  • Classical and Flamenco guitar virtuoso Adam Del Monte stopped by the Guitar Salon International showroom and recorded a lesson on arpeggio technique for us. Here he's playing a 1977 Antonio Raya Pardo flamenco guitar (www.guitarsalon.com/product/1... ).
    All proceeds from monetization of this video goes to the GSI Foundation, a non-profit organization that raises money to support music education in public schools. Visit our site for more information: bit.ly/2nIJMxR #gsi #friendsofgsi #classicalguitar

    I'm puzzled by the negative comments below. Adam is obviously skilled at Flamenco and a good teacher. Who cares where he is from and what his Flamenco lineage is. Sad to see so much hatred and anger from people directed towards a guy who is giving out free lessons that have value. I for one thank Adam for his contributions.

    adam you are a great flamenco guitar player, but also the most important thing, you are an amazing teacher and how you articulate every important point and technique so well. I can play, but can't teach even if it saved my life!
    best of luck and much success.

    Ada What Are the Right hand fingerings ???

  • @ldiddynyc
    @ldiddynyc 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    Great video ! I messed up my fingers from years of oxing and am hoping that I can get a decent arpeggio. I've resorted to apoyados. Good sound, Adam !

    • @ldiddynyc
      @ldiddynyc 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Started working on arpeggios slow. Doing physical therapy, and glucosamine. Fingers are more responsive. Much success & smiles in your career, Adam.

    Even though i am prodominantly using my Knuckle to power the arpeggio, i still find the i use the joint closest to my nails a little bit. It does my heaf in a bit because im not 100 percent sure if im doing it correctly

    is there tab for the intro maestro?

    • @aaronocelot
      @aaronocelot 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's a solea, the particulars can be improvised or elaborated in other ways as he does.

    • @aaronocelot
      @aaronocelot 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Excellent Solea, by the way, it's very well elaborated and quite beautiful. It's also a technical tour-de-force that is impressive.
      @pegcaila it's Fmaj, Cmaj, Dmin, E phrygian. The key is the voicings and not using ALL the notes of a complete chord at once, but focusing on particular diads and triads and the timing of the golpe etc. I'm still trying to figure it out. Maybe Adam will do a lesson on Soleares... he probably already did and I'm just unaware yet.

    there is only one thing, that god could give you in this case ( it's rather a genetic disposition that allows you to understand and adapt things faster than other): passion and the ability to sit 8 hours every day on your ass and work with 100% of your concentration. that's it. no magic behind it just work. my guitar teacher always said. talent is 95% hard work and 5% even harder work :)

    Pepe Habichuela trained Adam Del Monte. Do you think Pepe Habichuela is full of shit? Do you even know who Pepe Habichuela is? Adam Del Monte has a Spanish accent from living there for many years while training under a master gypsy guitarist.
    You simply do not know what you are talking about, nor who you are talking about.
