He presents training in 7 days. Each of 7 items are commands that he believes a dog should know. They are presented in part ii of the book th-cam.com/users/postUgkxK8-VQWpYThx4IC6MiIvb6VS1ebTzzdxq . The parts of the guideare divided: part i know your dog part ii the seven commands part iii cures for 7 behavior problems. Each chapter presents a topic, a dog's story, and a "what to do". It was written simply and you can jump from chapter to chapter to review anything as needed.
Update on Ace - I have gotten him involved in playing some of the games th-cam.com/users/postUgkxECnmSvBSv_NGWx4_ChD73pF3NYZwI2F3 and I can see a difference in his confidence already! My other dog played along and he became intrigued - now its a daily part of our routine - about 3 times a day we do the shell game and the muffin tin game. I am so grateful for coming upon your training techniques!

I just bought this crate after purchasing a cheap metal one. I love this crate. It is worth every penny especially if you are going to be using the crate for long term.

Haha same! Just got back from vacation where we had a hard time collapsing our ‘collapsible’ dog crate so started researching better crates with the mindset of ‘I don’t care how much it costs! Best of the best for my pup!’ Turns out I do care 😅 I don’t think this would collapse to fit in a small plane anyway. It sure looks nice though!

At first I thought this crate was way too expensive. My 12 week old yorkie has figured out how to open her wire crate on her own, so I have purchased a Diggs crate! Can't wait for it to be here!

Ur videos definitely helped me become confident when me and my mom got our shih tzus Coco and Charlie. I remembered my German shorthair always unlocked himself when he was a puppy. I miss him so much. He was a weird but vary loving family dog.
Way too pricey. Wire crate works for now and then when my dude is fully trained (JUST GOT HIM TODAY!) I’ll think about upgrading.

@@dianastamos4439 My family and I were originally looking to adopt but no dog matched what we were looking for. We started to lose hope when my friend told me about this woman who is an experienced breeder and she takes very good care of them so she doesn't make them just unhealthy. So I told my family that I would look into her and they were fine with it. So we were originally looking for a rescue dog but we couldn't find anything. And also please may I point out that Wally is from a breeder. Rachel also says there is NOTHING wrong with buying a dog.
@Diana Stamos There’s nothing wrong with getting a puppy from a breeder as long as you go to a good breeder that cares about the dogs.

Does the groove toy work in regular wire crates? I love the toy but I can’t afford the crate.
Is it ok to share the crate pad with other dogs? Not sure about germs or viruses. Also, is height a better indicator of crate size than weight?

Hey Rachel / everyone, I am teaching my 4 year old dog to crate training now. She has always had another dog or a person around so I haven't had to crate train until now. My new roommate and I work the same schedule so she is home alone now. she is showing that she has separation anxiety big time. I first noticed this when I was visiting home and I had to leave her at my parents house but once someone came around she was okay, but they could tell she was still very anxious because I was not around. When I leave her at my apartment she scratches at the door and now it has become a problem because she is scratching so much its taking off the paint. I am having such a hard time crate training because she is comfortable sitting in the crate and laying in it but once the door is closed she starts to cry and scratch at the crate door even if it is just for 30 seconds. Just this just take a lot of time? I reward her for staying in there, but again once the door closes or I walk away she starts to cry.
Your videos are so usefull for me. Because I am getting a new puppy tomorrow.

We just got our pup yesterday and he hates his crate. As soon as my dad put him in last night and shut the door he started barking and squealing. I've told my mam we should start feeding him in his cage so he knows it's a good place to be

Hi Rachel, do you have any advice on kennel training a year and a half doodle? We will soon be getting the sibling of our existing pup. They are both a year and a half but unfortunately this dog has received little to no training and well, our dog is perfect. Lol. Thanks for your videos And us starting at eight weeks. My biggest concern is kennel, training him and not to bolt out of the door the moment that it’s open. According to his current mom, he absolutely hates the kennel, but I feel like at a year and a half. It’s definitely possible to fix.

I’ve just discovered you! Wonderful videos. I’m getting ready to adopt a dog, probably one year to five years old. As far as overnight is concerned, do you recommend the crate be in the bedroom with you, or in the room where we’ll play games in the house.? I was going to convert my office into an office/dog play room.
how do I break our puppy from peeing in her crate. we got her at 18 weeks. her prior owner let her pee/poo in her crate. it's been hard to break her from doing this. what suggestions can you give me to break her of this?

My 9 week old puppy is super confident but is not very good motivated somewhat of a picky eater. I am slowly transitioning him from his kibble to raw food and he does prefer the raw food and sometimes licks it off the kibble and spits it out. I put water in his food and mush it into the raw food but then he gets picky and seems uninterested in food altogether so I think he prefers the kibble hard not wet. I hand feed him and train him for each meal using your puppy biting video keeping the food under my thumb and slowly releasing it only when he licks but he wants nothing to do with the crate. He doesn’t care about toys or a slow feeder in his crate or in general. I am crate training and have been since I got him. I wished I could have slowly built him up to liking the crate but I have to lock him in there at night and he whines and hates it. I always put him in there for naps too and sometimes he whines then but he always wakes up when I pick him up and realizes he’s going in the crate and tries to fight going in. I want him to love his crate. I have been using a small plastic one temporarily in the smallest size from Walmart the day I got him but I just received his diggs crate, which I also bought day one just took about a week to ship, and I bought the groov tool hoping he would be motivated by it the same way Wally was but I’m worrying just like his slow feeder or even a normal bowl I have put in his crate, he won’t be interested. Could it be just the stress of his new environment/routine? Will I always HAVE to hand feed him? Is this normal? Will it get better over time?
Would you recommend the Revol or Evolve dog crate?

im babysitting my nephews 9 week old ch lab. he had her pretty used to her crate for nightime, but… i have 2 other dogs who she is packing with, and she ends up whaling now at bedtime. is this because she sees my dogs sleeping on my bed with me? because i can leave them outside my room until she goes home
