I have the same one on my 375 hp speed 3 it’s been holding up for about 50k miles now. I do plan on replacing mine soon as I wanna up the power a little more down the road but I’m genuinely surprised how well it works for the price!
I was able to get a quiet BOV sound on my VT for $3. But the cheapest louder BOV I bought was on Amazon for $20, and it sounds as nice as an expensive one.

If you have a boosted car, make yourself a boost leak tester if you don't already have one. You'll find that these cheap ebay BOVs can't even hold like 5PSI usually before they start leaking. If you have a MAF car, you'll run very rich losing all that air between the maf and engine
We do have a boost leak tester, but for this one we just compared logs before and after install and it seems to be doing okay. I would much rather prefer an authentic piece though.
every turbo car owner should make a boost leak smoke tester and test for boost leaks once a year or so.you can make one as easy as a soldering iron/jar/sock/wire/baby oil and cut up pen/vaccum hose.there are many vids on diy boost leak testers.ive used vape pens as smoke tester and the random places you find leaks is crazy,never use the propane method as its obsolete and the method of shoving air/smoke in the system ensures you if you fixed all leaks.
the tututu sounds happen when your valve has the spring too tight or even with no valve at all. that's the air coming back to the turbine which this valve is actually made to avoid happening. the tututu sound can damage your turbine. this valve has two settings: the tightness of the spring. the more tight, the less it will open. and the other setting is to choose where the air goes, to atmosphere or back to the intake. the tssh sound is when it goes to atmosphere. when it's set to full recirculate like it is in your video in 7:18 (we can see the "trumpet" outlet is closed) it should make no tsssh sound.

I definitely prefer the looks of the first gen, but overall I'm not a big fan of the platform in general.

Harder or softer is not for the noise it's to eliminate compressor surge by adjusting spring tension
Or used to vent at idle with the small spring removed for super charger setups that need to be that way I got run two of em or I blow my couplers off
