Depending the morphology of the Genesis model and the cloth, I use a mix of push modifier and if there is still some poke, I tilt a bit the surface parameter of the cloth until everything is fine. It works like a charm.

BTW: regarding the normal pointing, Iray is, to the best of my knowledge, the only raytracer capable of shading both sides of the normal with different materials. It has to be one shader, though. MDL just needs to address 'surface', the "outside" and 'backface', as the "inside". This allows to create very interesting objects. (Page 42 in my MDL Handbook)

So it's actually an "Expand all" but not as a morph technically!
