    Where do you put the tweeter in the door on a Camaro?

    Has anyone mounted tweeters in the A pillars or dash? I don't like the stock soundstage at my feet.

    Thanks for the vid. New firebird owner. My only gripe is we all have cracked doors XD

      Remove your door panels and on the top black weather stripping (where the window goes down into the door when you roll it down), remove all the staples holding the black trim on. The staples didn’t let the the plastic contract with the cold and heat so the plastic would crack instead. Replace all the staples with zip ties, you will need to drill out the staple holes to make them bigger. Then reinstall and it won’t get any worse. I was lucky enough to stop mine before the cracked. I’ll get my video uploaded to TH-cam one day showing how I did it.

      @@Bird-dl7xs i seen a video of that somewhere. Mine were cracked when i got it. So i gotta find new door panels and modify those before they crack

      @@noesparks337 I had a small crack on one of mine. I got it pushed back together like it should be. Used tape on the front side to hold it together, then took JB plastic adhesive and glued the crack on the backside. Kept the crack together. Not near as noticeable, something to try until you find new door panels. Those can be a dick to find depending on color. Good luck

    Do you sell these speakers, adapters, etc? If so, do you sell an entire collection of all the speakers, tweeters, crossovers, amplifiers, connectors, etc. for a 98-02 F-Body? I’m wanting to replace all the speakers, head unit, factory amp, and upgrade to something better sounding. My speakers are basically blown. I’ve been searching but getting confused on what I need. If there was one big option to buy it all together then I would be a happy customer. Let me know. Thank you

    Can I run those front speakers with tweeters without the crossover? No interest in a subwoofer.

      Crossovers are required if they come with the speaker set. They protect the speaker from frequencies it cannot handle. You can alternatively find a speaker set with integrated crossovers to eliminate the need for an external setup like ours.

    What's a crossover?

    • @chrismay2298
      @chrismay2298 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      A crossover separates the high and low signals and blocks the chosen frequency to keep from killing the tweets with bass signals, or to keep from killing subs with distortion from high frequency signals.

    I got a pair of speakers and just soldered the stock connector to them and put them in the car do you think that would cause my tweeter to not work? because they don’t seem as loud

    • @ProvoBeastAudio
      @ProvoBeastAudio  ปีที่แล้ว

      If you have the monsoon amplifier still in operation, generally that Monsoon amp put's out it's power around 2 ohms for this channel, and depending on how you have it wired, it may be 4 ohms. Raising the impedance will lower the sensitivity making the speaker sound quieter. What we did on this Firebird is we also added a 5 channel amp and bypassed the monsoon amplifier for much better volume and performance.

    • @dan_nicastro3266

      @@ProvoBeastAudio all I did was take out the mid range speaker and connect those 2 wires to the speaker. Stock tweeter and no crossover, do you think if I hooked up the stock tweeter connection to the high connection on my aftermarket speaker would make it louder?
