    I'm glad you are doing the more advanced tools.

    This actually help me out. Thank you for showing this. I was just using the stock posing that was giving. Now I have so much more freedom.

    I've been through this twice, and I'm getting closer, but I still can't get the spheres to drag. I did come close to the results I hoped for, however. Thank you for these tutorials. We need more, and we need them more regularly.

    There us a satisfied grin with rewatching/refinding this video, this helps out a lot with mesh collision things and deforms which i was mistakenly attributing to something having d-force put on it. but anyway either or thank you A lOT

    This is great. I didn't know you could use anything but the morph dials. I've only been using short hair because I don't know how to control longer hair. This opens up a whole new group of products for me to consider!!

    would love you to see a tutorial on animated texture script. I wouldn't stop until I figured it out but would love to see the true step by steps. For our future animations.

    Love these tutorials guys! Any chance we could get one involving posting two characters/models? Something like how to stop collision of body parts like being able to do romantic pose with hands together and fingers intwined, or fight pose such as wrenching your opponents wrist and not having fingers poking through? Smoothing only makes it look weird.

      I'm with you on this one! I would LOVE to see a tutorial on this! :-)

      It's probably WAY easy, but for the like of me I can't get it down. Yet the people that use Daz for Pr0n and such seem to be able with ease. Hah.

      ROFLMAO!!! :-) I guess that's kinda what I'm working on... LOL... only, Book Covers. Gotta make those romance and erotica book covers speak for themselves, ya know? :-) Don't want them looking like Barbie and Ken making out!

    • @MrProjecthalo
      @MrProjecthalo 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Haha. Not that there is anything wrong with that, it's the internet, and 2016..
      Although for book covers is a unique way to go!
      I can't laugh or make fun, as I use it for 3d fake fighters wrestling/fighting and comic. Hence how the whole contact skin to skin would be nice to work out giving the thousands of wrestling moves that have you skin contact and such.

    Damn, I was hoping to learn something I didn't know. I wanted to find out if you could link Dformers together in any way, but I'm not a stranger to the yellow/red dots

    It works for me, but with Genesis 8 hair where there is a lot more detail, it slows waaaaaay down when painting the weight map

    On OSX the symmetry menu will not show with shift + y. It does give me the error about no bones selected when there is no active selection. I change the default shortcut, no succes. I reloaded all defaults, no succes. Not sure whats going on. Im using 4.12, i also see the menu being highlighted when i press shift + Y, this means a shortcut is pressed and executed. Is this a know bug orso? The forum is kinda useless since there is no proper advanced search, so i get tons of none related hits. Searching on the forum is kinda useless!

    excellent tutorials, and speaking voice to learn from. We are creating and working on new project, a full children animation with the new g3 characters to show and teach how valuable all daz3d characters are and how versatile. Your channel will be our go to learning channel that will be promoted and blasted through our site as well.

    Does the mesh of the object affect the field of the deformer and its strength? Sometimes I can get the mesh to go from yellow to orange to red to indicate where the most weight is on a deformer - I might have to move the field around or play with the scale - other times, it won't show up at all, regardless of what I do.
    Are deformers simply not suitable to a mesh that has a low Sub-D level? I'm assuming that this is all related, as it SEEMS like it should be... but I only have the vaguest idea of what I'm even trying to say here.

    I'd like to know more about deformers.. For me right now, it looks very complicated for not much good results.

    Does it really matter where the base is? The effect is dictated by the size and location of the field, and the position of the deformer. I never even mess with the bases.

    8 seconds. That's how long it would take to fix a problem like this in Poser. Get up to speed with your tools Daz!

    It seems like you're going about this the hard way. Why not use collisions instead? Then, fine tune the pose of the hair if necessary.

  • @Xenomorphine

    Was fine up until the actual deformer was selected/activated, but then it lost me.

    I wish the title of this video specified this was for HAIR only.

  • @vanteal
    @vanteal 6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    So what do you do when the hair has no bones?..Is it even possible to manipulate shoulder length hair?..It's like you're using hair with super long and narrow pigtails with a ton of bones just to cheat. This isn't a very helpful video.

    Probably the most over convoluted method of selecting vertices with soft selection I have ever seen in any 3D software, obtuse, over complicated and severely limited in use.
