In tabletop the Tau jetpacks aren't normally used for moving up, but for escaping those pesky close combat units. (When you have a ranged squad you should normally have some way to avoid close quarters, unless you play Space Marines or Chaos Space Marines, who can just can the close combat hits.)
@Redrik666 he used a toy truck and if i remember he painted it with some ork themed decals, i think his army was themed after the bad moons so he probably drew their emblem, some red, and some checker patterns. i don't remember much else, i let the proxy slide since it wouldn't last past turn 2 anyway, chaos havocs + lascannons = a field of vehicle pieces and some corpses.
Would you prefer most of your combat done at: Long range: Tau Fire Warriors/Crisis Battle Suits and vehicles Medium to long range: Imperial Guard Closer Range: Tau Kroot with tanks It also depends on whether you actually like the race or not. I sometimes hate how Chaos Space Marines play, but I love the lore and appearances so much I still play them.
@Ophiguris lol i see, and just to clarify for everyone, i by no means am a great or good model builder i've only done one conversion and it was by pure luck because i was missing a bolder so i used chaos possessed parts and got lucky with painting, i'll even upload prof if people wish.
Yeah, me and some mates played Orks vs. Imperium, 5000 on each side and it took around 10 hours in total (spread over a weekend). So this would've taken a lot longer
Haters are forgetting something. We are the ones going out and socializing with other people whilst they are sitting in front of the computer hating on other people for their own enjoyment.
@Falleen01 I have noticed that in so many Apocalypse games, seems like I'm an outcast lol. I usually team up with SM or Eldar for their Walker Titans, while my air support (A-X-10) and Barracudas wreak havoc. I have a whole legion of battlesuits for deep striking, and the enemies face is so awesome when I drop them on the board along with Hammaerheads and Fire warriors cutting enemies down.
Depends what titan. a Warhound scout titan is 750 points, a reaver 2500, i don't know how many points a warlord is, and the imperator titan (the biggest) is 4000
i get the feeling it's a homemade impirator titan, i say homemade because there isn't an actual model of it due to the fact it keeps collapsing under it's own weight
Well the main reason I have the whole investment in the Tabletop game is the fact of the painting (I got multiple A* thanks to my models and stuff.) Also its a very social and not very Competitive game (Unless you want it to be) Although I just play with my Son and Brothers. Its fun! You should try making a small starter army.
Agreed. GW pretty much said "Here are the races and stuff....*points at picture of emperor* This guy is important to those guys *points to Space Marines* and these guys *points to Chaos* hate this guy *points to emperor* Have fun"
Very very cool! Where are you guyz based ouf of? My gaming group (So Cal Crusaders) and I run Mega-Apocalypse Events out in our area, Southern California, but we've been interested in doing some traveling to join other groups for some fun!
Who said cool and sexy are interchangeable? All that matters is you're having fun. Girls do play this game too, and if someone meets a girl at a place like apocalypticon, then they already have something in common that they both enjoy which is a great foot to start on.
250,000 points, but Im curious, what was the total dollar amount for all those minis? LOL. Looking forward to seeing how this one works out. I really should get back to work painting........
@Redrik666 yea the rest of the match ended with me holding 3 of the 5 objectives and half his army ether dead or fleeing, his HQ was locked in a fight with Abbadon so he was done for, the rest of his units weren't troops so he couldn't win unless he killed all my infantry which were almost all Khorne Berzerkers. the rest of my army was a land raider i built for Abbadon and his terminator squad (4 guys) a Daemon prince, and a defiler the game was 2500 points.
Apocalypse is pretty much an entirely different game. It has it's own rule-book, game books, everything. Personally, I know what you mean, but having seen these games in person nothing looks more cool and bad-ass then 3 Imperator Class Titans and pretty much 5 dozen massive tanks accompanied by hundreds of Guardsmen facing down a thousand or so orks. It's just aweing to an extent.
Hmmm... Kroot are always useful but you could just as easily destroy melee units at range. I would suggest one or two Kroot squads, but the majority of your army should be ranged combatants (it's what the Tau are known for!)
@mastercheefinhalo Its funny, people don't like playing as them, but even our basic vehicles have the strongest non apoc damage in the game. You'd think more people would use them as titan hunters.
I hope one day, relic makes a Dawn of war title that allows players to play out epic fights with Titans and Daemon lords with all manners of special maps and units. How do you ask they could do this???! The future loyal games workshop fans will arrive soon :D
Oh wow. That is tragic. My appologies! I never would have guessed you'd graduated highschool from the content of your posts. Don't worry though! One day, if you're lucky and really knuckle down, I'm sure that even someone like you can attain some sort of semblance of maturity! God speed, you brave, ignorant soul! God speed!
Main army is blood angels then i also have some orcs and necrons but not at 1500 points Im going to save up to get more drop pods and dreads and infantry to be able to utilise drop pod assault properly (Have 15 pods go to battle 15 in reserve XD)
Yes but there would be whole chapters of Adeptus Astartes fighting. Space Marines are not considered expendable by the Inquisition. Whereas the Imperial Guard can be wasted.

