First time here. The video is the perfect length and the perfect amount of talking. You are funny and sincere and it was a pleasure to watch. The part where you talk with your mouth full... i laughed out realy loud. Thanks!
I don’t even know where to begin. I LOVE that you talked throughout this video which btw wasn’t too long at all. There was a lot to learn and experiences. I love your humor especially about a woman organizing the frig lol. You are quite an amazing young man and your talent is always amazing as well. You’ve been missed but I can understand you’d rather put out GREAT content than wood turn another bowl. And don’t even get me started on wood turning with resin lol. Olivier, I gotta say you are probably in the top 5% of all designing, creating, and building video producers out there. Your projects are complex, but all with a purpose and beautifully done from start to finish. You have a talent for creating like very few others out there, I could watch your videos all day and I'm sure many others agree, keep up the good work!
Loving the new content, longer videos, and the talking. I know nothing about woodworking so when you explain what you are doing, it really helps me appreciate the details. Adding machining to your skills will open up a lot more content ideas. Pay no mind to the thin-skinned people. They ALWAYS need a reason to cry. You made a beautiful piece of functional art! As I’m a long-time viewer of your channel I saw you grow and grow. Now you are adding machinery into your projects… wow. This design and the execution is stunning. Well Olivier, this is the first video of yours that I have seen. The dresser turned out beautifully. It reminds me of the drafting cabinets for plans since the drawer are so shallow. Your attention to detail is remarkable. Your ability to come up with solutions for your build shows great ingenuity. I don't know if you have any visitors, but you may want to attach the dresser to the wall to prevent it from tipping over. I bet you can come up with an ingenious hidden way of doing that. If you need to keep your fridge properly arranged, do what I did buy plastic fridge containers and put like things together. This solves the problem of being able to find things in the back and nothing gets lost.
As an "old school" wood machinist with all 10 fingers, I can appreciate everything you did and went through building this masterpiece. Congratulations on an exceptional design and execution. I'm enjoying this format and look forward to this new, varied content.

Being a foreigner living in France I also appreciate the French touch here and there and that you do the effort to narrate in English. I appreciate your dry humour and comments with the nice French accent. The cabinet turned out great.
Awesome build and great project. Having done a project with a lot of drawers and dealing with the hardware, I am very impressed with both the design and the fit. I also loved the flow of the grain across the whole front. Very well thought out as usual!

I enjoyed the video and the piece. You do NOT talk too much. Just right. I've followed your channel for years now and have really enjoyed and admired your creativity. I don't do the same kind of things that you do and I work at a hobbyist level rather than at a professional level but I can say that some of your ideas have appeared in modified formats in my work. LOL...love the sit-up bar! Another fantastic project, love all the genius jigs and clever constructions you invented along the way! And happy to see all ten fingers made it through too. Cheers!😊
WOW! Very impressive. Yes the video was a bit longer than usual but the project deserved it. Design and execution are both exceptional as usual. Well done Olivier. A true visionary and craftsman!
This was a very entertaining and informative video. Thank you for all your comments about your reasoning for this beautiful and practical dresser. I agree that conventional furniture intended for clothing storage leaves a lot to be desired. Your attention to detail and creative fixes of issues, like making your own nuts, made this dresser a success. I chuckled about your adjustment to make your situps more comfortable. Your mind is a precious and unique extension of your life as a whole! I imagine your future to be one of exploring new horizons in your maker world. I love your comments on TH-camrs who dramatize their videos. Also a big agree on we’ve seen enough epoxy tables and buckets of epoxy being dumped on slabs of wood.
Awesome job! As a victim of deep drawers and random folding, I NEED a cabinet like that and cannot believe they are not available! But I can see the work in it and suspect that I am also a victim of not enough money to buy one! 😃 You are a skilled creator of not only well-presented videos but also on beautiful, practical and novel furniture. Well done!
Oliver, hello from Russia. I do woodturning myself. I learn from you from your videos. Your videos, humor and irony are very good! I'm waiting for new videos))
Your woodworking is amazing and your jokes are hilarious. I laughed out loud a couple of times at least. Even my wife appreciated the joke about the fridge. I don't see how some people don't get it. Keep up the great videos and the humor.
