@@LaviandOllie Seriously tho, great vid. I’d love to do something like this but only have my old bike and not much money. Perhaps I’ll have a try after all.
u gotta start somewhere mate and try and get a reasonable priced bike. mines only like £500 less. its a carrera kraken and i love it. i just think i need better tyres for all terrain and thickness. im also looking at camping gear and tents and its expensive i see but its what i want to do.
Great to see people get out there and open to adventuring and exploring about themselves and cycling👍 l'm a 68 year old Welshman bike touring the wonderful Philippine Vasayan Islands👣🚴🏽🏴
I did Lands End to JOG June 2021, probably best leisure time I ever did in my 61 years! Like to see you youngsters enjoying the great outdoors. Nice film 🙂
Really enjoyed this, you guys! Stacey and I really admire your humble approach to adventure. We too are all about getting out there and not spending the earth. Looking forward to watching the remainder of this series. Take care, Jamie and Stacey
Just found this channel, i did this when i was younger and it brings back so many memories, i am nor 62 and still cycle every day, make as many memories as you can while you can because when you get older it will make such a difference to your life. Stay safe and always keep smiling.
Hey Patrick! That's great to hear that you also had such a great adventure when you were younger and are now still cycling regularly and going strong 😁🙏 We hope you enjoy watching our adventure!
@@LaviandOllie yes definitely looking forward to following your adventures around the world, walking driving cycling makes no difference as you look like a fun couple to watch. Will spend the next couple of days catching up on all the rest 😜
Cool videos, I noticed you have the very same bike I am purchasing off ebay (dawes horizon) . Would you mind telling me your bikes frame size and your height ? I'm struggling to find any information online regarding the bikes size guide. Thanks!
Oh cool well this bike has done this route twice! So it has a proven track record for JOGLE 😁 My height is 5'8" and my frame size is 21", hope this helps! Thanks for watching 😁🙏
We used a Final Cut Pro Plugin called FCPX Maps from Pixel Film Studios, it takes a while to work out how to use it well but once you get there it's a really useful tool :)
I just tuned in to this after seeing a link on a cycling group on Facebook. Well done both. A well-produced video and a great adventure. I wish I had your confidence to explore when I was younger! You should join a load of cycling groups on social media and get these videos out there to a wider audience. You deserve it. I'm looking forward to watching them all now 😊
That's great to hear you're enjoying the series so far Scott! 😁🙏 We've joined a whole bunch of groups but it would certainly help us if you also share, we'd very much appreciate it 😊
nice video and mrs i must say. beautiful scenery and them bikes are something i wouldnt use lol the tyres are so thin it looks. u have all that gear and cheap bikes lol well at least u did it i guess. i cant wait to go on solo trips.
Glad you enjoyed it haha yes that was part of the challenge! Truth is none of our gear is expensive we wanted to show that it was possible for anyone on any old bikes 😊
Enjoyed that, if I safely assume you made it to Land's End then well done, welcome to the LEJOG/JOGLE club! I rode my first one last July, solo, it was epic, I too recorded everything on my channel. It certainly changes you. =) My next big adventure is hopefully going to be the North Coast 500 in August - I would look forward to exploring Western Scotland. Will definitely watch the rest of your journey - its a massive achievement for anyone!
Thanks Richard we hope you enjoy the rest of the series, we have plenty more episodes to come 😁🙏 You'll have to watch the rest to find out if we make it 🤪 Yes western Scotland is absolutely stunning, we weren't able to go there on this trip but that will certainly be the next one in Scotland!
Can you just camp anywhere or did you guys book this out? I am doing something similar and I read you can’t just camp on the side of the road. I’d love to know!!
In Scotland you can wild camp and in England on the canal you can camp anywhere you want :) We had some issues finding paid camp spots because we did it during the corona time and all paid camping places were closed. So we ended up wild camping every night.
Just stumbled on your channel. You did well considering you say you had no previous cycling experience 😃 must admit I did have a laugh when you discribed your first speed wobble 🤣 I guess you have now learnt that standing up on the pedals on the downhills is the way to go 😀 looking forward to the rest of the series 👍
@@LaviandOllie I can't wait I am middle of building my e bike camper well say building I am prepping materials. Going record the build process and put it up and so far all the materials been recycled

I have a forty pound hybrid I would be happy to tour on. You don't need £5k bikes to enjoy cycling. You do need to know how to work on bikes, but even basic knowledge would do....and add to the fun.
Just saying as a pro mechanic those bikes needed some serious work like the dark blue one the hub was on its way out. And ideally new tyres and brake pads before setting out on them. Awesome content btw
Pick a tour bike for road tours coast to coast ect ,a bike pack bike for off road trails tours and expedition bike for the other ,a lot of reasons for this bikes might look same but are not
