Shelly - THANK YOU!! Your tutorial is amazing! I was going to pay to have a blanket made for my daughter of her college t-shirts as I am not an experienced seamstress. But in doing some research I came across your video and decided to try it myself. I have now made 3 blankets and they are perfect. Your attention to detail was so helpful and allowed the creation to flow smoothly. I appreciate you more than you know. I love these blankets! Thank you!

I've been putting off making my daughter a blanket for so many years because I'm afraid that I am going to ruin her beloved childhood shirts. However, after watching this I feel much more confident about jumping right in and doing it, so thank you very much for your easy to follow tutorial.
I'm sure that I'm going to watch this a least 2 more times before I cut the material, and then maybe 3 more times before I begin sewing 🤣.
You're a great teacher and I appreciate your patience for a visual learner like myself.

Shelly, thank you for you detailed video on sewing a T-shirt blanket. I had never quoted anything before, so I was looking for a very easy " beginner" quilt. I had saved t-shirts for about 25 years from my 3 kids. I finally decided to attempt the feat of making their blankets. It was so easy following your video. I easily made all three quilts and then made another one for my niece using some pictures for her memory quilt. Now I have had two friends want me to make one for them.
I couldn't have done this without you help. Thank you so much.

Thank you for this easy to follow, step by step tutorial! I followed all of your instructions and suggestions and made my first t-shirt quilt as a gift for my daughter's BFF who was graduating from high school - 56 12in panels of sports, schools, camps, and vacations! I was not intimidated to try it because of your excellent tutorial, and it turned out beautifully! Thank you!

Thank you so very much. I have seen for 46 years but never have seen on T-shirts. I have been asked to sew 3 t-shirt quilts using shirts from their father who has passed. When I tried my first stitch the stitch width was all over the place. I pulled up this video and one about how to use the serge stitch on t-shirts and they were a godsend. I didn’t even know their was special needles for knots. Now I’m all set and looking forward to making them.

I have one question regarding your opinion about fusible interfacing on the back of each square. Why do you not use any like some other quilters? Does it change the “comfort” of the finished blanket? Thank you!

Thanks for sharing. I’m sure there are many different ways of doing this. I was taught to iron on fusaeabke interfaving to each of the squares, then sew rows together, and glue onto fleece backing using Elmer’s fabric glue spray. Finished quilt by sewing binding around edge. Not sure which method would be easier for me since I’m a beginner. Just now working on my second one.
