Blaney winning the championship has a personal significance for me. I was diagnosed with cancer earlier this year and was in the hospital after complications with cancer treating steroids. I felt very nervous and uncertain about everything but one thing that kept my mind off things was watching this year’s Coke 600. Watching Ryan win was a symbol of me winning my battle with cancer. As of writing this, I have my last treatment this week. Seeing Ryan win the championship shows that both me and him are victorious in our journeys this year. Congratulations Ryan on your championship!
Say what you will about his temperament in that race, Blaney was massively impressive today. Great driving, staying in the lead pack even when the car wasn’t working for him, fighting tooth and nail for the lead, impressive moves, and most of all some old-fashioned passion and fire. His drive and attitude today made me think of some of the old timers; he refused to give an inch to anybody and fought with genuine intensity. In my opinion, a true NASCAR champion’s performance in the purest sense of the term. Brilliant job #12 and team.
Thanks for uploading this before any result spoiling video and also using an ambiguous thumbnail. Motorsports on NBC really stepped up their game this year with their TH-cam channel. I hope to keep watching you next season!
We need a season long points format, the champion should be the driver with the most complete season, the problem with the old winston cup format is they awarded too many points, just keep the regular season format for entire season, no more than 40 points for a win and 1 point between each position so every point counts and means more
Was really hoping to see that 24 car get a championship this year. Byron definitely has a bright future ahead of him in his racing career. Hendrick on top next year 🤟
It's been such a long time since I seen a driver not have to win to clinch the championship so relieved feeling congrats to the race winner and the champ
THIS IS SO AWESOME.ALL THE SUFFERING FOR ME AS A FORD FAN CAN END! Thank you NBC for an amazing 2nd half of Brodcasting. Thank you for providing us a great Championship Brodcast!
Way to get it done Ryan. I didn't see Ross do anything wrong between him and Blaney. Lot of you felt he was blocking for Larson. Not sure I'd buy that. Just Ross not lifting for anyone. Congratulations Ryan! 🎉🎉🎉🏆🏆🏆
Was rooting for Byron and I'm a little upset he didn't win, but man was that a race. We had an evenly matched Championship 3 (and even 4 while Bell was still in it), plenty of side-by-side action, a fantastic final race for Kevin Harvick, and Carson Hocevar finishing in the top 20 in the final race of the year. Even with this playoff format (which badly needs to be changed or ideally removed completely) this was probably the best season finale I've seen in my time as a NASCAR fan (2012-17; 2020-present).
Missed the race cuz I’ve been on a hunting trip. Congrats to Blaney tho. One of the most underrated playoff drivers coming into the playoffs and he wins it all
Had no horse in the race and congrats to number 12 as he tried his heart out too do both but have to feel sorry for Chastain who also drove his butt off and don't believe he was even interviewed. Perhaps in the future they might have both cars staged at the finish line so both can congratulate one another then go on their way.
As a Chastain fan i am ok with Blaney getting most of the attention. But they should have interviewed Chastain sooner as he did win the event for that day. The championship shouldn't come down to 1 race anyways. The playoffs should be all 10 races, whoever ends up with the most points after all 10 playoff races. Or just do away with the playoffs.
I came here to make a sincere question, I've wanted to understand this for a long time now, do NASCAR drivers use brakes in oval circuits? And what actually makes the difference as to whether one driver is faster than the other? Cause in my head they are all just racing in circles full throttle all the time
Yes they absolutely use brakes and shift here at Phoenix. The only ovals they are basically full throttle at all times are Atlanta, Talladega and Daytona. And what makes one faster then the other can be many different reasons. Tire setup, the actual racing line they are running and just how well the driver can race. Their braking, shifting and throttle control all matter.
Could the Championship 4 be the last 4 in the race on the track and one of them still win the championship or does iit have to be up near the top of the race? In other words does it matter where they finish just who finished first of the 4.... (UK Here...)
@MrHand-ih4sz and not to mention one of the largest penalties and point deductions due to being caught cheating after he and his team manipulated the car earlier this season
You're a little sister doesn't have to cry! Ross Chastain dominated the race with a Chevrolet . NBC and NASCAR didn't even acknowledge his dominating winn!
Lot of drivers at the end around Blany' s car . That was nice to see..Cameraman did a great job. They should have eight drivers to race for the championship. In case four drivers can't finish. Good to see Blany win the championship and Ross snag a win. Lot a great drivers out there.
Points system needs to be fixed , points needs to be in the final race like they are in the playoffs , the real champion doesn’t get crowned just like the real race winner isn’t crowned , get rid of stage racing and qualifying as well !! Nascar screwed the 24 out of another title !!
This track should not hold the championship race. Boring racing. I also don’t like how the 4 championship contenders don’t get raced like they would get every other weekend. I get they are racing for a championship but the other drivers should be racing as if it were the 2nd or 3rd race of the year. Glad this year is over. Looking forward to next season.
Blaney may have won the championship but Ross sure made him look like the Jeter...congratulations to ROSS CHASTAIN, great win ! I don't know how you deal with all those cry Babies.😢
Hearing Harvick’s kids wishing him good luck was so wholesome.🥲
So cute
Loved it! How beautiful.
Harvick has great children great nascar driver 👏 👍

I dont want to see Byron win a championship. But it is more his LU sponsorship i have issues with.
The car that got cheating? The team that had one of the largest point deductions for a penalty for manipulation of their car?
@@Foxfire_forty-nineand that’s why it’s a good team you won’t win if you don’t bend the rules a little
Championship aside, this was an amazing race. The 3 way battle for the lead with Ross, Blaney and Truex was so fun to watch
Ford sweeps championship weekend!

Chastain wins, Blaney lifts the Cup, and Hamlin poops his race suit. Overall a pretty good day.
Dale Junior called it the other week
Blaney got it. No thanks to his pit crew though. Lost 4 spots on the last pit stop. Horrible

When was the last time a brand has won all three manufacturers titles and a different brand wins all the drivers titles?
Ford swept all 3 divisions any questions

A perfect year for Ford, 3 for 3
They struggled in the first half of the season, but they bounced back in the second half and Blaney is the champion, I'm so happy right now

Yes, the one who finishes ahead of the other 3 takes the cup. No matter if he is 36th...if the others finish behind him, he wins the championship.
man i whish harvick won but i am glad thay ross chastain won
How bout Ford for all 3 series champions 😂
I was happy that a Hendrick car didn't win. Congrats to Ryan on the Playoffs Championship win.
