See how the coffin is arranged showing only a half of her face. It is usually done for corpses with head injuries, so maybe she shot herself? The music video is full with happy and romantic vibes except for the last couple of minutes. But if you watch carefully, there are many signs that this is not going to be a happy ending. Jesus's bleeding eyes, bride's expressionless face, and the lyrics...who sings 'nothing lasts forever, and we both know hearts can change' during such a beautiful wedding? 😅 And the uncertainty of life! This song is very deep and covers so many emotions of our lives as we grow older. This song almost mirrors my experience in love and marriage too. I was married to the love of my life and I thought my forever soulmate on a bright and sunny November day that was the beginning of the best ten years of my life. But like this song tells us , “ Nothing last forever, even cold November Rain” ….. thus as her love for me died and our marriage was then over on a Cold and Rainy November day just three days past our ten year marriage anniversary I walked out of the courthouse after our divorce was final into a heavy and cold November Rain that was washing my tears away as I got into my car not knowing where my life was going forward now alone ? Thus to me in this video , the song is about how we fall in love and everything is great and the love is real and meaningful to both people as they live a sunny and happy life together…. Thus the video showing the bright sunny day of their wedding is a metaphor for those new love happiness….. but when the love starts to end and for one of them the love dies and they want a divorce, it just proves that indeed , “ nothing last forever, even a cold November Rain “ …. Which the darkening skies during the reception and then heavy rain falls on them , it’s the video metaphor for the love ending and then her dying and the funeral is the metaphor for the final death of the love and the divorce. The funeral is the grieving process and his nightmares are what you live with as you try to get over the hurt and pain of losing your spouse forever! A divorce is like a death … the lost love you once shared with someone special to you is now gone from your life forever ☠️😢 Sadly over half of marriages will end in divorce and the person who didn’t want it to end , will always have to go through the emotions of this great song until hopefully a new love finds them again 🤷🏻♂️

They never make long songs like this anymore its too bad. This brings back so many memories, I saw them in concert twice back in the day. The 1st time was amazing the second time was waiting around over an hour for them to show up, and they were so messed up on drugs it was s good thing Metallica was the other group performing and saved it. They really were the typical rock n roll story, got famous then and party, drugs, girls, and crash and burn. Appetite for Destruction was a great album. I recommend Sweet Child O'Mine

Guns n Roses has a special place in my heart; I never really listened to them (born in 84) until i got their first album somehow in a stack of CDs I had at my parents house right after highschool. That summer I was working during the day and restoring a motorcycle in my parents basement every night until the sun came up. I had a cheap 3 disc cd player that the tray jammed on and their album was one of the three. Cranked it as I cracked a beer and started welding and from the opening riff of Welcome to the Jungle, I knew it was going to be amazing. Every. Single. Track. Slapped. Listened to that album several times a night every night all summer and never got tired of it. I'm really glad that's the CD that was in the jammed tray. You know how sometimes there's an album that just takes you back to a summer or a place the moment you hear that opening note? I wish I could rediscover that album for the first time again. It's in my top ten for albums that have no skip tracks.

Side note, I was fortunate enough to see GnR before they were super popular in the summer of 88. I watched a show called Breaking the Band, and it explained that Axl was diagnosed later in life as bi-polar. It was really interesting considering all the drama that has always surrounded GnR, which always seemed to come from Axl. (Not showing up to practices and concerts, constantly fighting with members, etc) He was a genius with writing music. It is sad to think what they could have done musically had they been more aware of mental health back then. Welcome to the Jungle is another fav of mine. Here in Texas you can have a smoking section, but it has to be cut off from the rest of the establishment. Its not as extreme as it sounds, mostly Ive seen instead of a open doorway its a clear door. I've always thought the wife committed suicide by shooting herself through the head, with the bullet exiting the left side causing damage that the mortician had to put a mirror to reflect the better half of her head. But then I've never read the short this was based on.
She and slash were in love but he never asked her to marry him and axls character did. She regretted it. The first solo is sorrowful because he has lost his love to another. She ends up regretting her decision and commits suicide and at the end it is a culmintion of their combined sorrow.

I've always thought the wife committed suicide by shooting herself through the head, with the bullet exiting the left side causing damage that the mortician had to put a mirror to reflect the better half of her head. But then I've never read the short this was based on.
