    Mate honestly thank you so much for all the content you make - i cannot express in words how helpful your videos are! I started 3 months ago and am lucky enough to be able to play 5 rounds a week as i work nights. I consume so much golf content, but your tutoring is levels and levels more effective than any other I have found on youtube. My iron striking has increased ten fold since discovering you 2 weeks ago, to the point i feel confident standing over any ball. Thanks again, and keep them coming - you're the 🐐!!

    I've only practiced golf a few times, and in that time I've watched hundreds of golf instructional videos on channels that sometimes have over a million subscribers. However, this is the first video about what is most important. I have already noticed that in the first phase of the stroke you have to pull the handle while maintaining a right angle between the forearm and the golf club. However, when I tried to move my arms or rotate my upper body, the tip of the golf club moved too fast and the angle increased. Now, thanks to you, I know that it is the lower body that has to initiate the movement. The best golf video I've ever seen. Thanks. Due to an injury to my right wrist and because I play tennis forehand with both hands crossed, I am trying to learn to play golf like Josh Broadaway. There is a video of my third workout on my channel.

    I saw your video two months ago
    You changed my golf after twenty years and my friend was a golf pro teacher. You explained so good and my golf is excellent now.

    Good video. I have been working on rotation and this is a good couple of practice steps that I was not doing. Thanks.

    Have gotten more lessons than I know. Current coach is teaching me exactly what you are teaching. Coming from someone who has seen it all from a lesson standpoint your content is as good as I have seen. These movements are absolutely crucial to becoming a consistent ball striker.

    I started doing your impact preset drill and combined that with the feeling that the shaft stays parallel to my chest and the butt of the club cannot ever point at me (stays pointed in front to my left) and I have never felt effortless compression like this!! I think it’s the Holy Grail of golf. Alex Noren’s pre-swing drill is a great mental image.

    Been working on all these things from your videos, they're great!. I feel like the one thing displayed in the tour player's slow-motion swings (especially Rory and Tommy) not mentioned in the video is a right side bend or trail side rib crunch simultaneously with the lead butt cheek moving away from the golf ball and then away from the target. I'd love to hear your thoughts! I feel like that could be the piece I'm missing to achieve the downswing I'm working toward.

    I’m really trying this since your chair drill and it’s helped so much. My only problem is pulling it left which I’m guessing I’m still coming ‘over the top’ or starting my downswing too early. I have a tendency to really pull from the top and throw my right shoulder out. Amazing content mate thank you

    Seriously. I can’t count the money I’ve spent on lessons and time searching drills to fix my over the top move and then I stumble on this today. 120 balls in a buckets I think I hit less than 10 pulls. The two stick drill clinched it. I learned old school “slide and trap” and sway and slide like crazy. The idea of turning the left hip back I knew; but driving it UP made the biggest difference right away. Thank you very much

    this is good. when i get it right things are good and i don't even have to think about the arms and club but i can't always keep it going. i do use the stick in the belt loop and i'm gonna add the stick in the ground plus the towel thing. this is really gonna help, thnx for the help.

    Id love to see you analyze xander schauffele's swing. In my opinion he ahs the most efficient swing ive seen, and i think its kind of the perfect model for what you teach on this channel. The only difference, correct me if im wrong, he has a little more release and club head rotation post impact. So he kind of blends the "classic realease" with your more modern swing pretty interesting. Love what you do here, the best youtube coach out there. Keep up the good work!

    It looks as though the buttons of your shirt get thru the impact area b4 the clubface. I read where Jack N maintained that he wanted to strike the ball before the buttons of his shirt were square to the ball, I can hit the ball further getting torso thru impact area but ball is OB rightl

    Ive had an issue when attemtping to hit a fade of carching it off the toe. (Ive been working on these moves, rotational swing passive release type ideas, for a couple year). Have you had or seen this issue? My theory is the path exiting too much left, and shoulder alignment open to feet alignment possibly being the root cause. Would love to hear your input

      ..you gotta feel like you’re swinging in-to-out severely at impact. You won’t actually but that’s what it feels like. You won’t hit it left if you do this. Look it up, every pro does it, in to out . Mike Austin talked about it.

    I can do this quite easily. HOWEVER, I'm still somehow not making solid contact. Still coming over the top or coming in rather steep, resulting in bladed shots, or fat shots. What do you think cluld be happening?

    Started doing that with Driver and bombing it, but I dare not do it with irons, it makes me nervous 😬👌

    Some coaches advocated that swing speed primarily comes from the arms and the lower body only helps to propel the ball further. Is it true?

    I needed to see this before playing today, just couldn’t clear the left hip out of the way. Lazy left hip made everything pulled left and I noticed my right shoulder wasn’t down like Fleetwood and Johnson as I watched this video. Thx Johnathan I need to work harder.

    it's funny. no pro downswings look effortless to me. they look athletic and powerful, and extremely effortful. maybe i'm the outlier for thinking this.

    • @ArtJorgensen
      @ArtJorgensen 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      The very fact that they look athletic and powerful had me fooled for years. Because now I know that, in spite of that look, they are not yanking the hands down through the swing. Instead, of course, their hands are merely holding on to the club as the centripetal force works its magic. I had several sets of lessons in my life and not one pro ever told me that I was swinging the club with my hands instead of with a hip and body turn. I'm quite angry that I only learned this (from TH-cam) about 10 years ago. I'm now 85 and swing better than ever, although it's too late in life to be as good as I could have been.

      Ya it’s definitely not effortless for them either! Every time Rory McLroy hit a drive he sounds like he’s been punched in the stomach he grunts so hard!

    • @thecount1001
      @thecount1001 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@grindano every channel says the same thing. 'effortless'. i don't find it effortless and it doesn't look that way. some do look more fluid and easy than others i guess.
