Thank you, such a fun game can't wait to watch the hellsreach campaign. I've been a longtime fan and love the way the channel is heading and to whomever is reading this have a great day!
For ages, I was interested in this hobby but just couldn't sit through a two-hour report without getting bored. Your tightly-edited videos have gotten me into this hobby, and this format maximizes everything I love about this game. I can't wait for more 40k Feature on Play on Tabletop!
I used to play all the time but quit 10 years ago. I still like watching it though. If you want to play and don't want a battle to last hours I would suggest going with the "40k in 40 minutes" rules. You can play a game pretty dang quick and its really fun, towards the end of of my playing that's the rules I was using majority of the time.
@@JimJones-ur3el Gaz getting a swipe at Yarrick as he goes down and bringing him within a dice roll of his life was the most narratively appropriate outcome for those two. Edge of my seat the whole time. I read a lot about Armageddon when I first started looking at 40k in 3rd and 4th edition, so this was a treat to watch.
As much as I love the head to head huge army vs huge army, I'd love to see some bigger tables and greater terrain variety for these narrative/apocalypse games where the units have space to move around and make interesting plays
Yeah, that's pretty sad. Something that should be epic and exciting is a boring dice rolling exercise where players themselves are hardly even necessary. That's WH40K, sadly :(
You guys have literally broken all other 40k games on TH-cam for me. The production value and effort you put in is godly for a few blokes throwing dice!
The production value here is INSANE! I haven't played 40k in years and I don't plan to start again any time soon, but your videos are always an amazing reminder of how great this community is. Bravo!
It really feels like the table is too small for the scale of battle you guys are going for here. It's really unfortunate that you don't have more space! Still, a fun battle overall.
It'd be great if at the end of the editing process, the editor could compile all the special effects parts like lasers firing. It'd look like a short animation of the action, and the destroyed units would be removed in rapid real-time. I know that's way more work but I'd love to see it!
The visuals to show what units were lost/remaining at the end of each phase is such an ingenious inclusion! Please keep it around even for normal-sized batreps!
That was a delight! I really, really enjoyed the design of the scenario, the to-and-fro, and just the cinematic quality of the battle - the Warlord turning up and melting Jerry was a real 'here come the cavalry' moment.
This was cool, imagine if the Guard had a Codex. God between Tau, Genestealers, and Guard getting their codex later this year I think this is the year of Nick.
@@alanndeleau5085 Sadly true. Maybe Guard will get their 9E Codex after the Squats. And World Eaters. But it's gotta come out sometime before 10th Edition, right?
Loved the episode of two massive armies clashing. The enthusiasm of Nick and James is contagious, while Tycho narrates is amazing. Keep doing what you guys are doing, it's so much fun watching.
Wow, this was AWESOME! I've always enjoyed the channel for the faster style of editing you all do, and the kick-ass battles like this! I'd love to see more of this sort of thing, perhaps Genestealers fighting Custodes under Terra, or Mechanicus defending a research site on a Necron Tomb World, or Eldar assaulting a Chaos portal to try and shut it down. Or Tyranids rushing the Squat homeworlds, I'd love to see that :P In any case, rock on, you guys have inspired me to get my marines out there and I can't wait to see what else you come up with!
I mean I love Nick, but his Target priority was way off. I think it could have gone a lot better. Not to mention it probably would have been better to bring in the Templar during a different phase
I just love the idea of the Warlord Titan showing up, the priceps looking at Jerry and beeing like... "Yeah that's in insult to the Omnisiah, Moderati, I don't want to see that any longer"
As a person who is really new to Warhammer, seeing a game so well put together, in such an epic scale like this, it's a really great format. If this is just a pilot episode, I'd love to see more.

Wow, that was amazing! Such a good narrative! And it had great epic moments! Massive Stompa, the huge Warlord Titan entering the fray, and yet, great job making it all about the characters in the end.
Kinda wish you would have had Finlay Craig play his own army here, with maybe Nick controlling the Black Templars and the Titan. A great battle report nonetheless, with fantastic production quality as always.

It's battles like this that prove how ridiculous 28mm scale is when it comes to EPIC massive battles. This devolved into who had the best lucky rolls. There was no strategy when it came to maneuvering, flanking etc. Look at how those tanks were clumped and how stupid the board looked. GW even gave Titans which are REAPER sized monstrosities from mass effect and gave them the Tyrion Lannister treatment so they could fit into a 28mm Tabletop which they have no business being in. If Titans were true scaled to their original lore, only a big giant Warlord FOOT would cover that damn board. EPIC 40K was the VERY BEST game Games Workshop ever made. 28mm scale is good for small skirmishes and that's it. The most massive battles with the biggest, baddest, most destructive units and weapons in the 40k universe belong to EPIC 40K. GW BRING BACK A NEW EPIC40K OFFICIALLY and anchor it at 3mm scale which would perfectly fit the scale of the Adeptus Titanicus models that are out now and put an end to the madness that just transpired in this vid.
