- How to replace the wiper blade rubber inserts on a Honda Accord EX-L V6.
Driver Side: 76622-STK-A01
Passenger Side: 76632-TA0-A01
It's very simple. The only tool I needed was a flat screwdriver. You can use anything that is thin to pry open a cap.
Call your local Honda Parts store in advance because each store sets their own prices. I got mine for $5 each. Some stores were trying to charge $8 a piece.
At a cost of $10, I wouldn't mind changing my wipers every year.
The OEM Honda part numbers for my 2009 Honda Accord EX-L V6 Sedan are:

"Honda Accord" 8th Generation 9th "V6 Engine" V6 DIY Replace Wiper Blade Rubber Inserts Howto "Do It Yourself" 2006 2007 2008 2009 2010 2011 2012 How-to Video Review "Video Review" Civic Car Automobile
This may be obvious but the insert can only be inserted from one specific end and it's the insert you want to focus on. Look closely and you'll notice one end of the insert itself has close ended channels, on the other end of the insert the channel is open allowing you to slide it in to the body of the wiper. Wonderful instructional video, I thank AwkwardHamster for this!
Thank you
GREAT video... complete job took me about 6-7 minutes after watching your video! Ordered mine from my local Honda dealer... 23$ CDN for the pair... Amazon had them for about 22$ EACH... Call your local dealer, better pricing!!!
Thank you
It finally came time for me to replace my 2009 accord exl coupes blades because they were dry rotting off. (They still cleared the windshield fine but half of the drivers side blade came off. Original blades!!!!). My dealership wanted $130 to change them out and I knew that was absurd so I bought the set on amazon for $12 and watched your video and it only took me 10 minutes to have the new ones installed thank you so much for saving me $118!
This works for the 9th generation Accord as well (2013-2017) for those of you wondering.
cool
Equipment changes slightly from year to year but the procedure still works regardless, thank you. I just changed my 2009 O.E. after very slight streaking.
Helpful hint - your blades will last much, much longer if you manually use a scraper to get rid of ice on the windscreen instead of being lazy and using the windscreen wipers to do it.
I just changed my 2010 Honda Accord windshield wipers and I spent $8.49 that includes both rubber inserts and tax! less than I spent on my daughters 04 Mustang windshield wipers. thanks for the DIY video!
I love hearing that I helped someone save money. Thank you.
Replying from 7/11/22. What has driven my nuts all these years is that the rods have specific notches at each end that line up with specific rubber bumps. Each rod is different so you have to be extra careful with the alignment. Also having a pair of slip joint pliers handy make pulling the rubber insert out much easier.
Cool. I chose to replace just the rubber inserts because the original wipers casing doesn't look as cheap as the one shot deals.
Perfectly timed how-to! I changed the rubber inserts while watching and never even had to pause the video! You ROCK!
Cool. Thank you.
thank you so much. I didnt know that we can change the rubber refill cause I normally just go to the store and buy a whole set of wipers. After watching your video I can save a little money. xD so happy
I recently changed my wipers on my 2011 Honda Accord with what I found at Autozone because I couldn't figure out how to remove the inserts. I didn't really like how they looked...kinda cheap. I fortunately saved the old wiper beams, so I'll be replacing the inserts soon. Thanks for the tip!
Sweet
Very helpful. Once you see it, it is easy. A picture is worth 1000 words, but a video is worth 1a million .
thank you
Really Helpful, just followed your steps to replace the wiper blades on my 2008 EX-L. For passenger side I didn't remove the case/housing & it was smooth but for driver's side had to remove. Easy job thank to your video :)
I just replaced the inserts on my wife's 2010 Accord Coupe, it was super easy, barely and inconvenience! Thanks for the video!
You’re welcome
Hi. Can you tell me where you ordered it online? The online OEM stores wanted me to order in bulk or else the price would have been much higher than buying it from the dealer. Thanks.
Wow. Thanks very much. I have just replaced my windshield wiper blades watching
your video.
Great video and nice job on taking the time to show the viewers step by step directions. I just finished replacing my wiper refills for my 2014 Accord Sport and it's worked perfectly thank you so much your a life saver lol.
Fernando V. glad it helped
Great video! It helped tremendously! Following your video's instructions I was able to change both of my 2010 Honda CRV's wiper blades inserts within a few minutes. You saved me a lot of time and frustration. The Honda owner's manual is useless.
Cool, glad to be of assistance.
