Favourite rollercoaster in Thorpe park! I think one of the best things about the park is the fact that they have awesome theming on saw, stealth and swarm (nemesis inferno and colossus are a bit vague)
Susie Studios I agree, I think NI and Colossus could do with a bit of elaboration on their storyline/theming.

I remember first going on the Swarm, it was the first coaster with inversions I’d ever been on. The first time, like always, was very scary, but afterwards, I just wanted to go on it again and again. No other coaster in Thorpe Park has got the same exciting feeling as the Swarm. Ever since then, I have been researching, watching videos on the Swarm and I am itching to get back on it when Thorpe opens. I’ll be going with my friends who have never been on a coaster before, I can’t wait to see their reaction 🤣

The swarm is in my top 5 UK coasters, the theming is INCREDIBLE! It does have a couple slow parts, but it's a winged masterpiece!
Personally, I love The Swarm. It is the only wing coaster I’ve experienced but I enjoy its smoothness. Back left seat always. The first drop is my favourite element.

Just went on a school trip today, this was the first ever rollercoaster I went on in my life. It freaked me out so bad when I was upside down at the start, and I couldn't move my head due to gravity at the drop (I felt like I was going to pass out as for at least 10 seconds I couldn't breath). The wind felt amazing though, and it is generally and amazing ride. I was so hyped afterwards after I had found out I survived. Amazing coaster, love the ride. 9-10/10

Without a shadow of doubt my absolute fave UK coaster. For me, nothing even comes close. Just wish it was longer. Love the swoop over the water, & the first roll over from the front far right seat.

The Swarm was the first upside down rollercoaster I ever went on and WOW it did not disappoint. I absolutely love it! Its my number 2 coaster in the UK after ICON at blackpool pleasure beach.

I love the Swarm,This has to be my best Coaster from Thorpe Park and has the best ride experience with options on both sides to change the feel of the ride.Great fun in the Dark on Fright Nights!!!!

This is my favourite ride in Thorpe Park I would say, the ride is very smooth and while overall its not very intense, some sections like going into the incline loop are extremely intense. It also provides a great sunset and night right

The Swarm is number 4 in my must ride U.K coaster list. Nemesis is 1, Icon is 2 and Smiler is 3. Big One is just behind Swarm at 5. Loved this review as I loved the Magnum XL-200 one!

Lemur Gaming I’m not too sure. It would take away the charm of the Swarm as being the only wing coaster in the UK.
I don't think towers should get one, there's plenty more coaster types it could use more. They already have an invert a dive and a flyer they don't need a wing coaster aswell, it won't offer that much of a big difference. I'd much rather them take Rita out and use that space to build an intamin blitz with amazing themeing

I agree about the pre-show, ive always been a bit unsure about the theme. I'm quiet suprised actually that they never added another ride or even a horror maze in the same area area that is linked to the theme, a bit like what they did with nemesis at alton.
I was meant to go to Thorpe park today but I just watch your vlog from there and when you went to a ride I just watched a POV and pretended to ride it and just want to say that kelp doing good and say safe
Wanted to ride this for years, but always thought the theme or the "mysterious beast" should have been drones/robots/AI that have gone out of control! But I love the mystery around the current theme nonetheless, looks great!

The Swarm is my 3rd favourite coaster in uk only beaten by Smiler and Icon. Yes, I understand that some people dislike The Smiler, but I really like that ride.

The fact the ‘zero-G’ roll has hang means that it somewhat fails at being ‘zero-G’.
This ride has always felt a bit ‘B&M by numbers’ to me. Epic theming but it’s screaming to be more intense. This and Nemesis Inferno are a bit.... complacent, IMHO.
The Swarm was my immediate favourite when I first visited the park, however I went back in September 2019 and Stealth overtook it but its still a close second

Yeah it's disappointing
First time going to Thorpe park last year as we had just got merlin passes. The swarm is now one of my all time favourites and is now the reason my sister in law has finally braved some of the rides at Alton towers as that’s our local park as the swarm was her first upside down ride.
I know that hence why I said we went to Thorpe park for the first time last year and because of going on that my sister in law decided that when we went to Alton towers later in the year she would do some of the bigger rides there
I love Swarm, it's one of my favourites at Thorpe Park. It's such a smooth ride and lots of airtime on this
My first wing. Good fun and the final inversion is surprisingly forceful. You feel very free.
Only other wing I've ridden is Furious Baco.

