I did exactly the same thing at 1:35, how clever!
I enjoyed watching how the camera frame rate played with the spinning bowls.
As the piece was turning it appeared as if it was breathing....coming to life so to speak. Extraordinaire

I've recently become addicted to wood turning videos on TH-cam. There are lots of channels out there and everyone has their own style and approach. I have to say Olivier is my favourite so far. Just the ingenuity that goes into the segmented designs and the pure beauty of the finished parts is truly amazing. Bravo Olivier, it's great to see a creative and talented individual producing such incredible work!
I also love the fact that:
1. The first thing Olivier does is credit the artist who inspired his work.
2. So many of the jigs and tools used (such as the steady rest) are all home made.
A real class act!
Oh Olivier, c'était vraiment magnifique. Not only the dark & light wood together but intercutting work on one with another. Your skill as a videographer is equalling your talent as a wood worker. Absolument magnifique.
Always love watching you make your pieces. The tapered cuts on the bandsaw were actually brilliant! I wouldn't have thought of doing it that way.
I was going to just Like a comment someone else made, and I did that. I then realized that, while we, your viewers, know that you make incredible and almost unbelievable art, the algorithms in TH-cam don’t recognize that until you get lots of likes, comments and shares. I’m going to be sharing this video next.

Those are absolutely stunning! But you must have felt dizzy turning them....light, dark!! Beautiful. You are so talented.
Beautiful! I didn’t realize you were making 2 different pieces. At the end when you were sanding and sealing the bottoms, I was confused how they kept switching between light and dark wood

YES! That's the word i couldn't think of. The light wood looks like pearl when the oil goes on it. It's just wonderful.
