LED blinkers and front running lights
Finally getting around to uploading some videos again. This video breaks down the install of led running/ marker lights and replacing the front and rear turn signals with leds. These blinkers have held up great for about 8 months now. No issues with hyper flashing, I am unware if they may cause "bulb out" messages on the dash as my vehicle does not notify when lights are out.

How it cost sir? I wanna do this to my outlander too.
I like LED lights, use them in many different applications, but if you live in a cold snowy environment I don’t recommend them for headlights. They ice up during bad weather highway driving whereas the hotter Halogen bulb tent to mostly self de-ice.
@@Chriscam2you you are right on that. Haven’t had any issues with LEDs with the winters here.
You’re one of the only few people that are modding the sport and make vids 👏🏽
@@richbaby3347 thanks for checking them out! I have a few more to put out just haven’t gotten around to it. Then I’m pretty much down with what I want from this vehicle.
What is the Plug part numbers from Mitsubishi since they strip due to rust
@@edrnd9 I do not have that information unfortunately. I’d recommend checking a website like Mitsubishi parts warehouse or calling a dealership and see if the parts department will tell you.
Thanks 👍
What size exhaust tip is that looking for one for mine and I like yours I have the same black outlander sport!!!
Sorry for the late response this was a 60mm or 2.36 inch inlet and 4 inch outlet exhaust tip I found on ebay. It fit the flared end of the tailpipe great but was sticking out more than I liked so I ended up securing it further back than the flared end and just tightening it down a ton so it fit.
Love how it looks, Also have an Asx 2011 and I wants to do this , any recommendations? Am in Dominican Republic.
I did H&R lift springs and a Tema 4x4 lift spacer kit. The front passenger side CV is shorter than the drivers side at least on the 2WD version. When I had this the axle would hit against the lower control arm at times and make a horrible clunk. You didn’t have this issue? The only way I saw correcting it was a subframe drop but that looks like a massive custom amount of work.
@@user-hb2ve3md6c I have not had the hitting issue both of my front cv axles were starting to go bad before I did the H&R lift. No noise or anything but a hop is felt under acceleration and at steady highway speeds. I have replace my passenger front cv axle with an aftermarket axle due to the boot being torn open and slinging grease all over. My driver side cv axle on the other hand is not torn but is bad as well I tried two different aftermarket axles with the results being worse than the bad oem axle. Eventually I would like to do a subframe drop and replace that axle to correct this issue. I have heard of a few owners performing this subframe drop as well I will see what info I can find and send it your way.
@@Jarred1115 awesome man, thanks! Yeah I had to remove the front spacers and just ran the springs. The rear still has the springs and spacers. Doesn’t look too odd but I’d like to get the clearance back! I’ll look into the subframe drop! Thanks
@@user-hb2ve3md6cthat’s my end goal I have a 5 speed base model. and the front end is like a solid 1.5 inches higher in the front. so just gonna throw the spacers in back but my rear alignment is a little off so gonna do the adj. toe arms and uppers in the rear first. Fwiw the jeep patriot and compass 1st gen share a lot of parts including the subframes so a subframe drop kit may work from one of these models.
Hey mate, the link for the spacer is for an outlander and you’ve put it on an outlander sport (ASX in my country). Is that why you had the need for the adjustable camber arms etc? I’m thinking of getting the ADF outlander 1.5 inch for my 22 Outlander and not sure if I need the extra stuff or just the ADF kit as it says offsets are built into the lift to account for alignment. Cheers
@@Joshua-fm8jw according to their website you don’t need to get the other stuff in order to get your alignment dialed in to spec. I wanted to add them just to be certain as there is no camber adjustment from the factory in the rear.
What size tires were you able to squeeze on there? I have an outlander and I have been entertaining the puck style lift but I don’t want to keep the same size tires
@@dakotaembree6343 I currently have a 235/60R18 I had them in stock suspension and rubbed a little bit then no rub after the ADF spacer lift. Could go bigger now but no need to get rid of these tires just yet.
Im washing mine and i can smell diff fluid, never changed it, i have 100k on my outlander
Did ypu change your cvt fluid
Thanks for your videos. Hope you still have the outlander sport. I’m planning to get the same roof basket but with roof rails, as with cross bars the wind noise may be an issue for me. Also, have you thought of installing an LED light bar to the roof basket?
I do still have my OS it’s a great vehicle and I really enjoy it. I usually don’t have my roof rack or basket on unless I’m using them for something as I don’t really enjoy the wind noise and cut in fuel economy I get when they are mounted. If I ran it with them all the time I would consider installing a light bar on the basket as it’d be a very good spot to have one installed.
