    I was watching your EP12. Where you cut the Water trap. You can use a silicone or JB Weld puddy. To detour water.

    Good work. You can still make that latch waterproof by making a wall in the channel on either side of the latch. This way any water in the channel will go to the lower spot (drain hole) instead of coming into the storage compartment.

    Great job, I'm loving the videos. One thing to think about, everyone isn't one facebook or instagram. Anything that you put on those platforms, should be on here for those of us that follow you here.

    Tig weld around that clearance area to make a damn.

    Could you remove the hinge on the hatch and cut the vinyl off from behind the hinge on both sides? It may give enough clearance for a smoother opening. Either way, fantastic work!

    My hachs frame sets on top of my carpet i cut 1/4 of the carpet out around the ruff opening so i could seal the frame to the deck used lexel sealant carpet wraped on the lids tho wasnt enough room to do the frame used 18oz carpet wich i shaved with clippers so lid would close

    May be too late but use some of your silicone and run a bead around the relief you cut. After it dries build up the bead till it is as high as the original lip. Like a berm. If you ever read this please message me. I have questions.

    I noticed your Iowa DNR sticker on the boat, what part of the State are you located? Great project btw!

  • @uShotNobody

    Your flood hatch not completely useless. Just take clear silicone and create a bead around about a 1/4: tall so the water does not go down the hole.

    Dumb question but what router bit did you use for the seat pedestal install? Going to attempt a new front casting deck in the next few weeks. Your videos have been so helpful.

    Hi, great work... i am starting on my boat in a few weeks. Question, are you concerned that the seat pedistool may not have enough support since it is countersunk? That is a very thin layer of board that is actually supporting whoever is sitting on that seat.

    • @PUTEMDOWNProductions
      @PUTEMDOWNProductions  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There are aluminum cross supports right next to it, boat has been done for 2 years ive sat on it quite a bit with no issues

    Could have spun the latch 180degrees the locking arm would have still been long enough to secure the lid and also gave you the clearance you needed

    • @PUTEMDOWNProductions
      @PUTEMDOWNProductions  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Tried that, it was hitting on the main body of the latch, just cut the hole too close to the edge darnit

    Hi there I know it’s been a while since you put this video out but I hope you can tell me what I should use to adhere my non felt back marine vinyl to my marine plywood deck I can find marine adhesive glue for felt back vinyl but not for regular marine vinyl. What did you use and is it still holding strong ? Thanks

    • @PUTEMDOWNProductions
      @PUTEMDOWNProductions  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I wouldnt recommend what i used, it took forever to dry but most vinyl companies had their own adhesive i would start there… nautolex is the brand vinyl i used and at the time their adhesive was backorder so i chose something else i talked about it in one of the videos

    question. I have a 2016 bass tracker 170 pro. It has the vinyl from the factory but I reallllly want to carpet it. How bad do you think our know it is, to remove that vinyl that currently in it? I feel like carpeting it would be a little worse that typical carpet jobs because I wouldn't have the old carpet to use as a stencil to trace and cut the new carpet.

    • @PUTEMDOWNProductions
      @PUTEMDOWNProductions  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You may run into clearance issues with compartments and panels, carpet is alot thicker than vinyl so it would depend on your gaps on everything from the factory. Other than that wouldnt be too difficult to change it over to carpet.

    @jtee9548 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    Buddy, your wood is too thin under the seat post! 3/8" ? Another layer of 1/2" underneath cut to fit between the aluminum stringers or an aluminum plate between & flush with the stringers would be better for big guys like us. (Actually I'm much bigger lol)
