correct. Tire plus rim equals wheel assembly.
This Elantra looked really good, I wish they hadn't made it ugly in 2019. :-(
@Hillard Liggins I have a 2018 SE but would have considered upgrading to a new sport in the last year of this gen if they had kept it as is.
Same. I'm glad I got mine in 2018, when sunroofs became standard. They only had this good look for TWO years!
🚗🚗Elantra wins 🚗🚗
I’ve driven the elantra sport (both the DCT and the Manual) back to back and for my surprise the one with the dual clutch was way more alive than the one with the manual transmission. Yet, I have to test drive the Si to see how it compares to the Elantra sport.
Nice job guys keep it going :)
+Obai Mand thanks!
I swear both of these cars sound better than the Type R
+Dylan Wodrich exhaust wise, yes they do. Intake wise, the Type R has them both beat
TheStraightPipes woah you guys responded???? Holy crap! I love your channel, keep up the amazing work!!!
+Dylan Wodrich thanks man! We try to respond as much as we can :)
+Ricardo the Veloster is getting a refresh very very soon FYI!
TheStraightPipes oh I know. I'm looking for something little more family friendly lol
+Ricardo gotcha!
when i say i'm getting new wheels i mean the rims and that's my interpretation when other people say it.
lyin4rmu but when u get new "wheels"(rims) that are bigger and need new tires you're getting new "wheels"(rim and tire)
+Jason Miller the focus St is definitely more fun
lol, I'm also may have a tiny bias as I own the Si (But its a coupe), Never really went back to ford after my nightmare experience with them. Had a 95 escort coupe that basically blew a head gasket and destroyed the engine on the side of the highway. I hope ford has done better in the recent years, But just on a emotional level I don't think I can be happy with one again
as for the Si vs the ES. I personally think they are both great cars. And just like the review said either one is a good buy. the ES though is quite a bit cheaper, but when it comes to trade in, you can get much more out of an Si. Cost of onwership I would say they are more or less on par with each other
What boiled it down for me is, I personally like the steering rack on the Si more. The ES is just a bit too numb for my tastes (I owned a 13 optima with the earlier electric racks from Hyundai Kia, and they were so numb it felt like a video game). Also the seating position on the Si is quite a bit lower, which I prefer
Elantra Sport is insanely impressive. It's pulling 0-60 times between 6.3 - 6.5. Thats just behind GTI manual territory.
Hyundai i30n. That's a nice car.
SeñorCheese We'll be getting the Veloster N on this side of the pond...but yes that i30N is looking real nice
+thehollowlingwin I think they should make a special edition called the Velobster and make it textured like a Lobster
Yes they need to Bring the i30N to the USA, just look how well the ST sold! people will buy it, its going to be a great car!
Great comparison of two cars that are similar in so many ways on paper. However, worth noting that if you look at one or two year old models, the available used 2017+ Civic Si models are generally $10k more than the available 2017+ Elantra Sport models.
Rim + Spokes + Hub = Wheel
Wheels + Tires = Wheels and Tires
Yuri you should know that lol
They Elantra looks more so much more expensive and classy. The current model civic looks so cheap and immature in every trim.
Elantra
Budget Audi
Honda
Riced out of the factory
The Honda is no way riced out it looks better than the Elantra
Hyundai over Honda . There ain’t no freakin way . Keep telling yourselfs they are just as good . They are not.
Love your show. You guys are the Mordecai and Rigby of automobile journalism.
elantra sport
4:19 Jacob sounds like that kid at Christmas that was disappointed but acts happy lmao!

You guys deserve more subscribers! keep up the good work i enjoy it a lot
+Hideaki Y thanks! Share the videos with your buddies 😃
The boys back at it!! Elantra is much gooder overall I think, good ol Canadia!! Great work boys 😎
+Gianco Mosto haha thanks
Gianco Mosto much gooder? Lol
"gooder"
"Gooder" :O
Haha glad you guys like my “gooder” vocabulary
ELANTRA because of the knobs and the old school E-brake
If you finance, resale value is a factor.. So for me Honda all the way!!!
Eh, if you keep it for a long time it doesn't matter.
@@JTube571 Resale value tends to indicate reliability. Coincidentally, Honda usually has an edge in that department.
