Thanks so much for this Mada. I'll look forward to giving it a go. It's always great to see a practical demo like this, I'm not too good reading instructions. I'd really like to know some more about all the other settings and what they do. Take care
I'll add some more as I go - a good place to look is the flag demo file in the readme post - that shows you more on how the different meshes and settings will drape :)
OMG seriously, this is all I had to do to get a model ready for dforce and distribution???? geesh I thought the set up was going to be complicated :D thank you so much!
You have to add weight from the foot part to the toes with the weightmap tool. Then when you move the toes the flip flop will follow the toes instead of the foot part :)
thought this was going to be harder than it was, but is similar to the poser dynamics, only trouble I had was with Nvidia graphics drivers giving me an OpenCL error, but updating fixed that.
hallo mada ik krijg mijn posers alleen maar heel klein heb het geprobeerd met paintshop maar nee hoe krijg ik ze groter ?? heb al van alles geprobeerd misschien kan je er een print van maken ? groetjes astrid
There is a wind option, if you look at the sample scenes that comes with dForce Starter Essentials called Blocking Fan Scene it demonstrates wind. You can find it in the scenes folder :)
Hello. Is there any way to export the dforce simulation other programs? example Unity or Unreal? I cant export to fbx, only alembic, but it too slow in mobile. Thanks
I seem to be missing a step or I've done something wrong. Do I have to "Import" an ".OBJ" or can I just load an outfit to the actor? Seems pretty straight forward except for that step. Thank you. =)
Yeah cool! thanks. I've gotten a couple of outfits to work pretty good. However It seems to not work with a G3 character, Crashes the garment to the floor and the actor G3 female doesn't move. Maybe I'm doing something wrong? Also curious if I can then save the modified outfit as a "DForce OBJ" ? Dose that work? Thank you for your time and all you do for us noobs =)
It should work with plain G3, the Daz forums would be the best way to check if anyone else ran into that problem and if there's a solution :) You can save the modifed outfit as a dforce OBJ by exporting the draped obj, or if you want to be able to load it again in future without setting it all up again save it : File -> Save As -> Support Asset -> Figure Prop Assets and change the product name and outfit name by adding something like 01 after it, that way it will save a copy without overwriting the exisiting outfit.
You'll have to be a bit more specific, which corner? :) I do have another tutorial on setting up different icons in your menu at the top if that's what you mean... th-cam.com/video/qME9wjrBnhw/w-d-xo.html
Load your genesis figure the same way you usually do - from your content library. If you want to add a shortcut to load the figure from a toolbar I show how to do that here : th-cam.com/video/qME9wjrBnhw/w-d-xo.html
No I don't - that's a whole other section with lots of tutorials out there. This video covers how to add dforce to an existing garment in Daz Studio, like the title says.
I managed to use dforce... then I saved it as subscene, loaded it into the original scene back and... the simulation is gone -_-....edit: sad you dont show how to save it ;(
You can try saving it as a wearable preset with Genesis 8 selected. If you want to keep the simulation I recommend exporting it as an obj and then importing as a morph in that pose with reverse deformation selected.
@@MadadeLeeuw I found the solution, after loading the Dforced scene, you have to move the timeline to the point where you want it, because my timeline did load on 0, but the frames are there where they should be :) Btw. I can recommend this 2 Scripts: sites.google.com/site/mcasualsdazscripts9/mcjunanimatewholescene sites.google.com/site/mcasualsdazscripts/unanimate-and-reanimate that help with the timeline :)
@@MadadeLeeuw I got it good with the keyframes, I did just simply forgot that it would be there. I assumed if you save it as Scene subset it will also load how you saved it :)
Best tutorial I've seen on using dforce simulation, thankyou Mada

Amazing, I just realised the same! There's no need to rig the skirts! W-O-W! !!
Thanks. This was my first video tutorial on Dforce, and I got great results. Not nearly as intimidating as I thought it was going to be.
do i have to install the dforce? because i dont have that option " dforce modifier and surface simulation settings"
yes you have to install the dForce Starter Essentials in DIM :)
Thanks!
Now I am headed to create new and better outfits/costumes for my characters!
I don't have all of the tools you show here at 1:08 ... No dForce modifier option. Now what?
I believe this is the latest version of Daz Studio 4.11--I don't have it either because I use 4.10. Thinking about getting the latest version!!
Am I allowed to say, your voice and accent is amazing?
Hi when i use fit in flip flops how do i make the back dangle?
You have to add weight from the foot part to the toes with the weightmap tool. Then when you move the toes the flip flop will follow the toes instead of the foot part :)
how can i export clothing from marvelous to daz , i try everytime and i only get the mesh but i cant find the materials and colors i have on them
Hi - I think this thread might have answers to your questions :) www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/364011/the-marvelous-designer-thread/p1
@@MadadeLeeuw i checked and i cant find how to add the same color and maps to the t shirt :(

Right - its just taking that first step and starting to play with it - glad to hear its working for you now :)
Thanks, must say I'm glad I've started using daz studio, poser is getting dated and missing so many functions daz now has
Whoa, how did you get those one-click buttons to load a G8F and apply the shader?
Hey - I show how to set up custom icons in this video :)
Thanks for sharing. Can I bring in a custom clothing made in marvelous designer and yse dforce?
Yes - the outfit above is from MD :)
OMG!!! seriously?? this is all I had to do to make something dforce and ready for distribution????, thank you mada
hallo mada

Thanks Mada ..i only just got the beta so this is great ;-)
Thank you for this tutorial! Is there a way to modify dresses and coats for wind simulation?
There is a wind option, if you look at the sample scenes that comes with dForce Starter Essentials called Blocking Fan Scene it demonstrates wind. You can find it in the scenes folder :)
Hi~How did you click and change pose without going to content library and chose a pose? I didn't see you click any shortcut icon. Thanks
Hi - I have my content library sitting on a second monitor so it was off screen :)
got it^^ thanks~
Hello. Is there any way to export the dforce simulation other programs? example Unity or Unreal? I cant export to fbx, only alembic, but it too slow in mobile. Thanks
As far as I know its DS only, I haven't tried exporting to fbx yet. I'll ask and see if I can get a better reply
Thank You!
Have you considered making the clothes part of the model and applying Apex PhysX to the cloth vertecies from within Unreal?
I seem to be missing a step or I've done something wrong. Do I have to "Import" an ".OBJ" or can I just load an outfit to the actor?
Seems pretty straight forward except for that step. Thank you. =)
You can do both - import an .obj if its a new outfit you made in for example Marvelous Designer, or load an outfit from your library.
Yeah cool! thanks. I've gotten a couple of outfits to work pretty good. However It seems to not work with a G3 character, Crashes the garment to the floor and the actor G3 female doesn't move. Maybe I'm doing something wrong?

Just W-O-W !