Thanks! You turned a 1 hour task into a 10 minute task, and saved me $20. Just a quick suggestion for others. It's much esier to do on a table. Lay the old and new blade on a table in identical positions, and just pull the bars out of the old and put into the new in the same position.
Thank you.
I have to watch this every time I do this! It’s at the absolute limit of my mechanical ability😜 Thanks so much!
Glad to hear this was helpful.
MUCH better video than the others I watched. Thank you for being so specific and detailed, pointing out the differences between blade sides and metal tabs. I have a civic but this worked for my 08 as well. Awesome, job. Thank you!
Glad I found this one, very detail. Buying tips is excellent. I watched other videos and they are not as good as yours.
I'm guessing the 22 dislikes have to be guys with shops that make 100 bucks for doing this. Great video
Thank you
I highly recommend using the Honda wiper inserts. I find that aftermarket wiper blades don't work as well and also have clearance issues.
Very useful video. Other videos show how to replace the whole wiper assembly, when all you need are the rubber inserts. Big money saver. Thank you.
SolterosLatino.com thanks for watching
Thanks for this post. I had bought the inserts but wasn't sure how to do the replacement.
Great video. I'm using the OEM rubber inserts as well and the metal structure pieces won't stay in after aligning the tabs, they just fall out. Is any kind of adhesive needed?
Excellent instructions. You made this a simple task that saved me money. Thanks.
Great video shows just how it's done real simple, doesn't get side tracked telling you about the weather or his Grandma
thank you
Cool. Glad to hear people found this video useful.
thanks for pointing out what direction the refills pull out, helped a lot! 🤙🏼
You’re very welcome. Thanks for watching
Thnx for the video, I couldn't figure out how to pull te old refill out till I saw your vid. Another reason to buy Honda oem, I've bought the expensive, 15.00 replacement ones, after a few of them, I would have a little streak left on right away. The Honda dealershp near recomended to replace w/ oem, was skeptical at 1st, but guess what cheaper, and no more streaks.
Worked great for my 8th gen civic thanks so much! Saved my mom a lot of money
Sweet
Hi kingjohn219. Thanks for the compliment. I love to hear that I helped someone save money.
Thanks for the video. So much better than being charged 35$ for the dealership to do it.
Excellent video, used this info to replace the blades on my 2011 Civic sedan. Slightly different but some concept. Thanks much!
Thank you
Is that silicone blades? Or ordinary rubber blades ?
Ordinary blade
@@AwkwardHamster it will not last
Did this with my '97 civic ex.
Couldnt have done it without this vid.
Kevin Ajtun Stywert thanks
I believe the Bosch blades comes with the frame and the rubber insert. You will first remove your Honda wiper blades as shown in my video. Instead of taking the Honda blades apart, you'll simply take the Bosch blades and took it on to the Honda as show in the last step in my video. You're basically replacing the whole unit. But keep the Honda blades around because you never know when you'll want to go back to it. Honda blade inserts are much cheaper to replace.
Fantastic video-great details and step by step instructions. I went through quite a few videos yours is the best by far. Good job, Thanks
Glad it helped
I ordered the parts from eBay and they fit perfectly. Thanks for sharing and for saving me money.
Great video. Very explanatory and clear directions.
thanks
I'm glad I was able to be of some assistance.
Thank you for posting this video. It helped me replace the factory wiper inserts on our 2012 Acura MDX.
Cool
Awesome! Thanks a lot for the post! Saved a ton of money and got an OEM part as well! Took 2 minutes to do!
cool
Hey THANK YOU. I am getting ready to order the OEM's online. Needed know how to change them. Thanks. I have a 2006 Honda Accord EX.
You don't need an adhesive. The rubber should align perfectly with the metal. And when you slide it into the frame, it should secure.
question... I want to put in bosch blades and wanted to know how to go about doing that. And is there a higher quality blades that Honda sells so I don't have to buy bosch. the one that came with my car were ruined within 3 months! leaves streaks and water behind. I really need it bad. Thanks!!
Thanks! Easy once you understand it. I also found different prices between Honda dealerships by as much as $5.00 each.
Wow, cool
Great how-to video! Thanks for sharing this. Worked perfectly for a 2013 Civic.
Sweet
You just saved me some money G. Big thanks it worked perfectly
cool. thanks for watching.
Good video. Consulted this to change the wiper insert onto my 2010 Accord V6.
