40:34 just when i thought i finally got away from theatre information for the summer, they hit me with lighting again. i will never escape it. but also fun facts for y'al if you want to know something about lighting: parcans are the original "rock lights" because they were created for rock concerts and they're used so often in rock concerts (as opposed to theatrical productions). keith is technically correct when he says they're the lights that they use for airplane headlights, but those are the PAR lamps, not the parcan itself (as the parcan is quite literally a PAR lamp inserted into a can-like metal structure), and they're used for more than just that. parcans are also commonly called "pars", and if you're not familiar with lights it's easy to get parcans and parnels confused when listening to the name (parnels are a mixture of parcans and fresnels -- essentially it's just a parcan with a fresnel lens, which softens out the edges. these can also adjust from a spotlight to general wash, unlike the parcans). parcans are generally used for a strong down or back light. fun facts for you guys ! i just like being able to explain things to people lmao

The Try Guys will always have a special place in my heart. Over Covid my mum and I had to start working from home and on our lunch breaks we'd spend them together and I introduced her to the Try Guys. It was a bold move as my mum is pretty conservative but she grew to really love them all. Because of that time we spent together and the individual personalities of the 4 guys, we've been able to have new conversations about my chronic condition because of Zach's openness, about LGBTQ+ and anti-rascism topics because of Eugene, we've been sillier together because of Keith, and we say "I love you" to each other more now than ever because of Ned. In November my mum lost her job and I became one of the only constants in her life, and our lunchbreaks watching the Try Guys remain a daily activity. She tells me now that that time we spent together was the main thing that stopped her sinking into depression. I doubt any of the guys will ever read this comment, but I wanted to say "thank you" to them all for helping me have a reason to look back on the past year with joy. It hasn't all been doom and gloom 🌈❤
Keith’s struggle happened to me too! My school choir is performing at Radio City Music Hall in the winter for the Christmas Spectacular and I don’t get to perform because I just graduated :(

in my theater we use a mix of vodka and tea tree oil. i find that helps with that "other smell"

Tip for signing on fabric: Get a sheet of sand paper. Put it under the fabric and smooth out the fabric. Now you can sign with ease.
