what an experience this video is Nettie. So beautiful. Thank you for making it. I have only recently discovered the anthrotype process. It fascinates me, and is just SO me. I shall definitely be weaving this technique into my art process at some point in the near future. Thanks again :O)
@@londonaltphoto That's not very encouraging. Photography was only succesfully started when Herschel suggested hypo as fixer. He did not say never mind, its ephemereal.
@@Foxglove963 The impermanence and ephemeral nature of anthotypes is a cuddly, misinformed myth. In Austin, Texas you can see anthotypes made by Herschel in the 1840s. They look fine. The key to preserving them is simple: keep them out of bright, direct light. That, of course, applies to *any* photographic image or Artwork, whether it was created by Anna Atkins, Ansel Adams, or Rembrandt. 😸
This is a fantastic video Nettie!! XO

Hermosa técnica!!! Voy a experimentar con este proceso fotográfico Muchas gracias...!!!
Would an application of cold wax preserve the prints?
Love this!
This is great!
I am trying this at the moment! I'm going to upload a video about it on my TH-cam channel dedicated to film photography!
HI! I'm absolutely in love with this process! My only concern is preservation. Do you have any suggestions?
Hi Margarita, we think it is best to embrace the ephemerality of this process. It is part of it's beauty.
