I disagree, the 20’s penalty is not being in the Final 4, and the 24 did nothing wrong, they didn’t tell the 1 and the 3 to make a blockade for him, it was the manufacturer themselves giving the orders
@@kylitothemidcreatorwhich is why the penalty only really does anything if it’s against the teams that the race manipulation was FOR. Chevy doesn’t care if the 1 or 3 doesn’t win this weekend. Toyota doesn’t care about the 23 this weekend. They care about the 24 and 20. This is a waste of time penalty
@@kylitothemidcreator The entire point of what the 1 and 3 did was to get the 24 in the playoffs, and the payout for doing so far surpasses the fines they will pay. There's no disincentive for anyone to do it again. It's like arresting the getaway driver for a robbery, but letting the robber go with the stash. That makes zero sense.

Sad part about 23’s penalty is they responded to the 1 and 3 blocking for 12 laps… it was a response… If 1 and 3 weren’t blocking the 23 situation would have never happened.
Not true. The 24 should not be racing for a championship. Denny Hamlin got a major penalty earlier this year for something Toyota did that was out of his control(breaking an engine seal). Byron should have been penalized for what Chevy did. This tells Chevy that for $400k in fines and a couple guys sitting on a bench they can cheat all they want and mke the final 4.
@@donaldwalston431 I don't think so. Larson didn't do good enough to make it on his own when it counted. Besides, promoting him still gives Hendrick a car in the final 4. As far as I'm concerned, there's only 3 legitimate contenders this year.
I'm glad that Nascar handed down penalties, pretty much like I was hoping. I really think 🤔 their are more players involved, but at the very least they got the 3 drivers that actually manipulate the race. I still feel their should only be 3 drivers in playoffs, for the Championship and feel Rick Hendricks had to be part of the shenanigans.🤔
Because they would have been punished by the teams and manufacturers if they didn't comply, and NASCAR knows that. It's not the driver's faults they basically had a gun to their back, they just want to keep their seats and stay racing, and NASCAR understands that, so they're not going to punish the drivers for something that's basically out of their control.
Exactly. The 24, 3, and 1 should be put back where the 20 was put. Those 3 severely manupulated the outcome of the race. A violation of a rule more serious then the "wall ride" rule. @NASCAR has become a pick as they want JOKE of an organization. Take your business to @NHRA people, @NASCAR has become a wwe fixed entertainment, NO longer a sport!
I think the difference is Daytona and Talladega they are working together for a preferable finish for all involved. Running a two wide blockade behind a slow car at Martinsville is way different.
I believe that Martin Truex was forced to throw two postseasons in a row to try to help Denny Hamlin win a championship, which he’ll never do because he doesn’t have ‘IT’ and never will.
In my opinion no one should have received any kind of penalty like that especially if NASCAR dose a playoff format like they do and has teammates. What do you expect? A teammate will help a teammate.
So why couldn't the 6 use the bumper? Bump and runs had been happening all race. If they are truely sandbagging ang you're faster, dont run them over, but make a move. Thats just my thoughts.
Penalty to light. The drivers got off pretty much Scott free….. 50 drivers points for someone already mid pack… oooh, that hurts! Even though the scheme may have been planned by the execs, the drivers were the ones actually executing it. Have them sit out a race also.
@ hey Bud, grew up in the sport. Worked at NASCAR tracks since I was 15 years old. So 50 plus years watching stock cars. Drivers are not what they use to be is all I’m saying.
If manipulation was found , why wasn't larson added to the final 4 since he was the one that it took points from and he would have advanced if it didn't happen ?
I am a big Larson fan, and would love to see him in the final. But, we get what we get. If it is outside my control, why complain? It serves no purpose.
i got the solution, no Phoenix Race for the Final Four, Let's take them to another track , Have a fast four race. Just them, only four, no outside race teams, no one else to change the result of the race, just straight up racing, see who really is the best. And beside, I thought that these guys are the best of the best, best drivers, best teams, best equipment. If they really are the best, then prove it on another race, other then Phoenix, you might say, where could these guys go to prove they are worthy of being called Champion. How about Daytona.
Penalize Wallace for Chevy drivers cheating everyone was faster than Byron at end that race and bell got clipped by Wallace if u watch a replay and was stuck in the wall only way go around turn is to drive
Austin Dillon's spotter has had two separate vacations this season.
That's not good.
To his credit one of those was really really funny
Chad would have given him a raise!
The elephant in the room is sports betting.
Oh, dam you are sooooooo right! If any of those drivers or anyone in the organization are connected to sports betting, shit will hit the fan.
It’s ruining everything, not just racing!
How long has NASCAR been involved in sports betting?
Agree
@ since it was legalized. Visit Dover next year, they got a sports book right off the north west parking lot.

You vote with your dollars and your eyeballs. I'm genuinely losing interest.
This was point less with out punishing the 24 and the 20. If I'm a manufacturer I'd gladly pay the fines to get one of my cars in the final 4.

The only just penalty would have been to also kick Byron from the Championship fight. Should just be 3 cars this year; #45, #22, and #12.
Still have 4. Move the next car that did it right into the championship.

I agree, properly deter this nonsense in the future
I love these videos they are so useful and informative ❤❤😊😊
The 23 had to help the 20 because of what the chevys were doing.
I agree with NASCAR, a person’s integrity shows who they are. This race showed me who didn’t show any!
Thanks to nascar teams have to do these things now

NASCAR’s legal bills are pilling up. This should help.
wait! so your telling me Daytona and Talladega teams don't work together?
That's teams, not different teams of the same manufacturer.

I'm sure all those that bet on the race were happy too. Match fixing in any sport has got to be punished
ES executes his 'plan' on suspensions, fines, etc. Good for him and Nascar.
Conner Zilisch Austin Hill and Corey Heim should drive the #1 #3 and #23 on Sunday
Its just the chief crew cheif and spotter

20 and 24 should be added. They knew what was happening.
NA$CAR should suspend itself for the hokey gimmicky playoff format that creates all this nonsense.

Because a ford was leading. If Brad hit them and they wrecked that could bring out a caution and ruin 12's race.
Serves them right
Brent griffon should be bubbas spotter this week 😂
I've lived long enough to see a time when Keselowski didn't ship someone to advance position. lol
The first Chevy to pass the 24 probably would of had thier funding cut significantly from gm

If you did gone to the races you would know what and what is manufactured. But too bad since I live in Europe.
Not a harsh enough penalty for ruining betting for people 😂
What about, elbow itch? same as blocking.😮
Example number 1 of why there is a decline of the sport. Drivers don’t race anymore.