Five bucks says Dave locked his keys in his van on that first shot.
gotta love the homemade titans look real cool against legit ones hehe lol
I'm glad there are people like you out there to make us all aware of our shortcomings
In the words of Colonel Volgin from Metal Gear Solid 3
"This is a once in a lifetime battle. Let's make it a good one!"
6:16 whoever built that Emperor-class titan is a true hero
That was very cool of THQ to invite y'all. I enjoyed the footage.
@huntercd That's next year.
wow... Simply... wow... I have never seen something that awesome! Turn 3 Please!!! :D
@Redrik666 he used a toy truck and if i remember he painted it with some ork themed decals, i think his army was themed after the bad moons so he probably drew their emblem, some red, and some checker patterns. i don't remember much else, i let the proxy slide since it wouldn't last past turn 2 anyway, chaos havocs + lascannons = a field of vehicle pieces and some corpses.

daves will never be clinically insane...he's a danger to society and himself
i love seeing 3 stompas not even get close to the height of the ankle of that titan
I just nerded all over the floor. I also threw a hissy fit about how all of the good events are held in America, and not Australia.
@Ophiguris lol i see, and just to clarify for everyone, i by no means am a great or good model builder i've only done one conversion and it was by pure luck because i was missing a bolder so i used chaos possessed parts and got lucky with painting, i'll even upload prof if people wish.
Yes, normally games aren't quite this large but apocalypse was designed for truly massive conflicts.
Yeah, me and some mates played Orks vs. Imperium, 5000 on each side and it took around 10 hours in total (spread over a weekend). So this would've taken a lot longer
he's not insane, he's an normal as anyone who drives a van 60 miles an hour trying to park in a crowded lot
That Eldar Titan is beautiful... and I never though I'd ever say those words.
Haters are forgetting something. We are the ones going out and socializing with other people whilst they are sitting in front of the computer hating on other people for their own enjoyment.
OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS SINCE I HEARD THE ANNOUNCMENT IM SOO EXCITED!!!
@Falleen01 I have noticed that in so many Apocalypse games, seems like I'm an outcast lol. It feels good to see how many people have the imperial Guard.
"For the Emperor"
i love how these games are pretty much marines vs non marines
Absolute Genius, I love you guys!!!
Depends what titan. a Warhound scout titan is 750 points, a reaver 2500, i don't know how many points a warlord is, and the imperator titan (the biggest) is 4000
I just broke 1000 point son my first 40k army, I have a feeling it might take a while to do one of these.
Loved the Legios Tempestus titans at 4:54
0:00 to 0:27 is the best intro in war gaming history.
@Redrik666 yea there is one guy i played a while ago who subbed a toy truck for an ork Trukk
MiniWarGaming is actually in Canada, not the US. Unfortunately, not any closer to you, I imagine.
i get the feeling it's a homemade impirator titan, i say homemade because there isn't an actual model of it due to the fact it keeps collapsing under it's own weight