@@Jarred1115 thank you for your reply. Please Keep making videos. I really loves your ideas and can be used as a reference because I feel OS isn’t that popular and can’t find a nice channel like yours.
I think you can use h11 on that h7. , they have alot of room
Did you wait until the fill port completely stopped dripping new fluid before installing the plug back into the differential/transfer case or did you install the plugs as soon as it started dripping new fluid? Thanks
iS REPLACING THE COIL NEEDED FOR A TUNE UP?
If you want to go for a full tune up you could. But generally speaking if you are not having any troubles the coil packs would not need to be replaced. I changed my spark plugs well before the recommended interval as a preventative maintenance.
They make cool ones for the mirrors too
These are not side markers. They are turn signals. Side markers are those remain lit at the front and the back even before you turn on the headlights. Nobody has made video about how to change the side marker bulbs on Mitsubishi Outlander SE 2015.
You are correct these are side indicators not markers. I have replaced my side markers with LEDS just have not posted a video on it. I’ll see if I have the videos still and can get that posted shortly and I’ll tag you. There are only replacements for the front as the rears are built in to the taillights. Just normal socket like chafing out a headlight bulb they are sort of tucked in the fender on each side so a little hard to reach but can be done without removing the headlights.
Do I need to do that for 2 Wheel Dr. 2.0
I’ve been getting idle drop when stopping. Anyone have had this issue? Feels like engine gonna choke but catches back up to spec. Happens worse when it’s hot.
It can be fitted on a 4x2 ASX 2010+?
From my understanding yes. The newer generation ASX, RVR and Outlander Sports share the same suspension so these springs should be a direct replacement adding in some lift to the suspension.
Yes, it fits in asx 👍
Have you had any problems with the tires hitting the strut/spring/suspension assembly while off-roading? I ordered BF KO2 255/55/18 from Costco and they wouldn’t install it because they said it was too close and would void the warranty.
Very minimal rubbing with a 235/60/R18. The tire size you want to guy to is .7” wider so I would see it rubbing a bit just on normal steering.
Appreciate the speedy reply! I got the idea from (m.th-cam.com/video/rvrXBOsZeqs/w-d-xo.html&pp=ygUUTWl0c3ViaXNoaSB0aXJlIHNpemU%3D) I’m kinda bummed out now. Idk what to do. Is there a higher clearance suspension system? Will installing H&R springs help? Any ideas would helpful!
@@jiacao2775 haven’t seen that guys rig. He does a good job pointing out the rub points all the same ones I had. If he’s on stock I’m impressed with the small amount of rub. I have both the ADF spacers and H&R lift springs I’d say you can assume if you do one or the other you won’t run in to a whole lot just those two zones on full lock and if you do both you’ll likely be fine with no rub at all. I was debating going up a bit next time I need tires but that won’t be for another year or so hopefully.
🔥🔥🔥🔥
Dlzyou didn't check the gap? The one thing that counts more than the rest. All it takes is for that box to have been dropped once, and they would all be off.
What’s the gap spec?
Perfect vid. ! Did mine lastnight. Thanks!!!👊
Hey Brother. It seems you need to tighten them plugs a little more. 18 ft/lbs The plugs have crush seals that need to be sealed. You may have trouble down the line. Thanks for the video.
Thank you so much best wishes from Afghanistan 🇦🇫
Thanks very much for your response. That's very helpful, we don't want to over tighten it
FYI the ralliart snorkel makes a slight difference
Thanks for the info! I figured it would not change too much. Do you have it paired with a drop in performance filter? Or did you cut the plastic cowl that blocks the air flow from going through the radiator support?
@@Jarred1115 both cut and drop in.but before I tried a knn Cai way too loud almost no difference
Cool bro I have a white 5 speed and just installed the hnr springs it’s sitting too high in the front hoping it settles a lil bit.
It should a little! Mine did not settle after installing the H&R springs but I got mine second hand so I think they were pretty well worn in. I honestly love how much stiffer they are over stock springs.
whats the torque spec to tighten the plug
I am not certain off the top of my head. I just went for “tight enough”. I will check tomorrow when I can look it up on pro demand.
Okay so the transfer case is 24ft lbs (plus or minus 2ft lbs) for both the drain plug and fill plug and the rear differential is 23ft lbs (plus or minus 2 again) for both the drain and fill plug.
Hy guy! how many lift with only h&r spring? Do you if this spring are good for outlander phev 2018? I'm look to buy kingspring or adf lift kit... I think adf lift kit is better with rear arm to can modified rear camber value like original or at choice (+-1,75°). What do you think about this idée. What is the better choice? Thanks lots. Tom (France).
