ford 5.4l 3v codes p0012 p0022 doe to bad cam phasers and other correlation or timing over codes, dont replace cam position sensors because it will not work, for after timing chain and cam phasers if you want to fix the problem.

I've got one with 70k 2005 5.4 3 valve, and having problems. It scanned for VVT sensors. But like this video..I'm probably going to have to rebuild the timing. I was told go with OEM VVT sensors and gaskets. Now I've been told multiple times, do not buy a cheap timing kit. To purchase OEM or JEGS. I'm going to get the JEGS because of the heavy duty Mellings oil pump. Ay advice, tricks of the trade, would be appreciated.
I grew up in a garage, but sold when my father had a stroke, and having dementia. We had always had a plan when he retired to build a hot rod. He had 55' and 57 Belairs. His father, my grandfather owned a transmission shop, so cars are in my blood. He sold his cars when I was born in 74'. This was his last truck before the stroke, so it's hard to part with. I have all the tools, all the roll around, air tools, you name it. I have no where to work on it but in my drive way...so and suggestions from viewers, or channel would be greatly appreciated ✌️

hi and thanks for watching, absolutely true, any other than OEM will not work, you will end up redoing the job again, use small tools at the end of the valve covers sinse there is no space, I hold the camshafts with vise grip (put rags on vise grip so you dont damage the cams) so they dont turn.

I can see from the cam lobes you are not in perfect time there is a reason you remove all the followers also This may seem smarter and faster but your not doing a good job for a customer and your screwing up the cam with those vise grips

Wrong, almost 2 years now n truck is driving perfectly, if not on time you get correlation codes, cam sensor code, time over codes.
