Hey Family! Here is my Rock & Roll | Bands reaction playlist; check it out and let me know what to react to next th-cam.com/play/PLqA_v6ZbevQguCR2z0Pc2DwzmS9c1smxl.html
You need to check out Motley Crue another great 80s rock band.
Want "The message" from the song? Axl Rose got off the bus from the Midwest in the 80s in the city (The Jungle!) Crack cocaine, heroin, gangs, police brutality! Telling you from a man who grew up in the city, in the 80s! Want to get involved and play in the Jungle in the 80s??? It won't be for free, watch it make you bleed, feel my Serpentine, watch it bring you to your Sha na na na na na na na Knees!
That guitarist that can't hardly see his face.... that is SLASH. He is a living legend. Highly respected musician.
I remember watching this video for the first time in 1988 screaming “Ma! I want a guitar for Christmas!!”
He did a song with michael , Give in to me❤
Started with Axl getting off the bus from the midwest...the jungle is the city...and the same guy, at the end, now with big hair, stops to look at the same tv as he did when he first arrived. The effects of "the jungle"
It happened in NYC but refers to LA.
Guitar players name is Slash. He did the guitar with Michael Jackson song "Give Into Me".
Also Black and White. And Beat it live version.
I always felt that GnR was a product of the 80's. A decade of complete chaos devoid of constant surveillance and left alone with our own depravity to do whatever we wanted to do. Even through that mess, we came out alive and survived.
The hard rock sound of the 80’s may return one day.
Indeed. My biggest worry was my highly flammable big hair, and walmart running out of Aqua Net hairspray lol.
@@GrapeApe2018 I rode a motorcycle and my biggest worry was helmet hair, not crashing.
We had so much fun, though.
GnR was the beggining of the end for really decent music in the 80's. Great band, but Axel sucked as a "singer."
I was born January of 1970. So I was a teenager in the 80s the best time to be in the 80s by the way. Guns N’ Roses was everything.!
I genuinely envy you for that
1974 here. You’re exactly right
Slash (lead guitar... real name Saul Hudson) of Guns N' Roses is a stellar guitarist; he did actually work w/ Michael Jackson (not 'Dirty Diana'... that was Steve Stevens of Billy Idol's band) Slash played the guitar intro to 'Black or white'... and the guitar on the single 'Give in to me'... from MJ's 'Dangerous' album in 1991... Slash has also performed w/ MJ.
'Welcome to the jungle' was written about Los Angeles in the 80's... GNR singer Axl Rose left Indiana to join a rock band on the West Coast and came to L.A. and it was a shock for this country boy to see the big city w/ hustlers, pimps, dealers and hookers all over the streets.
No he did dirty Diana at a one of MJs tour.
@@JaquelineGoodspeed Whar r u talking about? Slash + M.J.?
Look up the performances... 👉
@@sumonjamal1653
Yes. Research it yourself. MJ wanted the best, he chose Slash. Look it up.
@@JaquelineGoodspeed Steve Stevens (guitar) did the solo for 'Dirty Diana' on the record.
Slash played the intro to 'Black or white'... and 'Give in to me'...
He performed w/ M.J. multiple times.
Do the research.
Yes he did but also dirty Diana.
80’s were a BLAST... 90’s good too. Gen X and we were wild and quiet at the same time. Dangerous combo. Slash was fire!
You're funny bro. He says, "it'll take you to your, shnnnnn, knees, knees". That was a great reaction.
The jungle is l Los Angeles and what it does to young bright eyed kids coming there searching for their dreams. The band was on heroin Axel
Gap the idea from this song from his first week in Los Angeles. He was sleeping on a couch and an alley. If I remember correctly and some guy yelled out. Welcome to the jungle.
At him
That was a hilarious reaction. :D "gonna bring you to your shanannanananana-knees, knees!" My favorite song from them.
💘Guns N' Roses!!! Welcome to the Jungle is my favorite of their songs!!!
Coma in my opinion. Is mine. Welcome to the jungle is great but I didn't like Axl's look in it.
