xPositivityx bless Start pointing fingers, and you’ve got four pointing back at you. What are you spreading today? Blame or love? Come on. If you love your country, you must love its people and stand up for those that are oppressed. Stop trying to place blame on the powerless. That’s not what America is supposed to be about. “A riot is the voice of the unheard.” When oppressed people don’t have a voice, what choice do they have? Stop saying “you people.” That’s disgusting. It’s ALL of us in this together. It’s no wonder we have 4% of the world’s population and 20% of the world’s Covid deaths when we are this divided. But there’s one side that speaks unity and one side who welcomes the votes of haters and racists and turns a blind eye to violence against others. We need to heal. I am 60 and have seen a lot of change in my life for the better overall. There's been some slipping in the last couple of years..but we are about to regroup. We have to love and respect everyone. Thank you guys for helping us all!
Where you see "slipping in the last couple years" I see a false media campaign fear to keep people scared so they don't open themselves up to new opportunities. Politicians love to talk and keep issues alive instead of getting results. When I see black men and women being released from prison coming home to families they thought they'd never walk freely among, I cry tears of joy with them. That is change. We have a choice this election between the side that talks but put them in prison or a side ready to listen that welcoming them with an equal seat at the table. I'm done with these fear campaigns trying to bully people into for 'being uppity', thinking for themselves and not voting like we're supposed to because of what we look like, who we love or what gender we are. I refuse to trade one closet for another. We are all free. For those who want us to be in prison within our minds so they keep power. Tell them NO at the ballot box.
me too....I am 60 and proud......born of life and seen many a struggle...down to bussing..never will forget first day at my highschool bused to in 1973.....and the white crowd was yelling at our bus...."hell no we won't go.."...cause they did not want to be bussed to our Black school...remember everytime I pass by my old high school.....I am class of 75

I will be 80 in May, and you can believe I voted! Thank you two wonderful young men for what you do. I appreciate you so much! I remember Sam Cooke singing You Send Me in the fall of 1957 when I was in high school. This song is the best message for today. Thank you so much!

i am so glad and proud you two young gentlemen are listening to this music because songs like this carry the history of our people. i suggest you do some reading on the genre of R&B music and the artists like Sam Cooke, Otis Redding, James Brown and others. very educational and it will make you understand and appreciate how this music shaped the music you listen to today.
I love you kids. This song still hits my soul and brings tears to my eyes. My grandsons are 19 and 22 and made sure they voted. Keep up the great work!
I'm so pleased to hear you influential young men encouraging your fellow citizens to vote. I'm Canadian but I take the right to vote very seriously. People fought and died for us to have that right. I love your videos.

Sam Cooke was an amazing singer. So glad you are listening to the older songs. Brings back memories of being young and playing his music on my old record player. Thanks guys!!
I was 16 when this song was famous. After the Civil Rights Movement was supposed to have been resolved back then, I didn't think we would be back in this same situation again. I hurts my heart to see all this violence and hate. Back in the 60's we also went through the Free Speech Movement that caused untold violence and we're right back in the same place in that respect too.
And thats so sad. It's a scary world now so much simpler when I was younger. I NEVER cared what color people were if u were good then u were my friend. Nowadays I'm scared for my grandkids cuz my son in law is blk and I wouldn't want anyone eles in this world to be with my baby girl and the babies are absolutely beautiful. I just hope and pray they dnt have to deal with the idiots as they grow up. And I dare someone to come at them in any kind of way cuz it will be the last time it happened. People need to get over themselves and grow the hell up.
Then Medgar, Malcolm, King. Riots. Oh my soul. I know this song touches hearts of all colors, but blacks...this song was the song of their souls. The black experience cannot be explained as much as it is felt. The song is gut wrenching. I think he was killed. Like his murdered peers, he wanted change and had the power to bring it to so many...this made him an enemy. These men were messiah types.
mom was born before civil rights and really thought by the time she graduated high school things was gonna change but nope. she had to swim at the end of the day in high school
Big ups to both of y’all ! Sam Cooke is one of the greatest artists to ever walk the earth. RIP to the legend. You gotta react to “Bring It On Home To Me” by him also. Instant stank face and goosebumps when the instruments start. 👏🏽
This song always makes me think of that Malcolm X scene, hits different watching that part. Sam Cooke was inspired by Malcolm words to write this song after he heard him say A change is gonna come!
Sam’s song is the most beautiful anthem. There are many people of all races who marched for civil rights and the white racist regime in office is trying to take us back. The millennials must do it. They have a sense of justice greater than the older generation. Sam Cooke was a giant. He had his own recording company and influenced the Righteous Brothers music, The Drifters, and so many others. We can never give up. Ever.

