It’s just baffling to me how little attention you get. This is literally nuts. Please keep doing this. Your channel is the coolest thing I’ve seen in years!
Absolutely stunning. This is so close to the original in a few places that I might have trouble recognizing it. Also, what a timing, I've just finished rewatching the movie.
This is why he piano rules, in my opinion: look how much you can do with just one instrument. Sure, 21 hands, I think they're all from the same person doing them at different times, but still just one piano. You could do this live.
I know this comment is super late but this entire video is a goddamn achievement. I love playing piano, and honestly this has just opened my mind to the pure potential. To even think of combining all of these disparate techniques and then executing them so harmoniously is just.... It warms me.
Wow, that is again amazing - thank you for sharing! "You Play the Piano, Is So Beautiful When The Sun Is Low. Rolling Over The Strings, You Can See Spice In The Air."
This is absolutely fantastic. It's amazing how you came up with this idea and actually turned into a reality. Using the piano this creatively and beautifully is not something to just forget. This is true progressiv art. Thank you for sharing!
Absolutely AMAZING. Hans Zimmer definitely needs to see this and I can't believe how well you managed to play that synth and wind heavy piece on a piano!!
Absolutely blown away, I knew about some of these extended piano techniques but I just got a whole new perspective on piano and sounds it can make. Amazing!!!! 👏
It really is! I‘m hopeful that a lot of what I learned and discovered with the dune soundtrack will be applicable or adaptable for other themes as well.
Your arrangements are always so incredibly mesmerizing... crazy what you can do on on a single grand piano! I think a very fitting soundtrack to play woud be "now we are free" from gladiator, just as an idea. Love your work!
Thank you for your kind words! That is most definetely on the list, but I have not yet had the inspiration of how to get it to sound right.. Maybe oneday..😊
I can't explain with words how much I love this channel!! The concept, the thumbnails, the performance, the quality... You surprise me with new ways of playing the piano I've never seen before. Bravo!! ❤️
Wow this is actually incredible and so original. I have always thought of the piano as being such a complex instrument and this unlocks a whole new level of complexity that's possible with it. Amazing work. So creative, and beautifully performed!
That was trrully amazing. I have been looking forward to this video for awhile. Hans would be proud that his music is able to be played like this. Keep up the great work!
Incredible as always! I love knowing more about how you make all those sounds in this video, with the little labels popping out! I'm really curious about it, so this is great! Thanks for your work, I really hope your channel blows up, you deserve it!
Thank you so much for your kind comment! Great to hear you like the call outs. Maybe I‘ll someday do a more in depth behind the scenes of how all the sounds are being made..🤔
Wow, I’m stunned by so many things. The different sounds you created and techniques, the arrangement and how it all fits so well together, the mix, and on top of that the video is beautifully shot and edited! I can’t even imagine how much time went into this. Absolutely brilliant!
Breathtaking... It's crazy how similar this is to the film score! I look forward to your uploads more than most other channels on here. Might I suggest the Kraken? I'd love to see you handle something with a fast pace like that!
It’s honestly beautiful what you guys achieve on just a single piano. I’m definitely subscribing to hopefully see more in the future. Don’t ever stop what you do, because there really is nothing like this channel.
Guys I love all of your videos. It is such a pleasure for me to discover your channel. I was wondering if you could make some of the soundtracks from Ori and the will of the wisp. The game has so many epic soundtracks, mainly boss fight theme. Anyway it is just my recommendation because most of the cover you made are my most favourite piece of all time! You deserve more subscribes and views!
I feel like cutting divots out of the wood cylinder would have been acceptable and allowed a more melodic hit. You could probably do 3 sets of divots across the cylinder so you could rotate it and do a different chord.
How lucky to be born with 19 extra hands.
Indeed!😂

Just a natural progression from the 12-fingered pianist in Gattaca; this song can only be played by a 21-handed pianist.

He shared this on his personal Facebook page so he knows about this performance. :D

No sir, these are hands, not nuts
@@osasunaitor Sorry, I didn’t know, I have terrible vision and sometimes mistake things for nuts 😂

I love how only one hand is actually on the piano keys
Using the keys is so 19th century… ;)
That guy was a weirdo; who let him them in anyways?

You are incredible. You don't just play the piano, you PLAY the PIANO

How you manage to create this sound world and pull us in with just one piano and one man is fantastic!
Thank you Michael! Always nice to read your comments. I‘m looking forward to seeing how your channel develops😊

This seems like a channel with a few hundred thousand subs, not a few thousand. Where is everyone at?
I love extended piano techniques!
So do I😁
2:57 "Playing the keys like a normal person" thank you for clarifying this
When it hits at 2:40.....INCREDIBLE 🤩🤩🤩
Edit: Omg the clave on the bass strings is GENIUS!!
This is one of the most innovative and creative ways I've ever seen an acoustic instrument played before. Please keep doing this. Absolutely stunning
Thank you so much for your kind words, I will!
Interesting how little “playing like a normal person” there was! 😂. Very good 👍
Yeah the keys play a marginal role in this one😅😅
Thank you!

You should consider arranging the Olympic Fanfare and Theme by John Williams seeing as the Olympics are coming up.
Thats a great idea, thank you! It could be quite the challenge to get all that brass to sound good though🤔

It is indeed, albeit slightly modified to work better on piano!
I thought this was a million view video but less than 10K ? We need to change that

I wonder how u produce this: Are there really playing many people simultaneously or is this all you cutted together?
It‘s all just me.
You can tell by the bracelets! :)
I would love to know how you recorded this? What combination of microphones and positioning did you make use of?
I‘m honestly not an expert in that regard. I use two Oktava MK-012‘s placed in the opening of the lid for pretty much everything.
that worked remarkably well :)
Please play the main theme from Crysis 2 composed by Hans Zimmer pls!!!!!!!!
