    why do some 1500hp inline 6 use 2 blow off valve instead of just using 1 rated at 2000hp. Is there any benefits at using 2?

    Trying to choose between Vee Port and Raceport for symposer BOV kit, Fiesta ST. What are the differences between Vee Port and Raceport? Car is on stock turbo, tune and intercooler so while I believe the Vee Port to be more than enough, I want that sweet sound!

      We always think bigger is better ;-) But that aside, while the Raceport would fine, it would be overkill & the VeePort Pro will do the job nicely!

      You'll see for the 3000GT you're looking at either the TS-0203-1023 which is a Dual Port (Noisy) or the TS-0203-1223 which is a Plumback.

    What i should pick for my 2017 ford fiesta 1.0 ecoboost?

    • @TurbosmartHQ
      @TurbosmartHQ  ปีที่แล้ว

      Our Kompact Series is perfect for your car! The Kompact series valves are available in two options: Dual port, which is our 50/50 vent to atmosphere valve, and Plumb Back, which is 100% recirculation. They both offer the same performance in terms of improved durability, superior response, and greater boost handling. So it will really come down to preference on if you want to hear the valve or not. Here are some part numbers: TS-0203-1065 = Dual Port (vents to atmosphere) or TS-0203-1265 = Plumb Back (100% recirculation; quiet). Please let us know if we can answer any other questions for you!

    What are the pitfalls of using oversized or undersized BOVs?

    • @TurbosmartHQ
      @TurbosmartHQ  3 ปีที่แล้ว +12

      Thanks for your question! So, basically an undersized BOV can lead to compressor surge under higher loads. Basically, not being big enough or well designed enough to flow the amount of air that requires bypassing, in order to avoid surge. On the flip side, it's difficult to go 'too-big' on a valve. There are some exceptions to this, but they are related to air flow metered road cars with complex air flow management and boost control strategies where the issue is more one of fault codes & system alarms, than it is of actual performance, or boost response. Certainly with the Turbosmart range, we aim to have the best sealing & fastest valves on the market so bigger doesn't mean slower.

    why are people using 50mm bov's on pwc's? isnt that too big?

    • @TurbosmartHQ
      @TurbosmartHQ  ปีที่แล้ว

      There isn't necessarily anything wrong with going with a BOV outside the limitations of your build. While it is overkill, it will still work as expected.