In my experience, folks who make jokes about controversial topics tend to do a short laugh at their own joke to indicate that it is in fact a joke. I imagine that's why some people in the comments got butthurt (or they find ways to make someone else "the bad guy" so they can be the good guy).
Love this! I completely agree with your comments regarding missing fingers, my dad was a woodworking teacher and has lost parts of his fingers on both hands. It’s so good to see safety being taken more seriously these days, but not to the extent that it gets in the way. You do what makes you feel safe and comfortable and you’ll have a much better chance of keeping all 10 fingers! Please keep the videos coming, I love them all. I especially love the narrated ones as your sense of humour is wonderful! Keep it up! I hope one day I can afford something of yours.
A fantastic, stylish and very practical piece of furniture, Olivier. I grew up in my father's joinery workshop where he made specialist one-off peices. I wish he was still alive to see your work. He would have been so happy to know guys like yourself are keeping the highest levels of craftsmanship going. You and he would have a lot to talk about.... And yes, he only had 9 fingers! 😂
Amazing creativity, with precise engineering and exemplary attention to detail. All of this yet the result looks so classy and simplistic. That in itself is a challenge. Well done you, always enjoy the content and balance of narrative to accompany and explain.
It looks so simple but it's great skills and art, hear and hard work . I was glued to my computer for 47 minutes , thank you for sharing your job and your ideas .
Great build, thanks for sharing. I wasn't expecting to watch a 46 minutes video on woodworking, but hey... Here I am. Looking forward for the next one. Cheers
I love the dresser because it is practical, and it make sense. I also like you talking and your anecdotes especially about the river tables which has lived it sell by date, I agree 1oo%. Keep making good furniture and keep up the great work. 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Exceptionnel, comme toujours ! Et les abdos à la toute fin, un excellent clin d'œil. Merci de nous partager ce savoir-faire et ton sens de l'humour toujours à propos.
Oh I don't know about impractical. I'd love to have something similar. Maybe just the top 3 or 4 draws so narrow for bras, knickers and socks & T shirts. With remainder normal size.
A lot of hard work, a lot of skills, perfect results! You're not only a very good carpenter but you're also very good with metal! Congratulations and I wish you many successful projects!
Thats a great project & works so well. Look great. It does remind me if old architectures drawing plan draws but classier. So much thought has gone into it. I like the talking over it & explaining why you do things & i love your sense of humour, 😂 keep that going 👏🏼 excellent 👌
just when I think you cannot produce something more complicated than the previous project, you blow my mind. Absolutely love what you do and adding the machining side (my own profession) is very entertaining. Wishing you a happy Christmas from Nouvelle-Zélande.

The video is perfect. Not too long. Exactly the right amount of talking. The chest is beautiful wood, I would never get tired of looking at the wood patterns themselves, and the piecing required in the sides of the chest adds to the visual interest with the grain and the spalting. I have wanted a dresser just like this all my life; I hate having my clothes stacked up and hate drawers that are never the right sizes for the clothes. Your design, to my eyes is very beautiful, and I would never tire of its proportions and lines. Now I just need piles of money and you might make one for me too. Love your videos!

Thanks for that.
And anyone who can't take a small joke really needs to re-assess their mindset. In my opinion at least.
I love the video! Beautiful dresser love the idea. OMG! Randomly doing sit-ups in front of the dresser. Keep up the great work
LOL...love the sit-up bar!
This dresser, Sir, is a work of art! Bravo!!!!!
Keep the faith in your abilities as active as you can so that you live a long life and enjoy what is normal for you. I pray that you continue to be blessed and safe as you navigate your existence. La démonstration pinard-pain-sauciflard m'a tué 😂😂😂! Sinon, Magnifique vidéo très instructive et surtout superbe réalisation 👍
Absolutely wonderful job. Design, engineering, build quality. All very well done. The amount of narration is perfect. Take negative comments with a grain of salt. Your work and sense of humor are excellent! 😊
An absolutely stunning piece of furniture! It was nice to hear your explanations, and being English and unable to speak any other language it was great to be able to understand what you were saying, thank you!
