Wonderful swatching, we can really see how colorful Holbein are. Can you swatch the new 24 granulating too?

Thanks so much for your comment! Regarding the granulating colors--I'll have to look into them! It doesn't look like they're sold at my usual go-to store. Will report back when I have the chance! But it looks like several artists on YT have already swatched them, so I hope you'll give them a watch.

Great video - how long did the paints take to dry - and then how do you use. I always use fresh paint in tubes, Love Hobein - But not sure how the pallette works when paint is dried.

Thanks for your comment! Great question about how long it took for the paints to dry. I'll have to do an experiment on how long it takes. But I've reused my gouache over and over again. If you check out my livestream videos for my 100 day project (Days 29 and beyond), you'll see me use the same sta-wet palette and ceramic palette over and over. Sometimes I squeeze fresh paint out, and sometimes I reactivate. It also depends on how you like to paint. Since I learned watercolor first, I don't mind the watered down gouache look. But if you're a traditional gouache artist, you probably want to use fresh paint each time so that you have the full opacity. Hope that helps!

Wait I just realized that you had commented about the watercolors and not the gouache! So sorry about the confusion. The watercolors don't take long to dry whether it's on the paper or on the palette. They reactivate very easily in the pans and the color is still very vibrant and creamy. I've used it in countless recent tutorials so I hope you'll check those out.

Hello Audrey, can you tell me or the paints dry really good or are still sticky. I would like to use them for filling up an art tool palette. Now I did put some Roman Szmals in it, but they are so sticky that it sticks to the top when I close it

Hi~! As long as the paint is fully dried, I have no problem with the paint sticking to the lid. I also avoid overfilling my half pans. When you overfill, then the excess paint may be sticking to the lid when you close it. Try filling it only about 75-80% of the way, and letting it fully dry before closing it. Hope that helps!
