I loved DIG from watching aphro and neo learn together. I loved watching the dynamic between soligo, dardoch and fakegod. They seemed like they worked together well ajd understood they needed to give dardoch resource to carry till yusui was added in and ints on stage. im just so sad that DIG ruined a team that was seemingly working.
I love Dardoch as a jungler, to hear that he got thrown to the wolves (again, looking at you TSM) is just deplorable. Always when people say NA has no talent, I point to Dardoch as being such a great example of NA talent, in fact NA junglers seem to be very good (Blaber, Spica(there was even a time Akaadian and or Xmithie seemed really impressive)) Anyway, NA can do better, it's not the players, it's not the ping, it's just the culture of the region who settles for being mediocre instead of being truly brutal with who gets to play, and who doesn't. Combined with their very frustrating understanding of the game which has no cohesive style and or logic.

However I do not know what he did to get him kicked out, based on the discussion LS and Dom have about how if it was so bad, why didn't DIG just say what it was, perhaps it was so bad that DIG felt sorry for him and kept it under wraps. In any case, its very rare you have a player who quietly plays well while losing. Most players, especially those who are good and are aware about how good they are, point out mistakes and even flame teammates. I speculate that Dardoch's flame went a bit to far as usual. I still respect Dardoch as an NA player and hope he does make NA proud one day.

as interesting as the 100t vs imt draft was to watch imo the fact that half the champs in the draft are flexable between 3/4 roles each is very unhealthy for viewership and the game as a whole. seeing the same 10-20 champs every game gets boring pretty quick and having multiple roles dominated by the same champ adds to it.

Overall I think its a great place for the meta to be in where flex champs are (potentially) leveraged in the draft strategy; the draft segment becomes much more compelling and tense as champion pool depth can lead to some wild advantages. But winning in draft can make the games a forgone conclusion, especially when the teams are also nerfing themselves through their roster changes and such. I found myself drawn to watching the drafts, and switching tabs to watch the RedBull Wololo tournament when the games were on.
LCS teams needs to start firing players. You have your league full of mediocre players which prime was 4 yeas ago; aphromoo, Wildturtle, Akaadian, Pobelter, even on their prime they were not that good. Kick them and get new blood, yeah you may strugle the first split but I refuse to believe that they can't find better players on Academy or Solo Q. If Doublelift and Bjergsen can understand that they need to retire to let the League grow, why can't these shitty players get it and stop taking space from the new generation.
Turtle and aphro were top 2 in their positions, aphro was mvp in 2018. While all of those players have fallen off, saying they were never good in their prime is completely disingenuous.

Let's get the best Native NA coach the LCS ever had to quit and resign over "issues" despite how amazing TL actually was doing. Never mind how shitty other native NA players have been treated since Franchising started. Damonte takes Clutch Gaming to Worlds... Huni gets a million dollar contract, Damonte gets benched. Damonte smashes Bjergson in summer playoffs on GG. Gets hired by 100T. Goes what, 7-2 and then gets benched for Ryoma. Sneaky, THE most clutch NA player in International play, took C9 to semi's at worlds and gets benched the following year. In 100T's first split they finish 2nd, then in the following split Meteos gets benched, their ADC has problems, and they look shitty at worlds. How many times has Golden Guardians has to totally restart their roster in favor of the top teams getting better by cannibalizing their roster talent? Year by year, split by split, there has been a consistent removal of native NA players and coaches in the NA region ans replaced with Imports. Dardoch getting removed is nothing more than the fact that Dardoch was destroying the narrative that he was kicking ass as a native NA player and it goes against the narrative of the NA region needing Imports. Same thing as why Damonte is no longer playing. He is a native NA player that was good enough to beat Bjergson in summer 2020 and that goes against the narrative of NA needing Imports. So he got removed from the League. And you can't deny that we have far fewer NA players in what is supposed to be a NORTH AMERICA REGION than we have international players. We have what, 15 NA players left? The LCS isn't a NA League. It's a subpar International League. One more fact. The more Imports we have gotten, the worse NA has done internationally.

At 1:05:21 Why does Dgon let Dom say these things Steve specifically said that they noticed there were problems such as a drop off in motivation, apparently poor scrim results during the offseason and that they wanted Alphari to take a break not just because of this but also because of the situation going on in his life so clearly the matter is more complex than just a manager and player arguing. The difference here is that they let Alphari decide his own fate. It was only after the TSM game that they realised he wasn't getting better and decided to follow through with their initial decision. If this version of events happened then it wasn't spur of the moment. The devil is in the details the result of the outcome was Alphari's decision and clearly it wasn't necessarily what the org wanted they trusted him to overcome his problems but after a period of time they didn't feel he could. It actually makes the org look good because they didn't have to give autonomy to Alphari in that situation they could've just initially removed him for his and their own sakes.

Essentially we are on the outside so we don't really know what's going on I can only go off the official information that has been released. Steve talks about a drop in motivation, this can actually be corroborated to some extent because the community itself was unable to find an active league account that Alphari had been playing on since the beginning of the off-season, the only ones we were able to locate are accounts that hadn't been active in months so unless he's amazing at being hidden this lines up with assertion that he's been demotivated to play and many in the community heard that was one of the initial reasons for his removal. His drop in his activity also lines up with the personal incident that happened to him. Poor scrim results was also another thing called into question, now if you recall on hotline league Jensen kept referring to Alphari as the "supposed best top laner in NA" imo that is a really poor choice of words to describe an active member of your team why would he call his credibility into question openly when he could've phrased those statements in many different ways that could've been interpreted way more positively. What could've possibly have happened for Jensen to describe Alphari in such an ambiguous manner? So yes Steve could be lying but I doubt he is, too many things line up. I reckon at some point in the future we may not find out what the personal problems with Alphari are exactly but I suspect he will confirm that he did have private personal issues in this time.
Call me old fashion but i prefer my pros to focus on the game and get better so hopefully we can stop being a joke. We don't watch the pros in other sports play in practice heck we hardly watch them in pre season. I loved DIG from watching aphro and neo learn together. I loved watching the dynamic between soligo, dardoch and fakegod. They seemed like they worked together well ajd understood they needed to give dardoch resource to carry till yusui was added in and ints on stage. im just so sad that DIG ruined a team that was seemingly working.

