    Would be nice to cut a print in half and keep one as a control and tone the other to show the difference.

    Does anyone what is the difference between this process and adding Hydrogen Peroxide? Do they do the same thing can you use just one process or both Hydrogen Peroxide and baking soda? Thanks.

      The peroxide changes the blue to a nice richer shade of blue. I watched this in another tutorial …..the reaction affect works instantly! Looks awesome too!

      Good question! Washing soda is what I use to prepare a cyanotype for toning. The method in THIS video is so odd and quick - the finished print doesn't look as if much has changed. A toning tutorial which shows a more dramatic effect is here: th-cam.com/video/xjQjFX-XBrU/w-d-xo.html