isn't this just a bunch of 1v1 games strung together ?
Apocalypse rules and they are so many that they focus fire. But you can fire on what you want except your allies.
@Saberblade152 "Paint it red and it'll work" - Some smart Ork
I managed to paint a total of ONE green army man...and it took me like an hour...
...first time practice, but it was pretty fun painting it lol
Agreed. GW pretty much said "Here are the races and stuff....*points at picture of emperor* This guy is important to those guys *points to Space Marines* and these guys *points to Chaos* hate this guy *points to emperor* Have fun"
@Saberblade152 that would be fine if he put a bunch of bits glued to it and maybe an ork on it did he do anything or just use a stupid little truck?
you guys should do a 1'000'000 point game i WOULD PAY TO SEE THAT
4:53 did "Blue table painting" painted those? they look familiar
Death strike missles would be so lulzy in this set up
"ima target...................
that guy on the other side of the room"
I think I saw the titans at 4:53 several times on the blue table painting channel. Does anyone recognises them aswell?
@ANGRYMAPLE don't forget the ork who said red makes it go faster, ork science at it's finest right there.
love the beginning of this!
There aren't any rules for emperor titans but that doesn't mean that you can't make an awesome conversion for one!
The Eldars Wraith Knight gets pretty close... and makes me wonder if the rest of the 6th ed armies will get a proto titan.
Very very cool! Where are you guyz based ouf of? My gaming group (So Cal Crusaders) and I run Mega-Apocalypse Events out in our area, Southern California, but we've been interested in doing some traveling to join other groups for some fun!

I´m not sure i want to know how much money worth of models are on those tables.
Some titans and super heavies are scratch built plus not every model will be paid for at their GW price
when and where is this and is there any good gaming areas in or close st.petersburg FL

Apocalypse games: The one thing that can make a Baneblade look small.
you all must be superheroes because you all are moving fast
What a way to keep Games Workshop in business.
@Saberblade152 proxies are fine... when they actually look like what they are supposed to be...
Sees 2 titans on a table says "damn that other guy is screwed"
The Ork tech division must have had some budget cuts, seeing that cardboard stompa was just to much.
I have seen cardboard Gargant that were looking better than a GW official one. Its not with what it was made but how good it was done.
4:53 are the 3 titans BTP painted up... amazing see them in action :O
I'm crying I'm so happy.
His face turns red when he freaks out on matt
the tank with the lights is awesome
Hmmm... Kroot are always useful but you could just as easily destroy melee units at range. I would suggest one or two Kroot squads, but the majority of your army should be ranged combatants (it's what the Tau are known for!)
umm are we allowed to use scratchbuild models because i see lots of cardbord stompas and warlords
@mastercheefinhalo Its funny, people don't like playing as them, but even our basic vehicles have the strongest non apoc damage in the game. You'd think more people would use them as titan hunters.
How many players - what were the races played / how many players of each race?
I love the Imperator class titan's sheer massiveness =D
The really big titans, are they emperor class titans?
I hope one day, relic makes a Dawn of war title that allows players to play out epic fights with Titans and Daemon lords with all manners of special maps and units. How do you ask they could do this???! The future loyal games workshop fans will arrive soon :D
What army were those yanks from at 5:05
Imperial Guard/Astra Militarum Baneblade and Shadowsword super heavy tanks.
God speed!
The point of view shots were most epic.
Sweet parking job bro!
this looks pretty sick for the 40k fans
You got him OWNED!
I'm not too sure, I suggest you get the new Tau Codex, that'll have all the information you need...
1 army of that much models could cost about £/$500+, imagine the amount all those armys would cost o.o
Are the really big Titans Warlords or Imperators?
Main army is blood angels then i also have some orcs and necrons but not at 1500 points Im going to save up to get more drop pods and dreads and infantry to be able to utilise drop pod assault properly (Have 15 pods go to battle 15 in reserve XD)
Man,Dave entered a khorne berserker rage.
What are those really big figures?
Yes but there would be whole chapters of Adeptus Astartes fighting. Space Marines are not considered expendable by the Inquisition. Whereas the Imperial Guard can be wasted.
ok now where the hell do i get one of those titans
haha loved the intro
.....aww wish i didnt live in UK, wish i lived near you guys, then i could come......
Can somebody tell me, how much all that stuff would cost? Not exactly, I only need something to speculate!
now were is the tau manta
Dave pulled in at the beginning a little too crazily...
@Arhejar I Think that's a Warlord-class not Emperor
I wasn't aware there was an age limit to have fun
definitely saw the blue table painting painted titans :D
Guess I'm not the only one who is noticing the Epic Meal Time song
All depends on how you would like to play the game.
how do u fight if the entire board is covered?????
This.Is.EPIC.WARHAMMER 40,000.BATTLE!
khorne would be so proud of you guys.
2 people think dave isn't clinically insane
Dave drives a mini van?
One can only hope. Always willing to get more monstrous 'Nids to play with. :p
