Getting used to my new Daiwa Salamandura Air TW with the Roro Lure TX25S spool! Casting this 1/32nd oz Jig with the @eurotackle EPF Grub using 0 brakes and relying solely on my thumb! Learn how to setup your BFS baitcasting reel via this video here:

The Tsurinoya Dragon C602UL so far have been an Amazing rod to sling light lures on a BFS reel. The US market is currently lacking on BFS rods, but no worries, @baitfinesseempire have many different options and more Tsurinoya rods will be arriving soon for restocking!
🎣
Lets not forget to always use PREMIUM PE line when UL fishing. The thinner the braid, the easier it can break. So if you are trying to catch fish using thin lines, use the best! Get Varivas! I use their Varivas 4 PE #0.6 for the majority of my BFS fishing!

Nice to see someone finally using a baitcaster for ultra light techniques been doing this for years.

How does a bait caster throw something that tiny? Light line? Special reel?
@@Riddlemethisgaming a bfs reel has a lighter spool with less rotational inertia and a spool upgrade can allow farther cast with even lighter baits light line also helps I typically use 6-8lb test.
Very happy to see this baitcasting reel... but this reel is not coming to my country at the moment
I have a couple of Tatula's and love those reels !
Daiwa reels are sweet !
Daiwa have been my favorite for the past 4 years.

Those reels are some of the best. I’ve liked mine for over 4 years now. I’ve started using baitcasters for 4 years and Tatulas and Daiqa are awesome reels.
Daiwa make amazing reels. But this is a new one
sometimes for really light lures less brakes is better to prevent backlash bc with heavy brakes on it messes with the casting dynamics
It only applies when ur spool is too heavy or you have bearings that doesn't start up well with light lures. So reducing brakes can and tension knob will help. Some Bfs reels got really light spools
@@rawrfishing thats interesting my light lure bait caster is an old blackmax lol so yeah it does have a heavy spool
That's one certainly have a heavy spool. But do know that it also have a lot of aftermarket shallow and light spools available on the market so you can swap out and cast lighter lures
😂
nice reel bud. i love the color
It is nice indeed :)
I was throwing a grub the same size literally yesterday and went the same distance on a spinning reel, except my rod was practically a bull whip 😂
There are way more benefits using a BC reel. If you can't get further distance than a BC reel using a spinning, then there's really no other reason to be an advocate for spinning. Bc reels are lighter, more efficient, more accurate and you can text and reel at the same time... Can't do that with a spinning reel!
@rawrfishing Thats right. I have a few but just decided to use a spinning reel yesterday lol and didn't plan on using a Grubb until i randomly found one.
Grubs are cheap and works pretty good
@@rawrfishinghow would texting and reeling work any different? Do you mean text and cast? I wouldnt wanna be on my phone while fishing.

Man that’s reel nice
It sure is. But most daiwa reels are! The ones with the zero adjuster tension knob, all u do is put it at brake 10 out of 20 right out of the box and it works! No need to adjust tension. Great for beginners and allow one to practice Learning to thumb!
@@rawrfishing wow that’s great because I have yet to use a baitcaster and have seen so many videos of backlash so I’ve held off getting one
Get a Daiwa! Maybe a Tatula SV TW 103 as it's a nice all rounder
Yessir that’s awesome. How much is a reel just like the one you’ve got? And where can I get one?
The reel is available at Www.baitfinesseempire.com. Perhaps the aftermarket spool will be as well too soon
I only need to look at these things and they start to bird's nest on me
It can happen for some lol.
I feel like they're not quite as ultralight as a spinning setup
They are different.. But if u wanna compare like that.. Spinning isn't Ultralight like fly fishing...
Watch me do Thumb-less on my spinning reel. It will cast further than that. 😆 🤣
True, but u couldn't do 1 hand casting and filming yourself like this lol
Not everyone likes an egg beater hanging off their rod bud
@peterlee1338 Cool, man. I'd like to watch you count past two.
I'm sorry. Did my comment offend you. If it did then I'm sorry. But 2 seconds count with one handed. Bruh mission accepted and mission successfully done it many times.
Nice. I don’t use bait casters but I’m sure that took some practice

I could triple that with a 2 gram lure on my spin rod

My thumbing skills are great but i can't cast a baitcater to save my life
Proper knowledge, proper setup and practice makes perfect! Daiwa reels are easy, especially ones with the zero adjuster tension knob. Out of the box pre tuned so u don't need to touch it. Just use the brake Dials and set it to 60 percent. No thumb a needed. Back down the brakes as u train your thumb to Feather and stop the spool at the beginning of a cast, mid cast and to stop completely at the end of the cast,
Bro ur the man what size libe are u using on that baitcaster..?
Thx! I have about 125 feet of #0.6 diameter line. That is about 10 lbs!

I’m zero tumb, 100% Daiwa engineers. And it’s working for me! My untrained tumb is only there if thing goes wrong and I have to intervene to suddenly stop disaster. So yea, kudos to you because I really can’t do what you just did (and honestly I’m not even dreaming of doing this). But relying solely on the mechanics of the reel, I MUST have a great reel. After trying both Shimano and Daiwa, I can confidently say that Daiwa’s reel are the most reliable for people me.
Daiwa is amazing. The way it can be configured so easily to fit everyone skill level makes it number 1
Fully agree. The easiest reel to use. Period.

