I didn't have much money, and I've never done anything like this before, but by following your video I was able to get a new top sent out from the USA to New Zealand for my wife's '94 Camaro. I've installed it following your instructions and it looks fantastic!!! Thanks again, I really appreciate the time you spent to make and publish this.

I am so glad you have this video. I was scanning through the other one I found on here but all the Spanish was making me look crazy cause I don't speak Spanish 😆. Now I will have to watch this one tomorrow so I can listen to what you are doing while you are explaing it. Well worth me sitting through another one to understand whats being done. I wish i could post photos on here to so how my window came unglued. This is tbe reason I want to watch this video incase I just swap the whole top. Thanks again.
Dude you are the MAN ! I just completed the convertible top job with the help from your video on my 1999 slp.. ls1 camaro . ... I bought the OEM material top from Sierra on ebay Thay put holes to line up on the window section to match the holes on the bow plus a line on the outer top to staple the bow section on , a buddy of mine that does this for a living told me to staple the line on the outer top to the lower bottom part of the plastic insert on the bow , so that is what I did and it stretched the top out perfect with zero wrinkles using this sierra oem like ebay top for $550 shipped to my house ... I would really recommend these sierra tops very exact OEM specked top , could not have turned out better stretched out perfectly ! thanks so much for this video , I could never have done this job with out this video .... saved me a bunch of $$$$ 🙂

Okay its been some time but i fixing to tackle this job now. Shes just been collecting dust for a few months now. I have seen a lot of different tops for sale online. What is tbe best top to go with? Is there a certain site you go to? Im still wanting to keep the glass window as well like it is now. I was also going to tint my window before installing it cause it will be eady to do as well. Thanks again
Also was wondering if you had a link to the stainless staples and rivets you use? I know you said 3/8 staples and 1/8 rivets. I just didn't want to get them too long in the length. Thanks.
I need help! my top does not have a mark on the outertop where it mounts to the rear bow. how far is it from the bottom of the fabric to the staple line. Thank you. video has worked amazing so far. very informative.
the mark It's like one inch and a half from the bottom.. but you can use the old top as a pattern to draw that line
@@mecaupholsterytips My customer brought the car in with the outer already off so we have no template. And he bought a cheap top and there is no mark. Is it a cut or a stitch difference that I am maybe missing? If i had a measurement from the bottom of the top i could manage. Thank you for the help. you seem to be the only one on the internet that has information.

Watching this video has gave me the confidence to replace my custom 99 30th anniversary trans am blue top, I removed my old top tonight and im gonna put new one on tomorrow, my old top had a kind of butyrol tape behind weather strip. Is that not oem? Maybe it was done to stop a leak, I wish I ordered new scraping but I can't wait but ill be glad to not have a leaky roof causing mildew and starting to rot my floors out and I can finally put my new interior in, thank you for this video and the confidence you are a good man bud and nice job!!
Anyone know what Bostitch model staple gun was used? Also, what sized staples?

@@joshuagordillo1049 Actually he said what size. I re-watched and he said 3/8" or 1/2" stainless steel. I used an Arrow PT50 Pneumatic Staple gun.
