- Welcome to the first episode of Stormlight Archive Secrets & Easter Eggs. Short, concise information with a dash of rabbit-hole theorising. This series is an effort to build hype for Wind and Truth, the upcoming fifth novel of The Stormlight Archive and what will be the mid-series finale.

Reread Wit's conversation with Shallan in Oathbringer. There's a part where he talks about being afraid of someone, and he's almost certainly talking about Cultivation. I wouldn't be surprised if she's not an antagonist to our heroes in the future. Brando sando is misdirecting us with Odium but I think cultivation is the true brains behind this entire plot.
The prologue of wind & truth was incredible. Cant wait for the Gavilar prequel: Gaslight Archives
Cultivation ABSOLUTELY is playing the long game. And considering how long a game odium was willing to play over the millenia I can only imagine we won't know where it culminates until late in the second era
Love the short form. Love the podcasts. It really keeps the hype up for the Wind and Truth
Great format and idea, definitely produce some more.
One of my favorite is when you remove the dust jackets on the hardcovers, the covers are colored for the polestone of the order of the flashback character.
Love the lifelight theory with Lift.
Theory?
This was perfect. I know there has to be tons of secrets and Easter eggs so telling them to us in little bits won't make it overwhelming.
It always amazes me just how high quality your videos are! Even for a 4 minute video naming some eastereggs, the presentation is at the top of all TH-cam!
Love your content and all things “Lost in Discovery”! Keep it up Cremling!
Thanks so much!
Love the podcast. Haven't watched many of your vids (yet?) tbh, but I like this shorter format for sure.
Thank you :)
Re: Cultivation. After I caught up on the podcast I've shot ahead on the reread. It was mentioned in a Taravangian chapter (can't recall which, but towards the end of WoR) that said that the Diagram required constant cultivation. That was surely 100% intentional by Brando.
Storming Brilliant!
I'm enjoying everything you put out, so no worries.
This video was fantastic, you had me completely FLOORED about the lack of spren in the prelude. I need more!
Can't wait for Wind and Truth!!
I didn't realize that Cultivation could have her own agenda :O she must have, it just makes sense... I was too focused on Honor and Odium. Now, ***SPOILERS AHEAD*** she has influenced a "good character" (Dalinar, bonded to the Stormfather), an "evil character" (Taravangian becoming Odium), and a "neutral character" (Lift, whos true motivations and objectives aren't very clear). She most definitely will be end game material.
Thank you! You’ve been killing it with content! Thank you and keep growing!
Thanks man!
Dude this was amazing
Nice mate. Please keep it up and consistent
I finished Rhythm of War last week and looked for easter egg videos on your channel. This is perfect timing. Keep them coming, please!
I'm loving the shorter form content. Still has good quality depth.
I also am a big fan of the Sleepless. I have a theory about how they'll play a major part in the end game of the Cosmere.
It's posted in the 17th Shard Forums under the title "The Sleepless Reformation of Adonalsium"
Good quality depth.
Sure.
I'm so keen mate, I've gotten 3 of my friends reading The Way Of Kings this year already 😅
That’s awesome!
This was great!
Cheers!
I went on a deep dive of the prelude Shinovar thing cause I love the theory. (I also love the theory that Shinovar is somehow connected to Ashyn).
However I think there is evidence that it is NOT in Shinovar. First in the description of the prelude it talk ALOT about rock and stone. Second, when Dalinar goes and visits the the abandoning of the Oathpact in a vision (Oathbringer 38), he does not comment at all that it is weird and in fact he later has Jasnah and Navani join the vision and Jasnah comments "Jasnah turned to look around the canyon. “I know of no place in our time of this description, Uncle. This seems like the stormlands, from those formations.” “Maybe it’s lost somewhere in the Unclaimed Hills?” “That, or it’s been so long the rock formations have weathered away completely.”"
I think she would recognize Shinovar.
Also in that same vision Dalinar gets an axe to the arm and it says he sees a SINGLE painspren. Why is there only one, was there less spren in the past? Or was it only there in the vision and would not have appeared in the actual past?
My current theory is that they were there in the prelude (maybe less of them?) But they aren't described as a choice by Sando. The beginning of The Way of Kings is already so overwhelming. So this is something that can be described later to make it a tiny bit more simple. And I don't know what spren we would see in the prelude. The battle is over, we don't see a lot of living people doing things. Mostly just two heralds talking, so maybe some fear spren or anticipation spren or something? Idk.
gonna start my reread soon, I only audiobooked it before so I need these vids!!
I love the theory that Taln didn’t actually break. Would love to hear your take about it
Have you read the Stormlight 5 Prologue already? There is a huge hint about whether Taln broke or not.
Awesome - thanks for sharing!
Thanks for watching!
Ok yes I think Cultivation probably has something goin on with her plans, such as with Lift. The Sunlit Man though is obviously either set after Stormlight Era 1, or the whole series in general and I think there’s a lot of information that can be gleaned from it. I haven’t read it all yet but it’s obvious that the Knights Radiant retained their powers, though some great catastrophe occurs on Roshar leading Nomad (if you haven’t read the book I won’t spoil his real name) to have to take on a Shard. I’m not sure which shard it was, but I’m keen on believing it was in fact, Odium. Which leads one to believe that Odium was defeated somehow but by a bigger player and problem. Nomad seems to have a distaste for people from Scadrial but not a hate, so they might actually prove helpful but problematic to the Rosharians.
Great shorter version of your video- I'll be waiting for the sequels!
Thank you!
Yeah mate this is amazing and I’m excited but I’m very skeptical as to whether this will get an episode 2 and 3. What happened to the halfway theory things? What happened to new videos?
king
Love it!
Did all three see cultivation? Or just the nightwatcher? I know dalinar spoke with cultivation but I don't recall if we have even seen the scenes or been told on the other two. (Not sure if that distinction even matters, just can't remember)
Tara gets told that by cultivation, and Lift in Oathbringer describes Cultivation, so yeah, the three of them are confirmed to have been with her
@@Dominus24 Awesome, thank you!
I think the short form is a good move !
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed.

I hope, but its prob not true, that Ashyn is actually not destroyed. It is instead remade into a better place, with perhaps no humans, or perhaps just very primal humans given a new chance. It would go into some of the bigger themes of the books, and what Sanderson seem interested in. So like a Noahs Ark kind of thing, with people moving to Roashar, and leaving Ashyn be. Might be that the intent that the humans on Ashyn wanted from the dawnshard gave them what they asked for, but the result was a bit like Cultivation gives; a cost and unexpected repercussions. And it might be that there are no or very little magic on Ashyn... :)
🦀👍🏻
Really flexing those learherbounds bro. 😂
Would be a shame not to!
Why without Stormlight? There is Stormlight even when Honor is splintered, so what would have to happen for Stormlight to disappear?
No Spren in Chapter 1 because it’s in Shinovar.
The Sleepless reign.
Great video! I'm much more likely to watch a shorter video than a longer one. If you have 5 things to say, make 5 short videos instead of one long video. I'll watch the ones I want and skip the rest. If it's all in one long video I may skip the whole thing. Keep up the good work!
I'm the Rosharan Kandra
So the third 'easter egg' (that's not what these are) is just a standard reading of the text. Cultivation is cultivating? Really? Oh my days! What a super surprising hidden secret of the book!