@@areyoureadybootssss on the front row at night it's quite exhilarating, you can't see anything. Just avoid the outside row or you'll emerge with a splitting headache
It's been 8 years since we got The Swarm. Time for an RMC!
Swarm is like the 4th ride I've ever ridden. I went to thorpe park today and rode all the big ones and I really liked this one. It's super smooth.
I love when the fire effect on the truck works
In my opinion it's the best ride at thorpe, anyone can go and make a launch coaster like Stealth but it takes a real designer to map out the layout and use immersive theming like in The Swarm
definitely my faourite coaster @ thorpe. the only ride I can do repeatedly!
The Swarm Is My Favourite B&M Coaster By Far In The UK following Nemesis inferno in second place.
Every time I go to Thorpe Park I have a tendency of hugging one of the Swarms supports because I personally missed it, it maybe the only winged coaster in the UK and that is what makes it special.
Favourite ride at thorpe! The theming is world class and the ride is so smooth and has a lot of swooping elements. It really feels like you're flying.

Swarm is my #2 at Thorpe park and my current #3 in the UK. The theme is a stroke of genius, the coaster is very smooth and with some cool interactions, it’s just a really good ride
Came here to see your review on The Swarm after my visit to Thorpe Park Wednesday and Thursday this week. The Swarm gets better the more I ride it, and I think I now prefer it to Nemesis. Probably my favourite rollercoaster in the UK. My son loves Colossus, but it is too rough for me. Maybe I just prefer the smoother rollercoasters.
The swarm was the second big ride I ever did. The first being furious baco back when I was really young.
I queued almost 3 hours for the swarm but I liked it a lot. It’s biggest issue is how short it is.

The Swarm is one of my favorite coasters at the park. I agree with braving it backward, I much prefer facing forwards. Que times are normally good also as it has a good throughput. Its great fun in the wet to it flys around the track even better. Hers hoping for a new coaster soon to Thorpe it is needed there. Great Job on the content it's keeping me occupied in lockdown.

Just went to Thorpe park today. I went on saw and swarm both great!
I first rode Swarm in May 2017 and loved it although Stealth is my adrenaline favourite!
I once stood next to the phone box for half an hour and there are several voice lines that relate to the "island" e.g. one person I seem to remember is calling for help and another sounds to be calling a service and talking about the church. I am not sure on the actual lines since i was there about a year and a half ago, but yeah.

I love how graceful this one is. I love watching it swoop around. I last got to ride it in 2012 so goodness knows what its like now. But I got to ride it a few times back to back at the end of the day ain various seats and enjoyed every run
It’s currently my number 1 coaster at the moment after riding it twice on my 20th birthday last year

Love the Swarm! That and Stealth are my favourite two at Thorpe park. Such a smooth and comfy ride all the way through!
I got heatstroke in the queue for swarm on a school trip. It was 25 degrees in the cattle pen for 3.5 hours, not great! Love the coaster so so much though and I'm a big fan of the restraints. Stealth might still be the number 1 for me though, it's very close!
One of my top 5 in the UK, absolutely love this coaster, they put so much effort into the theme it really brings alive the alien attack on earth
The theme song for the swarm is so good!! I gotta get to Europe to ride some of these absolute units of rollercoasters

My choice for swarm is always the back left for the best experience and back right for the intensity! And also it’s a police support unit for the operators cab not an ambulance.
I can't believe this ride opened in 2012! Time flies lol.
The theming of the area is absolutely fantastic, the station building (a ruined church) and the upside down police van as the control booth are superb touches, and the ride itself is incredible, that inline twist above the station 👌
My only problem is the vest restraints. I really wish it had the old restraints like Nemesis. However the ride is excellent which means I rate it as the 3rd best in the UK after Icon and Nemesis
The restraints can get tight, especially later on in the ride!

Great ride. My third favourite after Nemesis and Icon based on overall ride design. I feel a pre-show would add greatly. The first drop and the fast helex are my favourite bits. I used to prefer Saw and Stealth over it, but the feel of the coaster seems so well designed. It would also be better if the restraints weren't so claustrophobic.

It would take away the charm of the Swarm being the only wing coaster in the UK. I think they would need something more unique that would fit in with the rest of their coasters. Each coaster they have seems to be a worlds first in their own way.

