The plot is a boot strap paradox, where Bayonetta 1 leads into Bayonetta 2, but the story of Bayonetta 2 loops back to Bayonetta 1
I love me my prequel sequel
Looking forward to finding out that every single witch in that fight sequence falling down the cliff is actually Bayonetta from different points in her timeline.
Wow!!! I consider myself a good Bayonetta 2 player, but this amount of technique and memorization is brilliant, all while commentating in a pretty entertaining manner. Respect. I need to sub to that dude.
Runner might want to look into some breathing techniques for public speaking, they're very helpful for helping you slow down your speech when you tend to rush, especially when you're multitasking like he is here. I learned a few a year ago that really helped me pace my thoughts when DMing. He's got really good insightful commentary, he just needs to breathe and conduct his thoughts a bit better.
Also Bayo 3 hype!!!
I feel like he has his headset way too loud, shouting over the volume. I think it caused him to ignore the couch by mistake a couple times lol
To be fair, this game does seem to be a fast paced one, but you do have a point.
Edit: Also this might be his first time at an Event as big as this one.

This is like the ideal arcade game.
I played the first bayonetta to full completion, read the art book in full, watched an entire LP of bayo 2 (because I don't have a switch), replayed bayonetta 1 on the PC again to full completion, watched the eyes of bayonetta documentary, watched Kamiya's LP of Bayo (which is excellent)... and I *just about* get the overall plot. It's basically a paradox whereby the actual bad guy (called... Aesir? And I think he has split in two hence the annoying kid?) takes over Baldur (who basically self sacrifices himself at the end of 2) at the end of the second game and sends that Baldur back in time to kick off the events of Bayonetta 1 which kinda makes no sense because you already beat Aesir/Baldur in the first game, but that Baldur was from the future, even though you go back into the past and... wait come back!
Yeah, Bayo 1 + 2 is a timeloop.
@MulletR1de Dang, Bayo 3? I really hope they port 2 (and 3) to PC (and others) like they did with Bayo 1. Its PC port and DMC's resurgence should be prove enough for success. A switch for 1 or 2 games is a hard sale personally.

I played through this game when it came out. I remember doing that. How did I forget Bayonetta 2 had a mech ?
you can actually skip the walk and talk "cutscenes" by pressing b multiple times, each time you press the button one voice line is skipped
I think you have to beat the game first in order to do that.
@@GrimmFokko i think he was skipping cutscenes with ZR + Plus buttons which you can also only do after beating the game

I'm surprised the optimal weapon isn't Salamandra. It seems to be the faster weapon for me, but then I'm not a speedrunner.
It is a certain talent to play this game and still talk this much

How is he skipping the cutscenes without the pause menu popping up?
If your press select + right trigger in Bayonetta 1 & 2, it lets you do skip the cutscene straighaway.

The story really isnt complicated so I don't get why they always act like it is.
I have never liked the gameplay of Bayonetta. The only expression of skill it has is if you can time your dodges properly. It feels stale. Ideally you want to spam the highest damage possible everytime. DMC at least makes an effort to incentivize using different movesets by having an actual style system. And there's too many goddamn gimmick levels.