Just a thought but did you know that in the UK Trump means fart? True.
You two are a breath of fresh air!! I appreciate your honesty and calm demeanor (when talking), love the energy when you are really into an artist and their music!!!
Voted early on Friday. Be the change you want to see in the world! Change is ONLY ever made by people grouping together and insisting on their rights so loudly, they can no longer be ignored.
Some change comes from voting. That's why we do it.

It is amazing how a "little" song can move so much. It is amazing how fast you twins got to the heart of its message. In this time, I'm so glad to hear you voice on politics in this soft, smart and gentle manner. You show the good that come from both feelings and consciousness, yet not imposing your views and believes. This is very sensible! You demonstrate why we should always listen to and trust the youth. I commend you and wish you all the best. Regards from France.

Research Sam Cooke. He is one of the first Black artists who tried to start his own record label. This paved the way for Prince, Jay-Z and others. He was also a great friend of famed boxer, Muhammad Ali
The documentary on Netflix tells the story. If you want to know about the life and music of a legend, watch the doc then come on TH-cam and listen to his music. For me he is the best male singer that ever lived and I sincerely love my black music and artists. But Sam Cooke was the fist singing voice I remember from the age of 4 years old. I wept when he died and have never stopped loving him. I am not alone in this.
So glad y'all did this today! When he sang this he had to sit in the "Colored" section of the movie theater, he couldn't go through the front doors of some businesses, and couldn't sit at the counters of others. If anyone thinks that their vote doesn't matter, let me tell you, IT DOES and many MANY people suffered to give YOU that RIGHT! Bless you Twins for being role models for the youth of today! Y'all are our future and by looking at you two, our future is bright!!!
Cooke wrote the song after he and his band were turned away from a segregated hotel in Shreveport, Louisiana. As a number of other people have said, this became a civil rights anthem. We lost so much wonderful music when Sam Cooke's life was cut short.
You had to know what the climate was back in 1963, that's where the passion of the vocals comes from. The passion, the pain in his vocals is easy to feel.
My favorite Sam Cooke is "Darling You Send Me". Don't know when that came out. My Mom listened to Sam Cooke all the time. I was born in 1967 and grew up listening to music like this. So glad I did.

My dad used to play Sam Cooke when I was a little girl. He loved him, The Impressions and Dionne Warwick! I love you guys!!!❤
@@TwinsthenewTrend Wonderful Outlook on Life! On the road to 1M and beyond! GODSPEED!
Sam Cooke had one of the most beautiful voices. So much emotion. So natural. That is what makes a singer unforgettable. So glad you listened to him. Learn all his songs.
Sam Cooke started out in a gospel group called the Soul Stirrers, please listen to everything you can find by him. One of the most soulful voices ever. Thanks for featuring this 🙏
I found some Soul Stirrers cds. So amazing.
I have everything I could find on sam cooke. I started when I was six years old, now i' m 74 years old. Sam cooke is the king of soul.
Goosebumps every time I hear this one
Voting: Preach guys!!! So true!!
I am 60 and have seen a lot of change in my life for the better overall. There's been some slipping in the last couple of years..but we are about to regroup. We have to love and respect everyone. Thank you guys for helping us all!
💪🏾
Tell them NO at the ballot box.
me too....I am 60 and proud......born of life and seen many a struggle...down to bussing..never will forget first day at my highschool bused to in 1973.....and the white crowd was yelling at our bus...."hell no we won't go.."...cause they did not want to be bussed to our Black school...remember everytime I pass by my old high school.....I am class of 75
"We have to lift each other up." Hallelujah! Bless you for using your voices and influence for positive change rather than tearing others down.
He sang this song from his Soul. I be ready. To cry every time I hear it! Exactly what him and others in that day were fighting for!
Sam Cooke: quite possibly the greatest singer of all time. My favorite artist.
Music was a very important part of the Civil Rights Movement !!! It really got us Good People through all the Pain and Suffering, kept us Strong , faithful and thinking Hopefully for the Better , doesn't happen overnight, its a slow process unfortunately, Patience is a Virtue !!! Voting is one part of the process and gotta keep fighting for real change and Equality for everyone !!! Classic Beautiful Song ,Very inspirational and Soulful !!! Rest in Peace Brother Sam Cooke .
Such wise, wise, wise, young men both of you are. We need so many more people like you. You deserve every bit of success .
If your vote didn't matter, they wouldn't be trying so hard to take it away. We are all the greatest dreams of our ancestors. It's good to see you young men catching that wisdom early. Go get it! You're making a difference.
INDEED

