- Classical and Flamenco guitar virtuoso Adam Del Monte stopped by the Guitar Salon International showroom and recorded a lesson on flamenco tremolo for us. Here he's playing a 2006 Conde Hermnanos 'Esteso' (tinyurl.com/ch2eeot ).

"Anything done right is a good exercise." Very wise advice!
Man, you are flawless at this. I could just listen to the intro to this video all day. Such a useful video too. I've improved a lot, thank you!

oleee great video !
Thanks for the info, great musician an instructor.
awesome in every way
gorgeous lesson. you started in the zone and stayed there
My tremolo took 3 years to fix because I started practicing wrong and I got really good at doing it wrong, it wasn’t until I came across this video that I finally fixed it once and for all and now my tremolo is a lot more smoother and has really improved thanks to this lesson so to Mr Del Monte I say thank you!!
Have you practice tremolo like Adam recently? I mean the pattern "p pi ia am mi ip..."?
Vladimir Horowitz yes that exercise helps a lot and practicing on one string using the piami pattern with a metronome at 240bpm but be sure to begin slowly and eventually working up to the 240 bpm, I began playing it very rapidly without making sure each note was consistent and therefore took me a long time to fix but if practiced right it can be performed at correct pace and quality
Thanks mate! 240 bpm is a very fast tempo so I guess you meant 1 beat per each stroke rather than 1 beat per 5 strokes right?
Vladimir Horowitz yes lol 1 stroke per each beat!
I learned it in 3 days. This is why teachers are so important then people wonder why they can only play like 3 pieces after 10 years of playing
one of the best flamenco player
I really want to learn this!!!!
very good video. Thanks from India
very good video and teacher....i aspire to have a tremolo as good some day, practice practice practice

That's Adam's tremolo from the Minera on his new CD 'Asi Lo Siento Yo'.
Great Lesson thank you very much. The song that you are playing has a name or its just an improvisation in solea ?
Wellcome
hi,anybody has an idea about name of the piece played at the beginning of video ?
It is called "Sombras Del Paradiso - Minera" from his Album "Asi Lo Siento Yo".
@@narhem123 Where do I find sheet music for this?
dartme18 I have no idea. Sorry, I can’t help you with that.
beautiful.. why so many dislikes!?
Good lession
whats the chord progression
of the song ?
Amigo, could you please illustrate the finger pattern. You told us what it is but it went by in a flash just as your tremolo does.
Thank you
que buen maestro ñ.ñ
But why nobody uses the baby finger? like BAMI...
I am starting tremolo learning today, do you thing I should try BAMI?
the temolo part sounds so sweet! is that your own composition? or can you name the artist?
ps love your videos and all your instructions! always so much blood sweat and tears in it!
This flamenco tremolo is from his own minera composition
please give me the title of this minera, it's so beautiful!
It is called "Sombras Del Paradiso - Minera" from his Album "Asi Lo Siento Yo".
thank you so much man!
"anything done right is a great exercise." worrd.
adam's great. you can see right away he learned a lot from gerardo nunez!
im trying to do this on electric guitar and its not working lol. i guess i need a flamenco guitar
One question: is it important to play flamenco tremolo/tremolo 'apoyando' ?!
cCcs6 Hey, in my experience you should use a rest stroke (apoyando) with thumb for a more flamenco as opposed to classical sound. Would love to hear what Adam del Monte has to say on this though! Peace, Renny
1:11 THE condescending look
go somewhere and hide you moronic child - that you would think Adam is being condescending speaks volumes of your neurosis...
It's like he's doing a very slow waltz, but fast at the same time with the tremolo lol
Dayvid, Just kill time with lots of practice employing the advice given in the video - Del Monte achieved a very complete technique by lots of hard work over several years. I wish he had stressed the importance of rhythmic regularity in tremolo achieved by counting, e.g the standard pami played with a even count of 1-2-3-4 - avoiding the common fault of quasi-triplet rhythm by a-m-i following a too-long gap after the thumb pluck - (flamenco version played to regular count of 1-2-3-4-5),
Tabs
No no, es un amigo suyo, él está tocando un piano, venga Lisandro....
no esta tocando el la guitarra.
I cant really see what he is doing.
Dude looks high!
What an immature thing to say.
you play.. pp, i a, a m, m i ?
pi ia am mi ip
He's way too fast for an even decent guitarist to take on board.I get it but he could elaborate much more slowly
Sorry man. Nice tremolo though. :)
Its not a lesson for beginners. Its not a technique for beginners to even attempt.
Terrible.
Shut up, this is mastery