@@BenetonXD 43k hard miles on my Elantra Sport in less than two years. Only warranty claim I've had is a squeaky cooling fan. Before that, I had a Forte Koup that went 26k with zero warranty claims. No complaints from me so far on reliability.
@@JTube571 Your comment mentioned "keeping it a long time". To most car buyers/owners in this segment, 43k is still considered fairly low miles.
America.
+Trauma Dynamics Canada is pretty good
Trauma Dynamics
Trauma Dynamics troudeau is totally nuts, turning canada into ISIS, people die before being seen at the hopital waiting room, i will give u the yellow for this car but thats it
Rim is the metal center, tire is the tire, the whole thing is the wheel. The rim does definitely not just refer to the edge.
Wheels = the metal/alloy hub
Tires = rubber portion
Rim = the rim of the wheel
Just look at any website such as tirerack or quattrotires, no shop ever refers to them as rims
+Brandon Hoang YES THANK YOU
Brandon Hoang exactly!
The inside is the wheel. The outside is the tire. That thing you steer with is a steering wheel, not a steering rim. The edge of the steering wheel is the rim of the wheel.
currently driving a 99 accord i think its time to get a civic
Double wishbone :oo. Throttle cable :oo
Kresnik No buy the elantra because civic looks ugly
They are wheels, not rims. A wine glass has a rim but you call it a glass.
I like the format of comparing cars in this manner. Good idea.
I always hope for base models and manual transmissions when I watch videos.
Specs can be looked up so thank you for having personalities and giving driving impressions.
My Elantra Sport has auto climate control.... :-)
+Greg Matejcik you got an upgraded package then!
faaaaaaaancccyyyyyyy
My sister has the clap.
Your channel needs a viral video i think, do something crazy. You guys deserve it
+mustafa hussain Hahah thanks. We just want to put out quality content
"Diarrhea poop yellow"! Hilarious!!!😅😅😅 im with civic..or neither because im too lazy now to drive manual 😉
That means you're with the Elantra Sport. The ES has a dual clutch automatic. Only other company that does that is VW with the GTI.
Great review guys! Production quality was fantastic you guys need to shoot more reviews at golden hour. You guys are going up
+Christian Roche thanks! Golden hour is cheating ;)
It'd come down to the civic bcs of the reliability. There's a reason these almost equal cars have a $5k price difference
King King You must be stuck in the old mindset of Hyundai from the past. Best warranty in the business buddy.
They'd go bankrupt.
not so sure if Honda is reliable anymore, Honda is actually playing catchup games in term of the small turbo engine era right now.
Jason Cao - True, they have lots of problems with CVT and other electrical
The rim is the "outer edge of a wheel, holding the tire". It makes up the outer circular design of the wheel on which the inside edge of the tire is mounted on vehicles such as automobiles.
I got this from the internet but got to I agree with Yuri, I always remember everyone calling it rims, even games and websites
+Jungle Asian everyone's wrong
TheStraightPipes welp... my time here is done
+Jungle Asian Hahahah
You guys are awesome.
+Jason Cooper thanks!
Yuri is right, the rim is the rim and the tire is the tire and both together are the wheels
Si is a way better sporty car. I'd compare the Elantra sport to the Civic hatch sport if anything.
Edit. Sporty
Ehh I'm not sure about way better, but it might have just a slight edge. However, it's all about the driver. It'd be more accurate to say that they are both neck to neck, depending on the driver. This would give the Hyundai Elantra Sport and edge as it beats the Civic in every category that actually matters.
Neither of them are a "Sports Car". Sporty car? Yes. Sports car? No.
iunlock guru which categories matter for this type of car? Steering feel? Civic. Acceleration feel civic. Brake feel. Civic. Shifter feel(short throw not long.. which is not sporty at all) civic. Fun to drive factor, Civic. Plus you get the adaptive dampers when you don't want a harsher ride. The Civic is also lighter than the Hyundai. For a fun to drive/sporty car, the Civic beats the Elantra. Which is what these two cars are made for.
Go watch savagegeese video on the si then get back to me.
+Fadic 4 savage geese is the man!
Its not 5 grand better though and lets be honest you are more likely to get a deal on the elantra than you would the civic only widening the gap. Hondra dropped the ball and thats the truth.
Round metal thingy = wheel. Rubber thingy mounted to the wheel = tire. Wheel + Tire = wheel assembly.
