Part 2 should be recorded by Monday, then it's just a matter of how long it takes to edit. It probably would've been out already if we hadn't decided to squeeze the WaT predictions video in between
This was awesome! While commentary videos are nice, I TRULY enjoy the ones that have animations/ pictures/ art to visualize the Cosmere, to support the commentary. Since Stormlight Archive has been my all-time favorite series for a bit over a decade, I LOVE a video like this just for the visuals alone. The commentary is nice too, to refresh my knowledge, even though I've read the series 7 times over. But yea, I definitely would love for you to upload more vids that include visuals like this. Wow, just wow! Thank you!
Thanks so much for the feedback! I'm glad the video was an enjoyable experience. I am the new editor for the channel, and I will be editing all of the videos going forward, so most of the future videos should contain animations and pictures. We are looking to release a predictions video for Stormlight 5 here in just a couple days, so be sure to look for that!
It is written and recorded. I just spoke to the editor today (we both respond to comments using the channel profile, but this is the writer/host talking rn) and he thinks he'll be done with part 2 around the end of this month. I will say that Presten the editor puts in a crap load of effort to these videos so if you think the channel is cool it's mostly him that you're a fan of.
I just looked through your videos and noticed the Dresdin books. Have you read Jim Butcher's Furies of Calderon series? It's like a mix between Game of Thrones politics and Stormlight's Surgebinding, or even Avatar's elemental magic. Despite its similarities to other ideas, I felt the characters were REALLY well done, and the story and world was fascinating. I don't think repetitive ideas are inheritantly bad, otherwise we'd never have any more great books about elves and orcs and dragons since Tolkien wrote the first majorly-acclaimed such series (I know he wasn't the first overall, just the first to find such degree of success). So yea, I LOVE Butcher's Furies series. Lmk if you've read it!
I have not read it, though I probably will get to it eventually. I decided to move the channel away from the review format because I always felt like I wasn't really conveying any depth on my actual thoughts on anything that I read and the whole reason for starting the channel was because I wanted to talk about some really nerdy stuff in more detail then frankly my friends and family are interested in hearing. The upshot of that when it comes to Dresden Files and Jim Butcher is that I do have more videos planned on the series. I have read James Butcher's books, who's Jim's son, and I want to do some sort of examination/comparison about that. I think it is obvious that James had some professional level mentorship while writing, however he still has some other telltale signs of newly published writers and I think there is some interesting discussion to be had there. I will have to read at least one of Jim's other series at some point because I do also want to examine the way that the first person perspective affects Dresden Files and I will need to be able to contrast that to Jim's other work.
Awesome video! I can't wait for part 2!
Not too shab! good refresher! Lets go part 2

Awesome video!
Thanks!
you could boost your voice in the audio slightly
I’ll be sure to do that in the next one, thanks!
@@lightinmylibrary if boosting audio makes it distort, can also try lowering the music a bit. it's not too far off imo.
p.s. this video rules
@@lightinmylibrary Great video though, great for someone like me preparing for the next book release.
I think the voice is fine, rather the music is too loud.
Is the second video out?

Music is a bit too loud compared to voice.
Otherwise great video.
Thank you for the feedback, it should be better next video that is uploaded
Informative video. The music is a tad too loud, though: It distracts from and sometimes almost drowns out your narration.
Turn up the music and sound effects. I could almost hear your narration.
Wait… the exodus happened AFTER the prelude of WoK??? Buuuut there were humans in that.. and they were on Roshar…
Okay.. maybe I’m mistaking “last desolation” for the current one… lol i figured it out sorry
please please make the music quieter in future videos it’s so hard to concentrate on what you’re saying
Sorry, maybe i will watch your Video when you skip the music
