    Hey hi! Good Morning man.Thnk u so much for that awesome video. I can see many of my favorite places on Oxford like Star Kebab and Pizza Fast Food which is on the coner of Taylor Square, North Indian Cuisine, Zambrero, The Coffee Shop, Pure Discount Store and IGA Romeo Supermarket. Looking forward to seeing more of Sydney City, my favorite and the best City in the World. Thnx once again. May b if u can make a video in Gallery Victoria along with the Book Store kinokuniya that would be great. Have a wonderfu day.

    I enjoyed my jury duty service too.
    Gave me an excuse to dress up nice, instead of the usual gardening uniform. Felt pretty special too; going into the city everyday, to the Downing Centre, and at the end of the day, being let out at a secret exit at the back of the court.
    Downside was being stuck in a room with no windows for 3 weeks, eating mainly sandwiches for lunch, with 11 strangers.
    After 3 weeks the judge dismissed us all, because we were shown some evidence that we weren't supposed to see.
    Great video btw, HW.
    👍🇦🇺

      Yeh it’s a good experience more people should take. I was surprised to see what a critical role the prosecutor & defence play in the proceedings. They really can influence the decision regardless of the evidence. A skilled lawyer will almost always triumph.

    I resided in Sydney 15 years ago on Oxford St for three years. Frankly, from the look of it, Sydney has not changed much, in fact it looks even duller today. Compared to cities like Bangkok and Singapore, Sydney is like a placid, quiet village. It is good for people over 60s to retire and rest their life in peace and contemplation though.

    • @hwtours
      @hwtours  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Not sure I’d describe Sydney as dull myself. Also those two other cities you mention have you melting in the heat for most of the year.. Much easier to walk around Sydney. Thanks for watching. 🙏

      15 years ago Sydney definitely was more placid than today. And yes Oxford Street is a lot more chill than other parts of the city, but downtown Sydney is definitely not placid by any stretch of the imagination. In fact many parts of the city can rival downtown HK on its best day in terms of bustle.

      @@alvinkoh5556 been there multiple times Sydney is way more diverse and happening than over there. HK has 2 million people more than Sydney does, but in a much smaller urban footprint. Anyways depends on what you are into. Great asian food in HK, Sydney has best of both east and western food. You be the judge.

      @@marcozolo3536 I didn't say Sydney is not diverse , but it's energy is just sleepy as compared to HK, Bangkok or even Kuala Lumpur. Sorry, Sydney is not happening at all compared to NYC, Tokyo, Amsterdam, and many cities in Europe.

    Good one HW and your correct a little Aussie burger joint called BURGER KING was in existence when US BK entered the market. The trademark actually expired in 1991 but HJ’s had already established its brand so after legal challenges with Jack Cowin( look him up) and the parent company, Jack got his way. Well I think that’s how it played out. Certainly a colorful area Oxford St. Thanks for sharing 😊

    I lived in Sydney 1991 to 2001. I returned to New Zealand . I would never live there again , or visit it. It's looks worse than i remember it. All VIP lounges. I lived near Oxford Street, so i went out on the gay scene alot. Tha Midnight Shift has gone. The Colombian Hotel was a Westpac Bank. The drag shows were held at the Albury Hotel. The Oxford Hotel looks ridiculous , like a huge candy store. What a dump it has become.
