If you let him die, she still goes back to the shop in Baldurs Gate. She'll tell you the whole backstory of him mistreating her. You can then afterwards go to one of two strays wandering around and tell them she will give them a home. Always torn between the one looking for a mother, or the one that roles plays when asking us questions.
@@Cyb3rM1nd worked for me. and it makes sense, bibberbang supposedly works off vibrations, so if you're light as a feather you're not making as many vibrations as usual. I believe there's also a feather fall scroll in the dwarf's pack.
@@ZoeBateman There isn't a feather fall scroll in Baelen's pack. It's two misty steps. One for him and one for you. Also, if you have misty step scrolls already, then you can just chuck him one of yours and skip going for his bag entirely.
I threw him a scroll I already had. He teleported to savety - then ran back into the mushrooms to get his backpack nethertheless and blew himself up. Wtf?! xD
I triggered the bibobang without realizing he was in there and he somehow barely survived the explosion. He sorta just walked up and we talked like normal, no indication that he held me responsible for the apocalyptic event that he just endured.
If you talk to their pack mule it tells you it misses his master. If you give him the mushroom and cure his stupidity it turns out he is an abusive kind of guy and the pack mule starts to seem worried that the master is like his old self again.
Honestly, i moded the game and made my str stat +10, then added a bit of extra power with some gloves and karlach, and threw the fkr out of there xD. Literally YEETED his ass xD
When I first found this, I didn't notice teh guy was in there so I used a firespell to kill all the mushrooms The explosions lasted for a good half minute and I laughed the whole time, it was glorious
You can actually throw a single scroll of misty step to him either after or before you threw his empty bag, then he would become reliefed and misty step out there himself without bothering his bag being completely empty.
And also, the single torch next to his bag is what triggers that huge ass explosion, after picking up that torch you could just drink potion of poison resistance and get things within the spores.

Seems like he was an alcoholic guy who had some seriously sexist views (he openly says "we're gonna go back to you doing the heavy lifting lol" when you cure him). However, his wife, rather than leaving him, decided to continually poison him and destroy his mind, then torment him by sending him into extremely dangerous harmful conditions continually, and dooming him to eternally live in a hazy horrific existence where he hardly knows his own name. She also laughs about doing so and uses this partially braindead slave to try and get rich. So... they both kinda suck.

You can actually get protection from the mushrooms so they won't blow up. Meaning you can just walk in and get the noble stalk. AND you can actually feed it to Shadowheart.
Yup. The best way to get the noblestalk in my experience is first worry about getting him out safely. Once he's gone, throw the game in turn based and grab a character who can cast misty step a bunch. First get as close as you can to the mushroom (far right side, it's ringed in bibberbang), then misty step yourself right next to it and pick it up. The bibberbang doesn't explode immediately, move onto your next turn and use that getting the hell out of there. I've done it this way without even blowing up the mushrooms. I've heard feather fall can also keep you from triggering the bibberbang too but I've never tried it.
@@Littlepup93the best way is just to use enhanced leap, Lae’zel is perfect for freeing Baelyn and getting the noblestalk. Mage hand can throw backpack to him, she can jump to and from without taking any damage

How did you pick up corpse to the inventory? In my playthrough not a single corpse can be lifted because it is too heavy, no matter which character I use for that

I literally could not save this idiot, I toss him the scroll like he wanted, he uses it, and walks back to where he was and dies anyway. Reloaded 10 times to try and save this idiot and he kills himself every single time.
