@@ackackdown that is because it is for the Lancer. Technically a strut bar was not a factory/aftermarket option for the Outlander sport. But the Full sized outlander, the outlander sport, lancer, and even some Evos have a similar suspension and can share certain parts. Similar situation if you want to lower your outlander sport you can buy coil overs or air suspension for certain model year lancers and it fits perfect.

I purchased mine on eBay so there is not link available. If you search on eBay for a used strut bar anything from a 2008 and newer lancer will fit. You can get OEM, Megan Racing, Cusco, DC racing there’s a lot out there.
No you don’t have to. You can fight it where it’s at, it is a bit of a pain I’ll admit. But I have found it’s not hard to remove the “snorkel” that goes over the battery, undo the hose clamp after the maf sensor and then take the entire air box out. Takes me less than five minutes to remove and install the filter box.
I personally have not done this but if you have the right kit it looks as simple as removing the bolts attaching you hood, putting the spacer i between your hood and hood brackets and replacing the new longer bolts. Oh yeah I see that now, so I asked in the FB group I’m in and one guy suggested going to your local hardware store and getting an all thread nut than a matching bolt. So you can put the all thread nut on the preexisting hood bolts then feed the new nut into the all thread through the hood mounts giving you a little extra space.
Did you notice a difference after installing it? I have the 2015 model and thinking about adding the brace.
I would say a little less body roll in corners but overall nothing crazy changed.

It should! I don’t believe they have changed the actual structure even with the facelift.

What are they torqued to?
35 lb-ft is the spec for the top of the struts so I did mine to that once the brace was installed.