I love Dardoch as a jungler, to hear that he got thrown to the wolves (again, looking at you TSM) is just deplorable. Always when people say NA has no talent, I point to Dardoch as being such a great example of NA talent, in fact NA junglers seem to be very good (Blaber, Spica(there was even a time Akaadian and or Xmithie seemed really impressive))
Anyway, NA can do better, it's not the players, it's not the ping, it's just the culture of the region who settles for being mediocre instead of being truly brutal with who gets to play, and who doesn't.
Combined with their very frustrating understanding of the game which has no cohesive style and or logic.
Dardoch has gone through like 8 teams so far, maybe the entire management team of all these 8 teams must all be mentally retarded or maybe, you know, Dardoch is just really that fucking difficult to work with?
@@thienvo8457 I think its both, dardoch is historically very direct about his opinion, some of the times of course I agree with him. However I do not know what he did to get him kicked out, based on the discussion LS and Dom have about how if it was so bad, why didn't DIG just say what it was, perhaps it was so bad that DIG felt sorry for him and kept it under wraps. In any case, its very rare you have a player who quietly plays well while losing. Most players, especially those who are good and are aware about how good they are, point out mistakes and even flame teammates. I speculate that Dardoch's flame went a bit to far as usual. I still respect Dardoch as an NA player and hope he does make NA proud one day.

Dardoch did that and more. For a grown ass man that still does not know basic respect and communication towards the people in his life should honestly take a break and re-evaluate the decisions he has made and how to improve. You don’t just join 8 teams for a reason.

as interesting as the 100t vs imt draft was to watch imo the fact that half the champs in the draft are flexable between 3/4 roles each is very unhealthy for viewership and the game as a whole. seeing the same 10-20 champs every game gets boring pretty quick and having multiple roles dominated by the same champ adds to it.

Overall I think its a great place for the meta to be in where flex champs are (potentially) leveraged in the draft strategy; the draft segment becomes much more compelling and tense as champion pool depth can lead to some wild advantages. But winning in draft can make the games a forgone conclusion, especially when the teams are also nerfing themselves through their roster changes and such. I found myself drawn to watching the drafts, and switching tabs to watch the RedBull Wololo tournament when the games were on.

LCS teams needs to start firing players. You have your league full of mediocre players which prime was 4 yeas ago; aphromoo, Wildturtle, Akaadian, Pobelter, even on their prime they were not that good. Kick them and get new blood, yeah you may strugle the first split but I refuse to believe that they can't find better players on Academy or Solo Q.
If Doublelift and Bjergsen can understand that they need to retire to let the League grow, why can't these shitty players get it and stop taking space from the new generation.

Year by year, split by split, there has been a consistent removal of native NA players and coaches in the NA region ans replaced with Imports.
Dardoch getting removed is nothing more than the fact that Dardoch was destroying the narrative that he was kicking ass as a native NA player and it goes against the narrative of the NA region needing Imports.
Same thing as why Damonte is no longer playing. He is a native NA player that was good enough to beat Bjergson in summer 2020 and that goes against the narrative of NA needing Imports. So he got removed from the League.
And you can't deny that we have far fewer NA players in what is supposed to be a NORTH AMERICA REGION than we have international players. We have what, 15 NA players left?
The LCS isn't a NA League. It's a subpar International League.

The difference here is that they let Alphari decide his own fate. It was only after the TSM game that they realised he wasn't getting better and decided to follow through with their initial decision. If this version of events happened then it wasn't spur of the moment. The devil is in the details the result of the outcome was Alphari's decision and clearly it wasn't necessarily what the org wanted they trusted him to overcome his problems but after a period of time they didn't feel he could. It actually makes the org look good because they didn't have to give autonomy to Alphari in that situation they could've just initially removed him for his and their own sakes.

Essentially we are on the outside so we don't really know what's going on I can only go off the official information that has been released.
Steve talks about a drop in motivation, this can actually be corroborated to some extent because the community itself was unable to find an active league account that Alphari had been playing on since the beginning of the off-season, the only ones we were able to locate are accounts that hadn't been active in months so unless he's amazing at being hidden this lines up with assertion that he's been demotivated to play and many in the community heard that was one of the initial reasons for his removal. His drop in his activity also lines up with the personal incident that happened to him.
Poor scrim results was also another thing called into question, now if you recall on hotline league Jensen kept referring to Alphari as the "supposed best top laner in NA" imo that is a really poor choice of words to describe an active member of your team why would he call his credibility into question openly when he could've phrased those statements in many different ways that could've been interpreted way more positively. What could've possibly have happened for Jensen to describe Alphari in such an ambiguous manner?
So yes Steve could be lying but I doubt he is, too many things line up. I reckon at some point in the future we may not find out what the personal problems with Alphari are exactly but I suspect he will confirm that he did have private personal issues in this time.

We don't watch the pros in other sports play in practice heck we hardly watch them in pre season.