Lighter the bait, less break needed.
Perhaps, but There's more moving pieces than just the weight of the lure. You need to consider the lure bulkiness, spool size, bearing size and rod specs. If you noticed, I also controlled my casting power as I am familiar with my setup and also the lure I am throwing.
@@rawrfishing true 100% not hating, that is impressive , I throw the SK speed shad (super light spinner bait type lure) on my lews an I can do it, but it's meant for my spinning rod for sure.
Oh no worries. I didn't see it as a hate comment or anything like that lol. I bet ya I can throw it on my bfs setup

Lol.
How is salamnda bfs compare to Aldebaran
That guy is funny... He clearly don't know what I do as a hobby lol. I like the Salamandura air tw. If we are comparing the Aldebaran 22, I didn't like the 22 due to inconsistency in braking, but the ccbfs23 was flawless. So I might had a bad one. But if we say the ccbfs23 is same as a perfectly working Aldebaran BFS 22, then the alde is better for lighter lures for stock and satw would be better for heavier due to the larger spool and heavier. I will be testing heavier lures soon
You just learned and your already giving out tips??😂
Barry Kripke fishes?
Dunno who that is
Any advice for for West Coast Spinning reel fisherman?
Change over to bfs? Wink wink lol
I actually don't know much of west coast fishery other than that some folks fish those deep reservoirs from the banks and need distance. With that said... Spinning would be better, but I don't do much of that as budget setups seems to create line twists for light lures 😕
But if you got questions about Bait finesse and want to use BFS reels for lures between 1 to 12 grams and rods between UL to ML, I got way more knowledge and experience here lol
My advice: don’t believe the hype unless you got money to burn. BFS is cool and all and it has its applications but it’s not the end all be all for ultra light fishing. Spinning rod is still superior in most situations. I use my BFS when I need to be extremely accurate with the really light lures that I’m casting over and over. It’s like anything else: another tool in the toolbox.
it's mainly the rod
In correct. You need everything to work together.. But let's use your logic..
I will say u have this UL rod, but you use a size 150 baitcasting reel with 50 lb mono filled to the top. Not going to cast

What line is this an it is possible to cast small baits but guessing not for every baitcaster tho
Varivas 4 PE 0.6 gou diameter. It's definitely more of the reel.. Specially the spool and bearing. But lines does play a role. Watch my full videos on different BFS reels that I portray to learn more
@raWr Fishing OK you lost me but OK sir dk what size line it but I'll check out your other videos an go from there
Here is an excellent read about line diameters and how they are measured and compared among other lines. We simply can't compare 6 lb test line from brand to brand as everyone makes interesting decisions when rating their own line. Much of the American lines underrate their lines. For example, kastking will say their 12lb line is rated 8lbs. This will for sure hold up 8 lbs and for sure 12 as that is where I would normally break. But the downside for doing this is that it is too thick. This would make Japanese 8lb line weak as it will most likely break at 8lbs as advertised.. But their line is thin.. As it is accurately rated. Give this article a Read www.varivas.fishing/japanese-fishing-line-size/
@raWr Fishing thanks for the lesson you have a new sub now continue to post and drop tight lines 💯
U Bet, I will always help folks for those who are looking to learn!
Hey, I commented on another video of yours for a left-hand retrieve. Do you have any combos that are under $350 dollars, Mabey?
Plenty! Tsurinoya rods are very well built for the price. Probably the most reliable and best bang for the buck! Check their rods out as Most of them are less than 100 USD. Reels.. Plenty too, but I dunno how the pricing is to ship to your area. All reels I have gotten have left hand retrieve models. Slx bfs is a good starting point. But I think u will need to let us know about the weight ranges u intend to throw for me it better recommend rods and reels!
@@rawrfishing all I need is line 10kg max and cast weight of 4kgs
Ehh... Do u mean 4 gram lure? Cuz 4kg is a lot different lol
@rawrfishing yeah, I meant 4g
If you have access to Aliexpress, you can get a L or ML rod pretty easy and cheap. Many like Tsurinoya are industry standard, using toray blanks. I would buy a Japanese reel from. Digitaka since YEN is down. You can easily get a combo less than 350 USD. Try the Daiwa Alphas SV TW 800S for the reel. For rods, check Tsurinoya out on Aliexpress.
Can someone explain the thing about these tiny lures and why they are obsessed with bfs rod n reels.
Ppl simply take the Pros and cons of spinning VS Bfs reels, then weigh the score and choose. I have chosen bfs. Bfs is essentially finesse bc reels... Something that is growing in the fishing market. The pros Of BC reel always outweighs the cons!

Something that sucks in the marketing portion of many fishing products is that they don't help you pair up rods and reels. the ones they sell via combos are usually close, but those are usually not good quality stuff that I like. any how, let's see what we can do for you.

Yep. Daiwa reels with the zero tension adjuster knob are great. Out of the box, all u do is use the brake dial. Allows beginners to train their thumbs easily
Or you could just get a spinning reel
No thx. They are heavy, low accuracy, distance doesn't even go far as ppl proclaim for light lures, which makes it super inefficient to keep opening a closing the bail to try to reduce line twist, which doesn't work when u fish light lures on slack line. It's 2023, just learn how to use a BC reel or just move on! And why did u like ur own comment?

Lol yeah because you have zero line on that reel
Although having the correct amount of line is key to keeping the spool light, there are many other factors. How about you give me at least 5 more reasons?
It has nothing to do with thumbing it’s just the reel your using
Oh really?
@@rawrfishing yes dude dont lie. You cant do that with a regular reel and a lure double the size
First off... It have everything to do with my thumbing as I turned the brakes to minimum.
Second this reel is a normal reel. There's nothing special about it. It's just made for throwing lighter lures...
For heavier lures, I would use a heavier rod, reel and line, but it can certainly be casted with minimum brakes and the angler would just rely solely on their thumbing skills.
The only person lying here is yourself and to yourself as you don't have an open mind to see things and do research before spewing nonsense.