To hear you two kids talking about voting and bringing awareness to how inportant that is, fills me with hope because you the future.
I’m so proud y’all youngins out here influencing people to vote. Lift eachother up 💪🏾💯
You two are a “breath of fresh air”. Your mama raised you right. Stay together keep doing what your doing. Blessings!!!!!!
Dr. King preached: “Returning hate for hate multiplies hate, adding deeper darkness to a night already devoid of stars. Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.”
Y'all just keep sharing your hearts. 💙🌹
Amen!
Well said!
❤👏
Dr. King was right! Look at the last 4 years. Let us be the light Nov 4 and vote with love to drive out hate that has been multiplying.
Correct x
Bless you twins. This is a perfect song for this week, this life.
This song always makes me feel like crying. It's such a lovely, painfully poignant sentiment. Wonderful to see y'all react to this.
My heart and soul is happy! Thank you for listening to the late great Sam Cooke! Your reactions, loved it! God Bless you both❤️❤️
“There is nothing more rebellious than loving each other right now” -Ziggy Marley. We can’t allow ourselves to be divided for the benefit of others. I love this reaction. Congratulations on 700k 🎉
You guys impress me everytime I listen to you.
God's truth.
I am so inspired to hear two young men like yourselves encouraging people to vote. Your vote is your voice, more than ever now.
You 2 boys have gotten people off their couch to vote and that is something! You 2 are the best. 💙❤️☀️🌈💕
Music can unify all of us . I just love your reactions and your passion and the example you set ! Best song ever . Keep up the great work !
Another great one by Sam Cooke is “You Send Me”. My mother still has the record from the 1950s!
Yes, but this one is transcendant.
This is his last recording before he was murdered. That's why for myself and a lot of others this such a sad but wonderful song by the great one. RIP forever. ❤💖💕🌹
Like he was destined to sing THAT song.
This song always makes me tear up. Every. Single. Time
That's because he was telling that he knew he was a true Israelite,
OMG I did not know he was murdered. Geeessshhh
These 2 give powerful messages for their age.

Every time I hear Sam Cooke, I feel like he's touched my heart.
I will be 80 in May, and you can believe I voted! Thank you two wonderful young men for what you do. I appreciate you so much! I remember Sam Cooke singing You Send Me in the fall of 1957 when I was in high school. This song is the best message for today. Thank you so much!
That song is so profound, brings tears to my eyes. I njoy your song choices.
Sam Cooke was one of the best artists of all time
Sam Cooke is the world
Yes ❤
Yes!! ❤
This has to be the best public service announcement of the voting season, and your choice of music is spot-on. Well done, gentlemen...
You 2 just brought me to tears. Yes, get out and exercise your right to vote! So proud of your generation....2020, has not been an easy year for anyone. Keep on, keeping on.....You have brought a lot of joy to people in these crazy days.
i am so glad and proud you two young gentlemen are listening to this music because songs like this carry the history of our people. i suggest you do some reading on the genre of R&B music and the artists like Sam Cooke, Otis Redding, James Brown and others. very educational and it will make you understand and appreciate how this music shaped the music you listen to today.
I love you kids. This song still hits my soul and brings tears to my eyes. My grandsons are 19 and 22 and made sure they voted. Keep up the great work!

God rest his soul. Hope he is watching over us. We need to vote just for him and the sacrifices he made for us.
I'm so pleased to hear you influential young men encouraging your fellow citizens to vote. I'm Canadian but I take the right to vote very seriously. People fought and died for us to have that right. I love your videos.
I love Fred for his quiet subtleties and also his cute little singing makes me smile each time. And I love Tim for his wisdom beyond his years!! Love you both and thanks for featuring this song on the eve of the election!! BLM and I am hoping a change is gonna come!! Peace and Love!
Agree!
We won. Thank the lord!
Great timing guys 😍
This song and “You Send Me” are my top fav Sam Cooke songs ☺️ and Chain Gang is totally classic ❤️
Sam Cooke was an amazing singer. So glad you are listening to the older songs. Brings back memories of being young and playing his music on my old record player. Thanks guys!!
I'm so proud of you guys for using your platform to encourage love, and to encourage people to vote. Love my nephews, man !
“What you speak is what you live, what you’re around is what you become”
Damn
Amen wonderful song love one another always
Then Medgar, Malcolm, King. Riots. Oh my soul. I know this song touches hearts of all colors, but blacks...this song was the song of their souls. The black experience cannot be explained as much as it is felt. The song is gut wrenching. I think he was killed. Like his murdered peers, he wanted change and had the power to bring it to so many...this made him an enemy. These men were messiah types.
We learned many lessons and had so much hope! What the hell!?! “Teach your children well!”
mom was born before civil rights and really thought by the time she graduated high school things was gonna change but nope. she had to swim at the end of the day in high school
Big ups to both of y’all ! Sam Cooke is one of the greatest artists to ever walk the earth. RIP to the legend. You gotta react to “Bring It On Home To Me” by him also. Instant stank face and goosebumps when the instruments start. 👏🏽
Yes! Bring It On Home To Me!
He was my mother's favorite singer! And I love him too. I was 13 when this song came out, but I realized what a strong message it was sending.
Literally the only thing that made me smile this year...you adorable guys
After listening to this "reaction", I'm adding the two of you young men to my list of heroes. Keep it up!
"We gotta stop bringing each other down and start lifting each other up...." - Tim Williams 🙏💕🙌
You two DID manifest this! God Bless.
This song always makes me think of that Malcolm X scene, hits different watching that part. Sam Cooke was inspired by Malcolm words to write this song after he heard him say A change is gonna come!
I love that scene
@@rainhenry1 Me too! Powerful!
Yes! Love hearing young people participating in the vote!!
I love how y'all can feel the history, struggle and magnitude of this song.
Thank you both for encouraging everyone to vote! And for spreading love through your thoughts, reviews and reactions.
😊 🧡 Blessings!
perfect choice for today!! As always, you've raised my spirits!! Thank you for being here when we all need you!!!!!
Sam Cooke was the best and that was the last he wrote and sang before he was murdered
His death was so unbelievable... a legend gone!
Ever.
At age 33 but with the soul of a man who'd lived 100 years.

