- Daiwa Salamandura Air TW 8.1L BFS Reel Unboxing - CDM BFS Reel Killer? Is Daiwa SEA on a mission to destroy CDM BFS Reels? Or are they testing their products in SEA so that they may bring out a Tatula Air TW in the US? Let's first see what this looks like out of the box, then my series will include Cast testing UL, L/ML and then I will swap to the Roro Spool for some UL! Man, seeing an unboxing of that thing. It’s a great looking reel. Never knew there was a such thing as a drag clicker 😂. I’ve got an SLX DC.
Lol, a lot of finesse bait casting reels have em. Especially now that it's a trending feature!
Only thing I wish about the drag clickers in baitcaster is for them to be a bit louder. Most of the times I hardly ever notice mine at all unless the areas quiet. Can you imagine a baitcaster with a the drag as loud as a spinning reel thats not a round reel?
The reason Is how the clicker is heavily covered inside and deeper than the spinning reel. It's gonna be hard to beat spinning

Love the reel bought when it first came out. Honestly it a lot better than the Krestel Elite BFS comparing to the price range if $200. I think Krestel Elite BFS price drop to $139....

Hiya jimbo. Dont suppose you can point me at one of your vids where you fish with the Tatula 70. I've got the 103 and Im wondering if its lso worth getting the 70.
I fished it but didn't portray as those days were not that great. But you can check my Salamandura SV TW 70 vids.. Which is slim as well. Just got it spring lol.

Having trouble finding bulk micro chatterbait blades like to make my own lures could you please tell me where you get them

@@rawrfishing was able to find the count bass but I didn't notice any micro chatterbait blades is there a item number that could help.
Not sure what micro blade u are looking for. Everything I have linked in the tutorial within the description of the shared video. Anything smaller that is currently in the market simply doesn't work.
@@rawrfishing okay I was looking for something in the size of the 1/8 Oz chatterbait cause they sell out so qiuick. Easier to get components and make myself.also thank you for letting me know about the smaller blades you saved me time and money
Gotcha. The video shared uses the size similar to the Chatterbait Flashback Mini 1/8th Oz. The count bass brand do have the 1/16th size too, but due to the thickness.. It just doesn't work. Stick with what I shared and avoid the other brand I shared and mentioned in the video and you should be good
Does daiwa alphas have a drag clicker?
Stock does not
Just bought 1 waiting for it to come...how you like it so far...going to use this for Saltwater bfs fishing and pairing it with the Phenix feather light.
Nice! I haven't found a place for it via the stock spool for my arsenal. As u know, I got a lot of reels. But when I upgraded it with Roro spool, I feel it is amazing for UL fishing and it can certainly stay as an UL fishing reel.
I did fish it via salt with the stock spool. Didn't like it for ML... So I will try again this year for L power rod throwing 3 to 5 grams and see how it does.
As a reel, it's solid, but I just need to find usage for it since I got so many options.
Ark Gravity bfs reel is a great example of an all rounder that can do UL really well, but can do L well and potentially even ML
@@rawrfishing Thanks for reply...this would be my first Daiwa bfs reel thanks for heads up on ML...so The phenix feather light should be a perfect match for it that way I can fish Salt and Freshwater with it as for the Ark gravity most likely I will get one as I have the Arise air and like the look for it and feel plus the cool breaking system and maybe add the arise elite also for some power bfs fishing! Bfs is getting addicting got 9 reel and a few rods now lol...thanks again for reply.
Very nice! 9 reels is not bad... U don't wanna see my collection since I do so many reel testing lol... And then the rods... And lures.... And boxes of lines... And even more lures...

@@rawrfishing the folks at Daiwa. I only found that reel on some aliexpress shops, and it always cost more than 200€, so even if it's from Daiwa, it's 3/4x more than good chinese reel.

That EPF Swim on a 1/32nd oz was The lightest lure portrayed here was conducted without adjusting my casting style. I will leave it as that since I don't intend to try any lower as there are spools specifically made for that. See the video I just dropped for this reel with the Roro TX25S spool

I would say this is a versatile bfs reel, but focused on heavier lures as the spool Is heavier and larger. But it's good to see how low one can go. I will be fishing bass stuff with this reel eventually

@@MrAntinsk8 hold your horses. There are absolutely no industry standards when it comes to bfs reels. So far, Bfs reels can fit UL, L and ML rods. Just because a reel doesn't have a light spool doesn't mean it's bad reel. And knowing Daiwa, I bet this thing can cast a bare 1/16th Oz Jig. But if it can't, I can still use this for other bfs fishing. Bass and saltwater bfs anglers don't even throw that low. In addition the stronger (heavier) spool helps with distance for heavier finesse lures. With that said... This could be a very amazing reel.