Sams Tablet cool
Great Video. Very clear and helpful. Saved money by watching and doing. Thanks so much.
Glad to hear this helped.
Thanks for taking the time to show us.
Fred Jones thank you for watching
just did this on my wife's 2013 accord great video! thanks for sharing.
+Brake light Warranty
Cool
Maybe update your video title to reflect the year or gen accord this video pertains to. Luckily i didn't order the inserts yet because i read thru the comments and this seems like the accord in the video is an older model. I have a 9th Gen (2015) and unsure if the part numbers to the inserts are the same.
Part number for the blade may be different but the replacement instructions would be the same.
Thanks a lot. It also worked on my 2013 Civic Sedan. Very clear instructions.
+Jack Dealy
cool
I watched several videos and yours was the most helpful. Thanks alot!
+Vanessa Flowers-Noville
Thank you
I have a 2005 honda accord ... Is it the same process?
Yes.
If you buy the complete replacement, it can be cheaper when it's on sale. The look will be different. I rather like the look of the Honda wiper blade enclosure. That's why I just buy the rubber inserts.
thank you for the great video.....im going to do it right now....you have removed the unknown factor
+Robert Simonofsky
excellent
Thanks for the great instructions. Worked on my 2008 Accord.
Excellent
i was trying to find the end of the U hook to release the entire wipers but cant find it. so actually i need to pry the flip first.
Very helpful video. No doubt this saved me a ton of time.
+Somenite
Glad to hear that
Thanks to you I was able to fix my windshield!!!
do I replace just the refill rubber part, or the entire thing?
Just the rubber part
Exactly what I needed to know. Same exact wiper blade & refill as the 2013 Infiniti G37. Thanks
+R. Napier
Thank you
Definitely recommend replacing the blades ONLY as seen in this video. Unfortunately, most stores (Walmart etc) sell only the entire blade including the rocker arm. That's stupid. OEM Honda arms are nice graphite. Why in the world would you swap in cheap plastic for the better OEM part?
Thanks, I followed this and it worked perfectly.
Patrick Bidkhanian
Excellent
Great!! Please make more videos for the same car!
Terry Gee I purchased this car new so there isn't much to do.
Same applies for Civic 2015... Thank you very much!!!
+wtrdogg20
Excellent, thanks for sharing
I installed the Michelin guardian from Costco. It was around 20 bucks. How much was the cost again?
For all 3 wiper blade inserts it was about $21+tax.
AwkwardHamster that’s dead cheap. Where did you buy again please?
I bought it directly from the Honda dealership parts department. You can tell them your car's year and model and they'll look up the parts for you. I would recommend calling them to ask about the price because not all Honda dealerships charge the same price.
I just realized this is my Honda Accord video, so I bought 2 wiper inserts for $7 each. Total was $14+tax. It was my other Honda that required 3.
AwkwardHamster Got to do that. I am just not liking the Michelin blades on my car. Thanks again for the reply!
Glad you found it useful.
Excellent Video. Worked perfectly on my 2014 accord.
Great job, and thanks a bunch!
Erik Kurlanska thank you
I love to hear someone was able to save money from my videos!
So, I shouldn't just buy 26" and 17" wiper blades and replace the whole thing?
You are very welcome and thanks for watching.
Terrific video. Thank you so very much for posting. Was exactly what I needed.
thank you
Thanks for the part numbers, man. Great video; very useful.
nice little video. I wold suggest that folks get a better replacement from an auto parts store, Honda blades streak quickly
Michael Hickey thank you
I just replaced my three year old blades, and I never had a problem with streaking. Replacing the inserts cost $10. Replacing with two quality full blades would cost $30 to $40. I do use a quality washer fluid, not the cheap stuff, so that might help.
Thank you so much, I benefited from your video today, owesome video 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Thanks
Most Out Standing tutorial video. It helped me a great deal in replacing wiper blades. I had no Idea that Honda has a special housing for the wiper blades.
+Debbie Navarro
thank you

Thank you for posting.

Great vid! Replacing my blades today. :)
Just had Autozone install two wiper blades. Passenger side works fine. Driver side, not so pretty good. :-( I think I will return it. Hope they take it back. It vibrates and makes a lot of noise. I guess I will go to the Honda dealership from now on. I just assumed that they would charge an arm and a leg for any parts. Glad to know they have some good deals. :-)
Thanks for saving me money!
Thank You.. This was very helpful..
