I think you really did a great job on this! As others have mentioned, your attention to detail is outstanding! I dare say your work is better than the manufacturer. Great job!
The toothpick idea from your other video made my mind explode. So simple but will save me so much confusion when I do the floor of my 99 princecraft I’m restoring to use with my dad! Love the videos man
Always a pleasure watching your builds. I've said it before, you gave me the inspiration to do the build on my 14ft jonboat and I'm so glad I found your channel to get that motivation.
Very nice. I did this exact deck extension on my neighbor's bass boat last February. I didn't use the pre-built hatches from TBN. Marine plywood left over from the rest of the build for the win. Had the budget allowed, we would've gone that route though. Great job brother, keep cranking out these awesome videos.
I have to tell you thats a great job you have done to your boat ! I have seen some real butcher jobs on doing or trying to do that same thing to there boats as you did very nice job 👍
This series is great. I have a 2001 Bass Tracker I want to renovate. Could you give a gross estimate of how much you charged for everything in this series?
I want to build a step for my boat from the upper fishing deck to the lower driving deck, right now there is a 11" drop down and i want to at least cut that distance in half. I was thinking 6"h x 9"d x 28" would be a good step. I also want to put a lid on it so I can double the step as extra storage. My question is i couldnt really make out what type and size of aluminum angle you used for the frame. Also, seeing as the bottom of my step will be on the lower vinyl deck, would you still cut a strip out or would you leave a gap to allow water to drain out under the step? Thanks
@chrismichaelson5668 I would use 1/8th angle aluminum to frame it aa a general rule. Yiu could 1/16 inch angle but you'll need to add allot of vertical supports. Not sure i follow you on the second question
@BassBrothersFishingDMV so my raised fisjing deck is carpeted but the lower area of the boat where you sit is a vinyl floor. I couldn't tell from the video if you stripped off the carpet off the very bottom piece against the floor. Would you take a strip of the vinyl off for the angle aluminum to sit in or would you just screw it down right over the vinyl? I think the other part was just me thinking if water got into the step somehow on how to make sure the water drained out.
@chrismichaelson5668 you could add a water tight lid to the step. The lid has a dry track and a drain that you would cut a hole in the floor and the water would drain out a tube going from the lid thru the floor.
your attention to detail is unmatched by any boat builder ive watched on TH-cam. thanks for the great and informative content
Appreciate the feedback 👍🏾🤙🏾👊🏾 funny, I cut out allot stuff everytime lol.

These videos make me want to upgrade my boat so bad
Go for it!!!
@@BassBrothersFishingDMV I just don't have a big enough garage workspace
What screws are you using into the wood, stainless, counter sunk? Thanks
Man great job and awesome content brother. New sub here. And much love to ya brother from Maryland❤❤❤.
What does this extension cost to have done. I have the exact same year boat and would love to get you to do this on mine! Very well done.
Professional!
Great job
Would this work for a fiberglass boat? Want to do this to my boat!
It should as long as you have anchor points for the decking like side panels and existing decking.
What rivet gun is that?

@BassBrothersFishingDMV thank you for the advice, am throwing around some ideas till it warms up a little to get out and tinker around with the ideas
May I ask what robots you used on the build
Robots?
@@BassBrothersFishingDMV rivets sorry
@iflipz929 lol I used 3/16" rivets. They are bigger than 1/8th so stronger bond. 💪
Want to build one on my 94 skeeter lol 😆
Look sgreat
Thanks man.
Is your wood deck treated or untreated?
Untreated but sealed with Fiberglass Resin.
I'm watching this series and am wondering why you didn't build the deck extension prior to carpeting?
I didn't because I carpeted the front before reinstalling the side console
👍👍
Great job but that hatch lid is expensive. $200 at least. 😮
Not bad for a one time investment.