The Jungle specifically in this song is Los Angeles…but it also represents any large city.
Guns & 🌹 is my husbands favorite band. He said crank it all the way up.
I was 13 when this song came out. Just instantly blown away this whole album shaped my adolescence
"HE WANTS YOU TO FEEL HIS SERPENTINE " Think about it!
Really enjoyed your reaction 😂😅
And YES Slash ( the 🎸 player) played on stage with Michael Jackson for the 30th Anniversary.
FYI - Slash is a British/American! He was born July 23, 1965 in Stone-on-Trent, United Kingdom. 🇬🇧 Axl Rose was visiting a friend near Seattle. While there, he started writing lyrics that told a story of the life in the Hollywood streets .. describes the life in Hollywood as a fight for survival. 💪 🦍🐅🦏🐆🐘 “You’re in the jungle, baby” .. So good!
I believe he was born in Hampstead London but raised in Stoke on Trent
@@robertphelps1574 Gotcha .. Thanks!
He's saying "Watch it bring you to your knees"
They play this song at the beginning of every Bengals home game, they call the stadium the jungle
The story behind the song is that when Axel Rose, the front man and lead vocalist, got off the bus from Indiana to Hollywood that he was told by an older black man, 'Welcome to the Jungle, your gonna die" so the Jungle can refer to a city like LA or NYC
I was always intrigued by Slash and his guitar playing. I was also amazed he never caught his hair on fire with his cigarettes and all the hair product they used. 5:19 Axl says he was inspired getting off a bus in New York some homeless guy trying to scare runaways said to them "You know where you are? You're in the jungle baby; you're gonna die!” Guitarist Izzy Stradlin said it was about Hollywood streets true to life. Slash came up with a riff for this song and they made the song from it. Axl Rose used to live in Slash’s mom’s basement.
"Welcome to the jungle" The theme song for each person when they graduate from high school/college.
"The disease" was more referring to drugs, vices, etc. And the guitar player is slash, one of the most legendary of all time. Also in the 80's. Large cities were often referred to as "the concrete jungle" indicating a certain survival of the fittest mentality. So basically this is the story of a country boy coming into the big city and it's like "welcome to the jungle, a vice of sex, drugs, broken dreams, and rock&roll".
Yes, the guitarist is Slash who often collaborated with Michael Jackson. Such amazing artistry. Axl Rose is a genius too, what an electrifying performance.
I'm an 80's kid and I had Guns 'n Roses , along with many other 80's rock bands all over my bedroom walls.
I watched an interview with Axel Rose, the reason his hair looks like that is because when they were shooting the video, at one point he woke up and they decided to spray his hair with hair spray and have it that way for the video
10% violin
20%cars
40% axl dream
80% dance moves
100%Rock
999% Hair
He is saying KNEES.... The Jungle will bring you to your KNEES.
Omg you had me rolling with your expressions (with your air guitar).
I was 11 yrs old when I bought this cd .. still love them to this day
Simply magnificent.
This was the only cassette tape I took to bootcamp with me in 1988 7:02
You a True American Hero !
Wore my cassette tape out that same year, lol.
On guitar with the top hat is the legendary Slash .
This video and GNR almost never made it. M TV refused to play this video. However one producer gave it one shot and played it once at like 2 in the morning. The video became the most requested video on M TV. Everyone loved it. Another fun bit of history, when the US invaded Panama, the US soldiers took over the national radio station and put this song on replay and just let it go.. lol
Beginning of video axel gets off bus country bumpkin arrives to city and takes in the jungle
I always noticed that when he gets off the bus he looks innocent doesn’t know what L.A. will do
The story behind this song is well known. When Axl arrived in LA he disembarked from the bus in a volatile neighborhood. A black man looked at him and said, "You know wheere you are? You're in the jungle, Baby. You're gonna die!" And a classic was born...
OMG. Your reaction is the absolute best. I can’t stop laughing. This was my band, I was about 11 when I got the album and couldn’t understand why my Dad didn’t want me to listen to it. Now I have kids and I understand.
