Forced to make a break from around the world travel, ‘The Longest Road’ follows our adventure here at home as we attempt to cycle from the top of Scotland (John o’Groats) to the bottom of England (Lands End), dubbed “The longest possible road in Britain” stretching 2000km, all on £100 bicycles with no previous cycling experience. More scenery and that was great. St ill a surplus of selfies. Midges like flesh -exposed flesh - the answer is to cover up. Highlands in June and beyond are a bit of a no-no as the midges get under way. Repellents help but are not guaranteed. Eye protection is a must on the road when insects are about. I did the End to End in May and early June and got away with it - I did it the other way round. Happy cycling.

Nice video of scenery and nice campsite. Those stone circles are sometimes very dirty inside .Scotland is notorious for midges. After following you I will have done it in my head.
I agree with you, where people go, rubbish follows, though this one was actually fine :) Luckily, and we sure kept it that way and always pick up rubbish when we see it! We hope you continue to follow the series 😁🙏

It was a challenge to film the trip for sure but I'm so glad you enjoyed the end result 😁🙏 There were so many awesome spots to camp during this adventure it was one of my favourite parts

Burn dead weeds mixed with clay clogs ,in a hobo can fire pit easy to make will keep the bugs miles away
I don't think there was such a fire pit nearby but I love the idea 😁

Yes indeed the food shop is always at Asda or Morrisons or Aldi and for water we are carrying about 3L each and fill up anywhere we can along the way, cafe's, petrol stations, public toilets etc

Thanks so much 😁🙏 We use GoPro 7's mostly, we use a Nikon D3400 for close ups and a Mavic Pro Drone for the awesome aerial shots!

Thanks! 😁🙏 For the locks it was nothing special just one of those metal fibre ones 1m long from Amazon 🤪

Is it legal or sensible to camp inside an ancient stone circle?
It is indeed legal :) They have been used and are still being used as sheep pens, very robust! We made sure to keep it very clean and tidy and not jump on the stones :)
Why would you want to sleep in a sheep pen 😂 not to mention before that it was a burial ground. Absolute idiots 😂

hiya at 6:53 what is that place called and whats the history about it if u know. i can see there was 2 with a pathway downwards towards the other circles center. them insects inside ur tent omg that has defo got to be a worst night. ive never been scotland im from england and im glad i dont see them insects where im at but when i was 20 i went to illinois USA and we was driving at night and i looked to my left and seen these flashing yellow things in the fields i said to my friend whats that she said oh lightning bugs. i felt a bit stupid but ive never seen them in my life and ive heard of them in animation like bugs life but i didnt think it was real. i feel stupid really tbh. i said to my friend i want to take some home in a clear jar haha. i said they are like a bug with a led up its arse haha.
Yes indeed they are sheep herding pens 😊 The midges are a real pain in the highlands you have to be very quick to get in and out your tent 😂 Lightning bugs sound cool I have never seen them!