I was 14 when this was released and it still gives me goosebumps today. Nowadays I'm 71 years old, born in living in the UK. I was so pleased to hear you two urging people to vote. It's been so long since Sam Cook was vilely murdered and that change is long overdue, so yes please America use your vote and make sure that the right man wins. Ps. Just a thought but did you know that in the UK Trump means fart? True.
Yesssssssss
I was not born yet
But my mom seen
Mr. Cooke in concert
And she said he was a great singer
RIP
Salute To The Queen (Your Mother) For Raising Two Young Kings To Hear You Speak With Knowledge And Wisdom Is A Blessing And You Guys Are Relevant To The Song Because Your Making A Change 💯💯🙏🙏💪🏽
You need to give these boys the credit. You seriously do. They deserve all the credit.
@@ardelld1 absolutely 👍👍
Im a 43 year old white english guy but I love watching your reactions to songs. So refreshing to see real talent appreciatees
Steve Perry said that one of his earliest influences was Sam Cooke. He heard "Cupid" in the radio when he was a kid. It turned him on to music.
That makes total sense! Steve has that passionate wail as well...🎙🎶👊
Research Sam Cooke.
The Gloria Ladson Billings commented on your post. This is major guys! #EducationIcon
One of the all time greatest songs EVER‼️
Amen!! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼
Timeless song. It was important then, and even more so now. It such fun watching your reactions to music I’ve loved almost all my life. Your channel is addicting. Thanks for being you, and being open to new-to-you songs. I love you guys!!

The first time I saw this reaction, I cried. Your country was on the precipice of change. You guys are the real deal.
Tim, positivity is important, and we also know how hard you WORKED for your success, just like our forebears worked and fought for the right to vote. Thanks for your inspiring words and example!
Steve Perry from Journey studied Sam Cooke when he was young. You can hear some of these techniques when you listen to Steve Perry.
And they share a birthday (Jan 22) - along with one of my other favorites, the late Michael Hutchence. Listen to the song Good Times sung by both Sam Cooke and Steve Perry, the similarity is uncanny.
WOW! Didn't know that. I definitely hear the similarities in vocal techniques and ranges!
I never knew that but that was Iike a lightbulb. So similar. Thanks!
Never knew that! Totally hear the similarities now!
He sounds just like him on “Oh Sherrie”

Praying for Much success to you two!!!
This song means more now than ever, this should be the anthem song for equality. I'm 37 from manchester UK and I absolutely love you guys videos. Keep up the great work.
I have been listening to this song way too much here lately. I also saw a random guy crank his truck and this song was on. I smiled told him it was my daughters and mine favorite. He turned it up for us. My 4 year old loves it!
The world is watching you America, vote if you haven't already and I pray that it is a peaceful transfer of power. Love , from Canada.✌
Thank you Sally. I’ve been praying for this country. Trusting in God.
Keep praying Canada! We need all the love and help we can get
Thank you for your prayers. God knows that we need them! I have something that you might have to lol at: I have deep Quebecois roots. I heard someone say that the Canadians are our emotional support people at this time. Yes, it's true, at least on both sides of this family. I don't like the state of my motherland anymore at this point in history.
We did both. We're just waiting to get the asshole out. We're ready for the president and his wife with their two German Shepherd's to bounce in there and work with us to get rid of the virus and all the other nonsense that's going on. Enjoy Canada. Oh boy. Bunch of us thought we were going to have to move there. Maybe it's not too late...
Tim and Fred, you’re wise beyond your years. ❤️
Thank you for encouraging your listeners to vote. It's so important. This past election proved it! Love you guys!
