I personally found learning the game too long and difficult in the early days. I read all the books, watched all the videos but my game was not improving. Then after studying various forms of neuro science, motor learning, psychology and personal development in less than two years I went from struggling golfer to the final stage of the Open Championship.
On TH-cam and my personal website (www.dannymaude.com) I will bring you the most up to date training, training that is getting tangible results for my clients right now. I don’t know where you are in your golfing journey, you could be just starting out or maybe your body isn’t as flexible as it once was or you’ve got ambitions to slash your handicap. This golf lesson provides a couple of wonderful drills to help you hit your driver straight.If you are a beginner golfer and are looking for some golf driver tips that are simple and easy to do then you are going to love this.
I will show you the golf swing slow motion so that you can see what you need to do to improve.
We look at 3 things:

Hi Danny, Sr golfer (73) from Florida. I've been following you for a couple of years now and felt compelled to write. I have always been mid handicap golfer, and as I have grown older started suffering from poor /inconsistent contact. I watched the video on "Better Ball Striking Just happens when you do this" and I have to say it's been a revelation! I never could figure out how to hit the ball with my body instead of arms but after watching this and the one tip that was magic to my swing (rotating the trail arm up at address). I have had the best ball striking of my life! Thanks Danny!

Danny, yesterday our golf club had a Super Bowl party and a $5 round. I was horrible. Then I got out my iPhone and pulled up this video, and presto salvaged the round. 🙏🏻 0:06
I love the fact that in your instruction, you don't refer to right or left leg, arm, hip, whatever.
Instead, for left-handers such as myself you speak in terms of "lead" arm, "trail" arm, lead foot, etc.
This makes your instruction far more efficient than others because the terminology you use is universal and easy to visualize.

Danny - just want to say thank you for this. I’ve had a weird hook for the last couple of week and and really been struggling.
I took a face on video of my swing and it showed the breakdown of the club overtaking my arm as you showed, I followed your tip and it’s worked wonders today, and I now have a fantastic pre swing feel to use.
One of the best & most simple instructions to follow & improve your game.
Always great instruction Danny! One 'check point' that our course's Pro gave me that helps....is to make sure that the right hip should be pointing at the 'tee position' at the end of each swing. Makes me make a complete rotation and finish with my chest facing my target. Keep up the great videos....some of the 'best' on You Tube!
Danny Boyle, this has to be one of your best vidéos for me. I have never really had a good finish but this Idea of starting from the finish is a light bulb moment for me. Still need a lot more work on this but I feel confident that it will help me enormously.

Great video as always. Simple to understand and execute, will definitely try this once the weather gets better. I always struggle to reach the finish position from my practice swings in my normal, often way too stiff real shots. Maybe this helps to focus mainly on the feel of the finish. Great tip Danny - I think the ‘rehearse the end position and let your body figure out the rest’ is a great way of taking away ask those distracting swing thoughts when addressing the ball.
I've been taking lessons from a local pro, but still watch most of Danny's videos. The concepts from both sources are nearly identical, but Danny sometimes has a little different phrasing or "key" that helps to drive home the points, and additional drills to reinforce what I'm learning. For example: the simple step of pushing the lead hip forward at set-up a bit reinforces and facilitates my teacher's direction to keep my hands ahead of the club head.

This video, Better Ball Striking Just Happens When You Do This, is BRILLIANT! I have taken its lessons to the range and the course with phenomenal results. Today, I had my best round ever, hitting more greens in regulation and with significantly improved ball flight. I have actually gained 15-20 yards per club compared to how I hit prior to studying (and I mean studying) the lesson. The swing is indeed repeatable and minimizes the room for error. Danny, I can't thank you enough. I have watched many of your videos; this is the BEST.

What an excellent drill for both irons and driver for better ball striking! I like the idea of a post impact "weight forward" and then pivot drill because I think sometime I don't get through the ball as best that I could! Well Done Danny! Always learning and validating in watching your videos!

I was a single digit handicapper and after a serious illness, I was unable to break 100. What a brilliant video, it's simplicity is belies it's value.
Thanks Danny. Another great video and key to good golf. I came across it myself last year when I analysed why I consistently played decent golf for the first 12 holes but then my round fell apart. I'm 77 years old and I concluded that later in the round as my knackered old body tired I stopped fully using my legs and hips and wasn't reaching the follow through position. Still a struggle but I'm working on it and your video will help. Frustrating game!

Great video Danny. I find that by concentrating on having the butt of the club facing back towards my midriff halfway through on the follow through that helps my extension and also eliminates the chicken wing!!
This drill got my hips and head in a good position at impact to hit the consistent ball flight I've been chasing for months. It corrected a persistent issue of hitting behind the ball with an open club face. Thanks, Danny!

Hi Danny, another senior here (71). On holiday in Oz visiting family and using old 2nd hand golf clubs, which finding difficult to hit, but used your pre shot drill and probably hit straighter and further for about 70% of the time , so looking forward in doing same in UK with my normal clubs. Also found that I did not have any lower back pain after the game, which I have suffered with over last few months. Brilliant video Danny as usual - Thank you!

Excellent stuff. Focus on weight forward, arms straight, chest & hips facing the target, and tilting shoulders (I added that last one because I am always swinging too flat).