Fabulous reaction. I've watched it a few times because you bring a mile to my face. Thanks
this song was actually bannedf rom being played until it was snuck into MTV for a Early Morning few. MTV didn't think anyone was going to watch it but the next day all the radios station were bombarded with request of the song and had no Choice but to play it. After that MTV made it a regular spot and the rest as we know Is history.
These guys are multi talented
Yes slash was on stage with Michael Jackson song Dirty Diana. Guns N Rose's is my favorite band
Slash was my first crush, before I was even old enough to have crushes! And before I ever saw his face 😂😂 he’s still one of the most badass guitar players ever!!
Slash is awesome. He still sounds and looks like he did in the 80’s.
The swirl 😅
The song of the Cincinnati Bengals! Who Dey! 🧡🖤🏈
This song is the opening song for the movie Lean on me.
GnR are from late 80s. Instant success.
Lyrics:
Welcome to the jungle
We got fun and games
We got everything you want
Honey, we know the names
We are the people that can find
Whatever you may need
If you got the money, honey
We got your disease
In the jungle, welcome to the jungle
Watch it bring you to your knees, knees
Ooh-ah, I wanna watch you bleed
Welcome to the jungle
We take it day by day
If you want it, you're gonna bleed
But that's the price you pay
You're a very sexy girl
Who's very hard to please
You can taste the bright lights
But you won't get them for free
In the jungle, welcome to the jungle
Feel my, my, my, my serpentine
I, I wanna hear you scream
Welcome to the jungle
It's worse here everyday
You learn to live like an animal
In the jungle where we play
You got a hunger for what you see
You'll take it eventually
You can have anything you want
But you better not take it from me
In the jungle, welcome to the jungle
Watch it bring you to your knees, knees
Ooh-ah, I'm gonna watch you bleed
And when you're high, you never
Ever want to come down
So down, so down, so down, yeah
Aw
You know where you are?
You're in the jungle, baby
You're gonna die
In the jungle, welcome to the jungle
Watch it bring you to your knees, knees
In the jungle, welcome to the jungle
Feel my, my, my, my serpentine
In the jungle, welcome to the jungle
Watch it bring you to your knees, knees
In the jungle, welcome to the jungle
Watch it bring to your...
It's gonna bring you down, huh
WOW!!! 👍👍
That's slash and that's his look
Welcome to the 80's Hairbands, or Hair Meld as we called it. Good Guns n Rose's song is Oh Sweet Child of mine , Patince or November Rain.
This is a reaction I needed today! When someone realizes the lyrics to this song it does give them a shock. Parts of it get used all the time. I head this comment a while back. If someone got into a time machine and traveled to every decade of the 20th century, the 80s would be the most shocking to them. Still would love to see Sympathy for the Devil or We Didn't Start the Fire.
Oh yes the 80's were glorious. But the music is definitely a culture shock to those who don't know it. I will never forget the look on my cousins face when she heard Dude Looks Like A Lady coming from my computer speakers. 😹
Sympathy for the devil by the Stones was 1968.
I was thinking of songs AB hasn't done. If we were going strictly 80s I would like to see Jovi Runaway or Pat Benatar Hell is for Children
The jungle as I interpret it in the song is everything that a mid-western boy, young, and naive encountered in the big city and the rock scene and how it transformed his mindset, his look, his attitude and sucked the life out of him and he lost everything about who he is and did not know who he is anymore... it killed who he was, brought him down, and he got lost in the mess of everything all around him. He gets off the bus in the city and looks like a young hick... as the video goes that hick is transforming as he sees everything on tv and all around him, and by the end he is transformed.
Slash played on Black Cat with Janet Jackson. That might be the video you're remembering.
Guitar players name is slash, and hes in everything from commercials to movies and everything in between! 🤣
I was born July 6th 1971 and the best times I ever had was the 80s I should have had a little bit of watching from my parents I ain't going to cap I was a hellion
That guitarist is Slash and he has played for MJ
The song is about trying to make it in LA when you first move there!
Nobody better than Axl Rose!!
