Right there with ya in the club but folks always suggesting the Oakland performance when the cameras spend so much time on the audience. The Knebworth video from 76 focuses on the band themselves so much more, and they dont cut that final crescendo of the solo quite as quickly.

The part of Jacksonville the Westside when they were growing up they called it Shanty Town but when I was growing it was known as the bottom

Definitely check out the live version. I'd recommend either the concerts they did at Knebworth 1976, or Oakland in 1977. Both were absolutely amazing, but personally I prefer Knebworth. They went so hard that even the Rolling Stones had trouble following them that night. And the concert had massive attendance because there was a rumor it was going to be the Stones last concert ever. I graduated in 1979 so as you can imagine, this song was one of my top anthems. I also loved when they played this song at a church dance. It starts off slow, then you usually would switch to fast dancing when the tempo picked up, but if things are really good with the girl you just hang onto each other and sway through the whole thing. BTW, read up about their plane crash in Oct 1977 when they were at their peak.
When you sat back down, I said get back up now! And you kicked that chair outta the way...coz you had to move! Check out the movie "Kingsmen" to see the best use of this song in a movie.

There are some songs I'd say it is worth listening to live first, but as a general rule of thumb album is the way to go, even music video can be skewed. Also watch for radio versions of some of the classic rock songs that come up such as "Heard it through the grapevine" by Creedence Clearwater Revival its an 11 minute song, or "In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida" by Iron Butterfly is 17 minutes both are absolutely killer songs!!
