Can you use other maps apk from your androide except google maps, meanwhile using maps same time is it possible to hear music from another sourse?

Thats correct. So I decide to replace old screen for a new one car system with Android 9 for $300. And all works.
If u don't plug in can u still make get phone calls via Bluetooth? How about getting responding to texts?
Anyone knows if the USB in the armrest compartment can be used for Android auto or do you have to use the USB in front of the gear selector?

Yes, its depend from sales area. I bought it in 2017.

Everything looks nice exept the fact I'd like to choose to charge the phone or not when connected.
The bad thing is that you have to connect the phone by cable every time. I hope they will make it working via Bluetooth (or wifi).
That's annoying because the socket is a TEENSY big smaller than the end of the cable! It took brute force but it snapped in. I don't know why they didn't measure the stupid socket correctly.
just keep the usb cable plugged in and just unplug the end of your phone, then you dont have to mess with the socket so much. ;) you never wanna use brute force on any electronic parts. hehe

Hi, I have a golf gti 2019 I been trying to save my favorite contacts on the screen but it doesn't work everytime I'm going to drive and trying to find them I found out that they are erased for some reason is there anything I have to do to keep it there? Also my bluetooth doesn't connect automatic everytime I get in the car I have to try to pair it which is weird because when I get my car it was working perfectly fine is there anything o can do to make it work?

Correct. With android auto you no longer need to pay for ridiculous nav packages.
Aaron Gallimore that's right, and thanks for the compliment. You can now have nav in the car without having to buy a car with nav.

Hello! I have a 2017 vw jetta, when I connect to Bluetooth or Android auto and I try to make a call, Google doesn't hear me. Also when I answer a call, the caller doesn't hear me... do you know why that may be? Not only my phone, but other's phone aswell.
Dee Maya, that's probably worth getting checked out by your dealership's service department - there could be a problem with the car and its ability to pick up your voice.