Beautiful piece, I like the repetition of the drawer fronts with the arrangement of wood grain giving a kind of gradient effect.
Absolutely beautiful the dresser turned out stunning. Your attention to details is just amazing I love your videos and always keep my ey eyes out for anything new from you Sir you are a true artist and craftsmen. Thanks for sharing keep up the great work.
You are one of the best woodcrafters I've ever seen. And I watch a lot of different woodcraft you tubers. Love your videos, keep it up!
Not enough words to describe how AMAZING this is.
OUTSTANDING!! Your engineering skills are tremendous. Loved EVERYTHING about the video.
Thank you for watching !
that's definetely the best dresser ever, great work
Great build, thanks for sharing.
Regarding the clamps, sometimes "because I can do it" is just the reason needed.
C'est pas une commode, c'est une œuvre d'art. Bravo.
Awesome video. Talking with your mouth full after the baguette demonstration really made me laugh.
Exceptionnel, comme toujours ! Et les abdos à la toute fin, un excellent clin d'œil. Merci de nous partager ce savoir-faire et ton sens de l'humour toujours à propos.
Fantastic build. Absolutely impractical but holly molly that is gorgeous.
Oh I don't know about impractical. I'd love to have something similar. Maybe just the top 3 or 4 draws so narrow for bras, knickers and socks & T shirts. With remainder normal size.
@ haha. I meant impractical to make. That dresser would probably cost $20k
Awesome cabinet, great clamps, tasty weight-loading demonstration! I enjoyed the conversational nature of the video. thanks for sharing!
37:50 this is the most french thing I've seen this month
Thanks for the reference. I missed the snack and chewing, the first time through. LOL
A lot of hard work, a lot of skills, perfect results!
You're not only a very good carpenter but you're also very good with metal!
Congratulations and I wish you many successful projects!
Using the straw for glue clean up is brilliant!
Saw that in a @MariusHornberger video.
@ I'm definitely going to steal that from you guys!
I do this all the time - it's amazingly effective for such a - free - solution. Just nip the straw at an angle to create a pointy part.
Thats a great project & works so well. Look great. It does remind me if old architectures drawing plan draws but classier. So much thought has gone into it. I like the talking over it & explaining why you do things & i love your sense of humour, 😂 keep that going 👏🏼 excellent 👌
Your buddy has a bandaged finger!
Great job with this ! AND the bending baguette was impressive!
just when I think you cannot produce something more complicated than the previous project, you blow my mind. Absolutely love what you do and adding the machining side (my own profession) is very entertaining. Wishing you a happy Christmas from Nouvelle-Zélande.
Your videos can not be long enough.
You don't talk to much.
Your humour is 👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼😁 and the cabinet is awesome!
Beautiful work all around - narration, wood manipulation and videography. From one Olivier to another, I can say your skill and effort are an inspiration!
Subscribed just because this is amazing work and that joke was spot on.
I not only like your work, but your commentary is very entertaining, too. Great job(s)!
Appreciate your videos & sense of humor too!! Keep up the Awesome work!
WOW! This is amazing. I love the new content. You're a wood genius. It's true you can learn a lot of things from watching TH-cam, but natural talent and an empathy for the wood can't be learned.
Hi Olivier. I’m the Brit who can’t afford an Aston Martin so has to make do with a Peugeot 3008 😂. What a beautifully practical work of art you’ve produced. Not only a talented wood turner but also an accomplished carpenter, joiner, metal worker and videographer producing bespoke furniture. Respect 🌞
Oh, and your English is excellent too 🌞
Haha thanks! Be carefull with you're 3008 awesome car but did you know you should put anti cristalyser in the AD blue ? Mine just failed and it is a 1000 € repair...
@ I’m sorry to hear that. I exchanged my diesel 5008 for the plug in petrol hybrid 3 years ago so I could have different issues 🤔🌞
Thoroughly enjoyed this video. Love your craftsmanship, problem solving, and sense of humor. I learned a few things also! Happily subscribed.