AB I needed this reaction!!! Thank u cause u had me dying at ur shocked face and comments...Being a teenager in the 80s was awesome and so was our music!!!
At that time the most dangerous band in the world. Appetite for destruction is one of those rock albums that will stand the test of time as it has done since 1987. Every song a banger not to many albums like it.
Your expressions are priceless lol
That’s Slash- amazing guitarist
Love GnR awesome group! Love this song!!🔥🔥
Thanks AB!!
Great reaction 👏👏👏👏 to a fantastic song 😎☮️
I was in high school when this album came out and here we are like 35 years later and I can still remember exactly where I was when I heard this song for the first time. This band could have been one of the greatest rock bands of all time but Axl Rose, the lead singer, was such a prick he drove away every one of these guys. Appetite is such an amazing album from beginning to end. After that there were a couple of albums that only managed a few songs that were any good. Its sad to think about what could have been.
Steve Stevens played guitar on Dirty Diana, he was the lead guitarist for Billy Idol.
Your reaction is priceless 😂😂😂
We had a great time in the 80s.
About coming to LA.
The guitar players name is Slash
one of the first bands I ever fell in love with!! Let's ROCK!
Love this reaction! You are hilarious! 😂😅😂
lead guitarist is Slash and Duff McKagen
You might like to know too that Slash’s mother was black/british. He was one of the only black artist in heavy metal at the time.
The one with the hat and guitar is “SLASH” the greatest guitarist in the world
Bengals anthem Who Dey! 🐅 🔥
The Jungle is life in general. The saying is he got off the bus in LA and a homeless man told him "Welcome to the jungle" and was referring to the fact that you have to give things to get things. Dog eat dog environment. Example: woman have to give out sex if they want to move up in a job.
Mr. Brownstone and Rocket Queen!!!
1987; I was 20 years old. So much fun.
Try their songs "Patience", their version of "Knockin' On Heaven's Door" and "Don't Cry".
This song was blasting as I was in a trans am with a drunk guy I just met that decided to run a red light we were stopped at and he slammed into a cop car, t bone, trying to get on the highway...there was a cop car behind that cop car and a cop car behind us when the dummy did that...I found myself dangling over a Dallas overpass being rescued and the song just kept playing.... #funtimes #genx #survived #buddidyoudie lmao the cops were ok, everybody lived, never saw that jerk again...
I was born in ‘84, so I grew up with this. I love it when people discover the music.
lol this was fun!!❤
It is South-Central L.A. Known as the jungle.
axel rose is fire few can do what he does with his voice
Yes it was Slash in Dirty Diana
"Knocking on Heaven's Door" is my goto GnR song. Mel Gibson in Lethal Weapon, the hair back then OMG, my boyfriend got up and curled his hair everyday to rock Mel's style in the movie. LOL he used as much hair spray as I did.
...another classic band, Axle Rose his style, dress, hair outrageous performers...Peace👍☝️😌
That sound is axel rose singing na na na knees
His name isn't Randy, but their music still is Savage. try Ozzy Osbourne, Mama i'm comin home. Def Leppard, Rocket
Yes that's slash and yes he did play guitar on dirty diana
New GNR fans watch "Live at the Ritz". Guns N Roses was at their peak 1986-1989
That's Slash! 😅😅
I am a big fan of GnR and their music. The videos they make are really well put together and fun to watch. In my opinion if you want to see a video that is a classic example of the 80’s watch the video of the Scorpions doing “Big City Nights”. You will be stunned and left yearning for the old days.
The guitarist is Slash. 😁
I love GnR, and Axel was my teenage crush. This is a great song, a crazy video.
Knees…knees
The "guy in the top hat" has his own band... Slash with Miles Kennedy and the conspirators. Their version of Sweet child of mine blues the original out of the water in my opinion. You should check them out. All of their music is fire!!
Axl looks very different in every other video... this video was filmed when he was still in his crazy teased hair phase, but that went away before the band really broke out with their 2nd single "Sweet Child O' Mine". Jungle was released 3 times as a single before it finally charted, after the success of Sweet Child.