Sorry for the late response just H&R should be 1.2” and just ADF should be 1.5” of lift. I am unaware of the king spring lift. I certainly recommend installing the adjustable rear upper control arms with either option.
South Carolina 700 dollars my wife was charged for that job
That’s insane if the only did plugs… should be no more than 1 hour labor call it $145-$200 depending on the shop and area and the spark plugs should be anywheres from $90-$120 depending on shop mark up.
Can we do this with the tires on??
You could in the front by turning the wheels from side to side. But in the rear it would be extremely difficult.
Do you know if the new tail lights they put on the 2020 would fit a 2018-19? They look a lot better
I’ve seen a few people do it but you need to add in resistors so there is not any issues with swapping to full LEDs. I’ll look around and see if I can find some links to what others have used
What year is your outlander? I have an 18 with the terramax 2 inch lift pucks and have these exact springs on order, anything I should really worry about or anything to help? I do have the camber bolts from the puck lift that will be installed are the rear arms necessary? Not to familiar with suvs know more about trucks so anything helps!!!
Where did you get that yellow strut brace?i like it😎
Just an oem strut brace from a lancer/evo that I sanded down and painted yellow.
@@Jarred1115 oh okey that's nice because i thought you buy it online😊
Will it fit on a 2020 mitsubishi outlander sport?
What is this for? I have a 2020 too lol
Does it affect the gas per mile?
Looking at my mpg data that I’ve logged I do not see any difference compared to last fall/winter without the lift springs and my current mpg with lift springs. With both I’m seeing my average between 22-24mpg.
How is axle lid going this high? I’m assuming it has independent front suspension and rear? I haven’t actually worked on one of these before but my mom has one and she wants to do something like this! I just don’t want her breaking anything. Have you had any issues with axles binding or anything?
I had to replaced one axle unrelated to the lift because the boot torn and wore it out. And my other front axle is currently bad and causes a slight vibration on take off but goes away at cruising speeds. I would say with both lift springs and lift spacers in you will have issues with the front cv axles unless you correct if by doing a subframe drop. If you only do one of the lift options which I would suggest the springs as a standalone you should have too many issues. The angle it puts on the cv axles is not too bad.
Are the RVR generally good AWD vehicles without doing this? Like basic gravel roads winter driving?
I would say absolutely the first year I had mine it was stock on used all season tires and I had no issues with the winter weather here in New York. The lift makes no difference besides ground clearance and fitting bigger tires but you could keep the suspension stick and just get better tires and be very capable as CUVs go.
@@Jarred1115 I was looking at used RVR I got a super deal on a 2006 AWD Sienna van so decided to get it. But will look at an RVR in the future. Not as cheap in Canada as in the USA.
Bro!!! just about to do the same but they told me to add Upper Control Arm aftermarket +/- 2 degrees and Alignment Kit bolts to help with the wheels going inn due to both springs and puck lift kits. Did you have any issue with this? we need to get together to compare our 2 builds. !!!!!!
Hope you enjoy it when you get it all installed. With the Detroit axle rear upper adjustable arms I had no issues with the alignment but in the front the cam bolts are maxed out and not fully in spec but barely out.
Perfect! yea i just got the same Detroit arms for the rear and Alignment Kit will do the trick@@Jarred1115
What’s for the yellow horizontal bar?
That is a strut bar that connects the tops of the front struts to provide a little more rigidity in the suspension and lessen body roll.
Do they fit the Outlander 4wd type 2 as well? The 2012 model. Thank you
I don’t believe they would work on that model year from a quick search online looks as the suspension is different in that generation
Did your rims come from the factory black?
Thes did not come with my car but they are the oem option for vehicles with the “black edition” package
I have a 2015 mitsubishi outlander 4wd . Does have a tranfer case and rear difential like this ? and thanks for this video

where can i buy that spring ? look awesome 👍👍
Another great video. One question... What sway bars do you currently have on your OS?... I'm trying to find something a little bigger than the OEM sway bars, and so far haven't found anything. Thanks for any help you can provide.
I have oem sway bars but looks like ultra racing and white line may have some aftermarket options just from some posts I see in our group. When my sway bar end links go bad I’m planning on getting the moog ones
@@Jarred1115 Thanks for the reply. I contacted Whiteline and they said they didn't have any compatible with the SE AWD Outlander Sport... Just looking at some of their sway bars, it seems that there are a few that would work, along with the adjustable end links. Will definitely look at the others you mentioned.