I love the swarm to it’s amazing when was aloud to go to Thorpe Park and ride the big coasters we did and we went on birthday it was amazing but what really made It for me was having my last ride on the swarm back row with my best friend best ride ever

Riding it backwards kinda gave my head a weird sensation and it wasn't great you couldn't really feel the wind going in your face or the near misses
the bak left seat is so crazy. The drop is so fast and the zero-g roll has so much pull over the crest. It genuinely scares me

With Thorpe being my home park I struggle to pin down a number one, I find the coasters to all be decent with their own strengths and weaknesses. However over the past few years the swarm has felt much more forceful than in the past and is pushing for that number one spot. I love the views across to the city and Heathrow from the lift hill and the amazing scenery around the ride. It definitely gives the best night ride at Thorpe. Over the past year I've discovered if you get around an inch of extra space in your restraint then you get excellent hang time on the first drop, unparalleled to anything I've ever experienced! the zero g roll is exceptional, and the ride delivers on the front or the back, however I do often find myself wishing it was longer, but it is certainly fun to marathon on quiet days or at the end of fright nights!

I first rode the swarm on 15th August 2012 (I was 15 at the time) I didn’t have a glasses strap so my glasses case off before riding for obvious reasons!! It’s one of those coasters I absolutely love!! That much so it sits at number 3 in my top 10 coasters out of 64 I’ve done across 20 years!! In terms of favourite seat, back row left hand side as you’re sat on it and the wing seat any day of the week!! I’ve got 3 baseball caps, 2 hoodies, 4/5 tshirts, plastic model, mug, magnet and pins from the ride!! It’s just that good

Gatekeeper and The Swarm are the only two B&M wing coasters I've ridden and while I like the back row best on both sides of Gatekeeper: I like the back row right side on Swarm. In fact: I actually think I prefer the middle row right side over back row left side, but back right is my favourite ride in the park.

This seems like one of those rides that enthusiasts would turn their noses at, but happens to be a really fun experience. I've yet to experience a B&M wing coaster and I hope to ride one soon!
@@danielledewitt1 I'm an enthusiast too. I don't mean all enthusiasts think the same way (and I apologize if I came off that way). However, a lot of enthusiasts tend to talk trash about excellent roller coasters that aren't all about speed or intensity. It's why I like Shawn! He's open minded and can see rides for being great experiences beyond those things!
I love this ride, it was the first thrill ride I did when I first visited Thorpe park a couple months ago. For me this ride is scary because I am quite scared of roller coasters, also it is not my fav, nemesis inferno is, however it is still my second favourite ride at the whole park so it is definitely a absolutely fantastic ride!
My family are obsessed with this ride, I think it’s the theming that gets them so excited ahahah. I loveeee it and the feeling of sitting at the front when it gets to that first turn at the top of the lift hill is amazing. It’s so unique and the belts are actually well comfy, I used to think it felt like being in a harness, especially when u get to the hang time at the beginning. I never got to ride it backwards but wondered why didn’t you like it- Is the ride just better forwards? Loved this video :)
I think it’s a much better ride going forwards! The near miss elements are designed to be seen head on!
I love the swarm. It’s my joint favourite coaster along with Shambhala at portaventura. Absolutely brilliant coaster

this is my favourite coaster ive ridden at the moment. ive not got the highest CC (thorpe, towers and Eurodisney) but i just love this ride. I find it really intense on the front row, and the hangtime is amazing. it also has great theming
without counting the theming the left side is less intense in my opinion and the right side is more intense which swayed my opinion the first time i went on it and i feel like the vest restraints are comfy but without the slight contriction of shoulder restraints your body moves instead of your inner body which i feel like adds to all coasters
I love it, and you’re spot on with this review, it’s all about the experience and with the surrounding scenery I would say it’s the most immersive themed area in the UK! On ride love the first drop and the second over the water I find more and more intense each year!
I haven't been on Swarm :( I get so sick when I go upside down. I went to Thorpe Park last year and watched as my family went on. The more I watched the more I really want to try it. Maybe one day, you only live once even if I get sick, I'm sure it has to be worth it LOL
absolutely love the swarm my 2nd favourite coaster in the uk (smiler my number one) like you said Shawn its the whole experience that makes it i love the theming of the area it works so well i love B&M wing coasters in general they may not be the most intense but just the feeling of being on the edge dangling its something unique that B&M have mastered
I know that it may sound ridiculous, but this is my no1 uk coaster. It is just so intense on the back and so smooth and scenic on the front.
Went 5 years ago today. This was my first winged coaster. Absolutely loved it. Nearly cried mind crapped myself cause I was on the outside. 😂😂
The swarm is one of my favourite rides at Thorpe park and feel quite privileged for it to be my local park having the only wing coaster in England
I cant even get this credit, I'm too tall to ride it. The worst part is I'm even too tall to fit into the Nemesis Inferno seats, so I have no chance with this, the only ride I can fit into is Saw
